It looks like the showdown between Ferrari and Williams is going to be the only thing worth watching.
Massa let me down; he should've been fighting for 5th instead of settling for 3rd.
Looks like we're dealing with a fair amount of technical glitches.
So, typical. Everything gets sorted at the absolute last second.
And McLaren is leading the pack, huh.

Adam Moore3 said:Sure, but it’ll still handle some light gaming. The R7 250 isn't a total disaster, and you can easily overclock an Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 on that board. You can definitely squeeze a little more life out of this setup. For $15— $533 it's a solid little build for browsing, media, and the occasional game. 😉

Thanks.
I'll give it a shot and let you know how it goes (so we can see if those estimates actually hold up).

As a die-hard Ferrari fan, I’ve gotta say—I’d love to see both Lewis Hamilton and Lewis Hamilton driving for McLaren. Together, obviously.
If it’s already a done deal that Lewis Hamilton is heading out...

We need Red Bull Racing.

Looks like the new boss decided it was time to clean house and fix some relationships. Someone—a newcomer—suddenly thinks they can just hand out favors left and right.

My wish list:
Sebastian Vettel
Daniel Ricciardo
Valtteri Bottas - Jules Bianchi

And I definitely don't want Nico Rosberg.

steelmaker83 said:It's nonsense. Ferrari was supposed to be the peak of Alonso's career. Sure, they couldn't build a competitive car most years (except maybe back in 2010), but claiming it's a good thing he's leaving because he's exiting a sinking ship is just stupid. Ferrari is an institution, period. And any departure from there is a step down.

That doesn't mean a "step down" isn't still a higher level than where he's heading...

I'm with you word for word.

At Ferrari, Alonso has a massive fanbase he won't find anywhere else.
The respect he commands there is huge, too.

McLaren?
A complete gamble and a giant question mark.
If he actually pulls the trigger on moving there, I'll take my hat off to him.

I can't believe it.
McLaren is just an old-school outfit where you'll clearly see one driver running the show while the other plays second fiddle.
Alonso is going to hunt down that number one spot wherever he lands. It’s just who he is.

Besides, Jenson Button only really finds his rhythm when he's sitting in a perfectly dialed-in car, and there's zero chance this new McLaren is going to be that smooth. Honestly, I think they're overpaying him, too. It just doesn't feel right.

stormybadger8 said:If this turns out to be true, a move from Vettel to McLaren would be surprisingly easy. Those two have known each other since their days at Red Bull Racing, and word is they actually get along pretty well...
Then again, if Ron Dennis leaves, I think the odds of Alonso ending up at McLaren become even higher...

But who gets bumped?
Is it the overpriced Button or Mag?
Better yet, just lose both.

Are you actually happy about this?
Who actually leaves Ferrari on their own terms?
Honestly, all I can really remember is Mansell.

Edit: here’s the full list of Ferrari's drivers, if anyone actually cares:
I checked out that list of drivers on F1 Fanatic, and honestly, it’s just more of the same. It’s hard to find anything truly surprising when you look at how the grid is shaping up. Most of these rankings feel like they were written by people who spend way too much time staring at telemetry data instead of actually watching the races. It’s all very technical, very dry, and frankly, a little exhausting. I don't know about you, but I'm starting to lose interest in these constant reshuffles.

Plenty of points, sure, but hardly any players left.

stormybadger8 said:It wasn't even a matter of Rosberg having room on the track. He was so far away from the edge that you could have squeezed a third car in there just to overtake him on the outside without breaking a sweat. 😍
If something is actually a sure thing, then you can be damn certain it won't end up sliding off into the grass. 🤣

This GIF needs another second or two. It would be better if we could actually see that left-hand turn coming up right behind it.
Peter Carter6 said:I’m with you entirely on the first point, though with one tiny caveat: that’s assuming they aren't stuck in the same car.
As for the second part, you'd probably just end up putting them back in the same machinery anyway...

That's what I was getting at.
It’s all well and good throwing compliments at each other from a distance.

But if they were actually side-by-side, I doubt anyone would be willing to share their space.
Politically speaking, I don't see any chance of those two ever making peace or fixing things between them.
The situation is already way too toxic for that.
Nico is playing it smart—really smart. He keeps his mouth shut and just does his job. He isn't wasting his breath responding to Hamilton's constant chatter; he’s just handing that hot potato straight back to Mercedes.
Hamilton hasn't had much luck with the car's reliability, and honestly, his own frustrations have done the rest of the damage.

Mercedes needs to wrap this season up the right way. They should implement some strict conduct rules for both of them immediately. Luckily for them, they have such a dominant car that the title shouldn't be an issue anyway.

As for next year, they’ll need to kick one of them out.
Personally, I’d go with whoever loses.
