I'm just sitting here waiting for Mustard to get back to me about when I can finally stop applying this stuff, because if I don't figure it out soon, tomorrow is going to be a total disaster. I've got classes running from 3:30 all the way until 9:00 PM
Honestly, I just finished washing everything up after two hours of work because I have to head out to campus, so I’m just going to spread some Mustard on it and cover it with plastic wrap for lunch. Let's not mess around with all this nonsense; it's much better to be careful so nothing gets ruined. 🙂
🤣 Honestly, I end up looking like a complete lunatic; I’m bringing foil to my college lectures, and then during a break, I’m standing there in the restroom with one leg propped up over the sink to clean myself, while everyone gives me these weird looks because they think I’m just an idiot lifting my pant leg for no reason. In reality, I’m just terrified of having an accident right now, especially given my eye color 😁, and I hate that I come across as some kind of freak 😵
Let’s try this—since I’m totally panicking here—I applied the ointment at 10:20 AM and I’m going to have to head out pretty soon, so should I reapply everything before I put the foil back on, or what?
Mustard told me not to sweat it, but Washington, D.C. has these whole different theories about changing the foil every three hours or whatever, so I’ve just been sticking strictly to their guidelines
Okay, so what happens if things are still looking exactly the same after the tenth day? Should I just keep applying the ointment and wrapping it in plastic, or is it time to call it quits?
And how long did it take before it actually started melting into your skin? I'm curious about how intense that peeling sensation really gets. For me, I just ended up with maybe two or three tiny black specks left on my palm, but honestly, nothing else happened after that.

If you don't mind me asking, what did you get tattooed and where on your body? 🙂
The link isn't working for me. Which website is it?
I got a black violet tattooed on my right calf.
It still has some texture to it, and it's currently day six. It started itching like crazy last night, though it's actually feeling fine right now. I'm honestly not sure if everything is healing correctly. I've been applying ointment every three hours after washing it with water and letting it air dry for about ten minutes.
I honestly struggle so much with waking up in the morning. For me, the only thing that actually gets my brain moving is putting in my contact lenses 😁 But generally speaking, you should try to give yourself a really good stretch as soon as you get out of bed. That usually does the trick for me.
So, just to make sure I've got this straight, even if it's still looking pretty fresh, once those first 14 days have passed since it was done, I can basically go back to wearing shorts like normal, provided I just make sure to slather on some sunscreen, right?
So, I recently went out and got some new ink, which means I'm stuck applying Bephanten ointment for the next few days while it heals. It seems like every tattoo artist has a different take on how to handle this during the summer months. My artist told me I could probably get back into shorts after about two weeks, provided I’m being extremely diligent with a high-SPF sunscreen—so if anyone knows which brand offers the highest quality protection and where I can pick it up locally, please let me know. On the other hand, some other artists swear by staying completely out of the sun for at least three months. I don't usually go out tanning in the summer anyway, but I am curious if there are any other tattooed folks here whose ink looks like something specific 😁 who might be able to advise me. For instance, if I apply plenty of sunscreen, would it be alright to go for a quick hour-long walk with my dog or maybe ride my bike around at 2:00 in the afternoon? Thanks
It feels like people have started using the word "depression" so casually lately that they’ve completely lost sight of how heavy it actually is. It isn't some passing flu that you just shake off after a few days of rest. And honestly, there's this weird misconception that being depressed somehow equates to being weak, which couldn't be further from the truth. You can't look at someone and pretend you know exactly what pushed them to that point, nor can you possibly fathom the sheer amount of strength it takes for someone to fight through the things that brought them down in the first place. Everyone carries their own unique set of burdens and triggers, so we really need to stop treating such a serious matter like it's something to joke about.
I don't consider myself immune to these things, but if it actually happens to me, I'll just keep doing exactly what's expected of me and deal with the consequences from the comfort of my own home.
This is just more proof that you aren't taking this seriously at all. The core issue is that people become incapable of functioning because they’re struggling too much emotionally. And honestly, what does it matter if someone is suffering at home? What's the logic behind thinking you can just suffer in private, step outside, and suddenly transform into a completely different person? I honestly envy you, so please, share the secret. I feel like if you’re actually struggling with something, you really have to wrestle with it just to get things back on track, and that process ends up being pretty exhausting when you're trying to juggle everything else in your life.

Isn't heroin actually better though? At least it hits you faster. It just completely wipes out both you and the music. ☕

On the bus from San Francisco to New York City, there was this group of about six or seven teenagers sitting together, acting just like those unruly kids you see in old movies set in NYC back in the 80s. They were basically throwing a massive party right there in the aisle. "Hey little man, hey little man, let me buy you a gold chain!"😵 It was seriously exhausting for everyone involved. The bus was sweltering, the air was stuffy, and the driver and conductor were clearly losing their patience while these kids just kept chanting away at them. They started singing and howling so loud that even the batteries on their little devices were starting to die, but those kids just wouldn't quit with their repetitive songs. After hours of dealing with it, one of my friends finally snapped; she stood up, marched right over to them—and keep in mind, she’s a tiny woman, maybe barely 100 pounds—and snatched the device right out of their hands, tossing it under the bus. Then she had the nerve to ask if anyone had an objection. The kids were so stunned they went completely silent and didn't say another word until we reached our destination. I swear, I even heard them quietly testing to see if the device still worked! 👋

Man, you really know what's up. I honestly don't think anyone should be playing Joy Division for people like that. It’s just not right. Our whole vibe is more along the lines of margaritas before pigs.
Front 242 really needs to lean into that whole "Jesus is here" vibe, because honestly, they should just advocate for no sex until marriage. 😬
Give yourself some space to recharge both mentally and physically. Go do something you actually enjoy, maybe try a little meditation, and honestly, just stop eating that cheap college food for a bit and treat yourself to a real, decent meal 😉

Not really, because most of what I listen to involves people who can actually sing and play their instruments, so I don't run into those kinds of issues.😁
