I mean, I know it's Eric's project, but still, that whole thing is just on a completely different level. It’s really good 🙂
The concert was absolutely incredible, though everything went completely downhill when I realized someone had actually set my camera on fire. I had all those videos and photos from the show saved right there. I'm honestly pretty bummed they didn't play Sen to destry or Deathbed.
It really isn't worth wasting your money on SOM. They’re honestly underwhelming in person, and if you go to see them live, the only thing you'll actually walk away with is a sense of total disappointment.☕
This isn't just going to be a concert, it’s going to be an absolute legendary event 🙂 I honestly can't wait!!! I know I'll end up losing my voice, gaining some weight from all the food, and who knows what else 😬 We're All Electric 🙂

My husband and I are from San Francisco, and in situations like this, we honestly feel a real sense of regret that we don't live in Washington, D.C.😢
Sigh, and here I am always listening to people say, "Lucky San Franciscans, they have such a much more developed scene." 😁 There really isn't any hope for the gothic crowd in the rest of America.

That sounds awesome, I am really looking forward to 👋
👋 👋 Do you happen to know what times they'll be playing dark Voice and Red Lilly?? And how late is the night going to run? I absolutely love Halloween 😈

I’m 17, and I’ve been wearing contacts for about six years now. My prescription started back in first grade—just bad genetics, I guess; my dad has it, his mom had it, the whole thing. Until about sixth grade, my vision was dropping by a full diopter every single year, so if I remember right, I was sitting at -6.5 by sixth grade. Since then, I’ve stuck strictly to hard lenses because they supposedly help prevent the prescription from worsening, whereas soft ones don't. I’ve worn them for over six years without any issues, and I’ll probably wait another year or two before either switching to soft contacts or, if Bog allows, saving up enough cash to finally get LASIK and be done with it. Naturally, my prescription has only drifted up by about 0.25 in those six years, which is nothing compared to that old -1 per year trend.
As for this whole "overnight lens" craze that claims to fix your vision while you sleep? I’ve looked into it on ABC and even talked to doctors about it. They don't recommend them because the lens puts constant pressure on your cornea, which can cause permanent damage over time. The consensus is that the sweet spot is wearing them for about 8 hours a day.
You shouldn't even consider getting rid of your prescription until you turn 24, because that is when your body finally stops growing.
...I have been thinking about that too, but the doctors seem really split on the whole thing. For instance, my own doctor is against it, though I am certainly not going to argue with her if I happen to get the chance to visit a highly renowned and reputable specialist instead. I am honestly just fed up with my prescription constantly increasing. I have been wearing contacts for nearly nine years, and it has reached a point where I simply cannot function without them, especially since even glasses with a stronger prescription don't help me much anymore.
As for the original poster—I wouldn't recommend any kind of overnight lenses. Contacts are a foreign object in your eye, so you shouldn't be wearing them for extended periods, and definitely not while you sleep. If a child's prescription keeps changing frequently, it is better to just buy monthly disposables, which is what I personally use. But overnight lenses are absolutely out of the question.
I had an absolutely incredible time. My only real regret is that I missed the set by Grendel/Combichrist 🙂 🙏... I honestly loved everything they played both before and after the main show, and even the Phantom's floor caught me by surprise with tracks from Danse Society (who I've actually been begging to play for about three years now), along with Marionettes, Mizar, and others. It's a bit of a shame though, because since then my tastes have shifted mostly toward electronic music 🤣
I think Monofonik sounds amazing; I remember listening to them back during the after-party at the Control party in SC, though I have to admit the vocals and the lyrics don't quite click for me.
The concert itself was fantastic, and I actually think they sound much better live than they do on their studio recordings.
All in all, I am completely satisfied and I'm definitely looking for more like this 😵
P.S. A huge thank you to the DJ for playing those tracks in the hall during APB IN this together
I I’m missing out... honestly, if things hadn't happened twice in the same year and if the circumstances were just a little bit better, I would have gone. Then there was Mats Leven, who was basically my personal catastrophe, and now that we finally have Theli and everything is falling into place, I’m stuck here not being part of it. But whatever...
What a damn shame about the tracklist, though I really wish they had kept Wisdom and The Caga Summernight on there. Still, this is going to be absolutely killer, I can already tell 🙂 Aside from that, I actually think it works better without Mats Leven 😁
I'll see you there. I'm really hoping we get an idea of the pricing soon because I need to give my crew out in Belgrade a heads-up, since so many of them are interested in going. Hehe, and I'm hoping Monofonik will throw together some kind of Joy Division mix, similar to what they used to play at the SC after the Control party premiere 🙂
