I couldn't agree more! 😁 And what about Mein Teil? 🙂 😁

Unfortunately, I haven't managed to pick up the full album yet, so I've only been listening to three tracks: Mein Teil, Amerika, and Amour, and honestly, Mein Teil is absolute perfection 🙏, though those other two are great too.

I am really looking forward to getting my hands on the whole thing because there's just no way it'll be bad. Rammstein isn't going to release a subpar album, they've already proven they're on another level. 🙏

By the way, the album promotion started on October 7th, but they've only released Amerika so far 😁 Or maybe the ethanol finally kicked in and I'm just misremembering? 🤔

I've got about 35.5 GB of MP3s sitting on my drive.

I’ve been thinking quite a bit about whether any of us truly needs to find that one single, definitive spiritual teacher who can point the way forward and show us our specific path. It feels like there is this widespread idea that we should be searching for one ultimate authority figure to guide us, but I personally struggle with the notion that such a singular person exists for everyone. In my view, the journey is much more personal than that, and while a great mentor can certainly offer clarity or act as a catalyst for growth, the actual direction usually comes from within ourselves rather than from a single external source.
Should you be the one to reach out and initiate contact, or is it better to just sit back and wait for some kind of sign that they might actually be interested in talking to you?
Do you honestly believe that, following the logic of Lennon’s thread about "the people sent to us," we should just be sitting around waiting for some kind of Teacher to finally reveal themselves to us?

I truly believe that we have the capacity to serve as our own spiritual teachers, provided we stay dedicated to the work of self-improvement and the constant uplifting of our own spirits.
If we happen to cross paths with people who actually have something intelligent to contribute and can teach us something meaningful, then that’s a win in my book. There's really no reason to limit yourself to just one perspective or rely on a single individual for wisdom. You're going to gain a much richer, more complete understanding of the world if you make the effort to listen to a diverse range of voices.
I reached out to him because I felt like I really needed to talk to someone, but he never actually got back to me, so I just stopped calling since it’s pretty obvious he isn't going to be able to help me.
I’m not sitting around waiting for someone to come along and show me the way, because I’ve been doing my own searching and teaching myself everything I can from the ground up. It might be a little easier if I eventually found someone who could offer some extra support or guidance, but honestly, I am perfectly fine forging my own path for now.

righteousness said:So, here it is. I’ve been dealing with a real struggle lately... I’ve been going through a serious spiritual crisis for quite some time now, and honestly, I feel pretty lost. I really need someone to step in and help point me back toward the right path.
I feel like I’m just drowning in this endless sea of commercials, targeted ads, and those late-night radio preachers.
How am I supposed to know when I've finally found the right one?
The absolute worst part of this whole mess was that I actually went through the trouble of coordinating schedules with both of them individually, only to have them both push me back at the last minute by citing their "official" business trips.
So, does that mean those teachers are essentially "the problem" in my eyes, or is there even such a thing as a "right" kind of teacher out there?
The person posting above isn't actually recommending anyone to me. 🙂 🙂

I'm feeling a bit lost right now and honestly don't know where to turn, so I wanted to reach out and ask for some advice on what I should do next. 🙂 🙏

You really have to be the one to figure out your own path, which basically means you need to develop a clear vision of what the right direction actually looks like for you personally. Someone else might be able to point you toward a compass or offer some guidance along the way, but at the end of the day, finding that road is a journey you have to undertake entirely on your own.

I can't really get on board with that perspective, because I don't see why we should ever feel the need to restrain passions like playing music, painting, or traveling.
If we are talking about physical impulses, then there is a different conversation to have, since from an ethical standpoint you might need to exercise restraint sometimes, even if biologically it isn't how we are wired.

This whole thing is actually because of my previous post, since I brought up Jon Bon Jovi specifically to mock the term "hair metal," which I honestly find ridiculous, rather than for any other reason. 😁

Hair metal band 😂 Jon Bon Jovi 😂

My vote goes to Bryan Ferry and Iggy Pop

I was wondering if someone could tell me which album Ava belongs to... or honestly, in your opinion, which one is actually the best?

I absolutely adore Ava 🙂 ..I can't really recall anything else 😳

wanderingcrane51 said:I ordered mine from a different planet, but once you factor in the ridiculous shipping costs $10 and then the delivery guy hits me with an extra charge for like $2.25 the total comes out to be $12!! 😠 Still, when it comes to Therion, it’s honestly worth every penny $83 😁

I think I was there today, $58 actually.
ironfalcon18, you want to trade sometime? 😁

Between all the insults, the endless flamewars, and the constant bickering, you guys have finally realized that you’re actually perfect for one another. 😁 That is really quite lovely. 😍

😕 I don't recall us ever having an argument between the two of us. 😕

ironfalcon18 said:He told me the same thing, but he clearly didn't follow through on his word. I can definitely dig up some Therion for you if you want, since I'm sure you probably already have most of the stuff that would interest me anyway.😁

I can do that. Just let me know what you're looking for, though I honestly suspect you likely own everything I have in my black metal collection, and most of my stash is really just darker stuff, some Gothic metal, and a bit of punk.

That’s a bummer. I probably wouldn't have been able to make it out to Denver anyway. Besides, Elezović told me he was going to get them delivered right here to the office in downtown Chicago...

The law says so... I think I'm actually going to try and get my hands on it now. I don't have a huge amount of extra cash lying around, though. By the way, do you know anything about those rumors regarding Therion, Tristania, and Trail of Tears playing a show in Denver?

That's just Tarja 😁 I honestly find those kinds of female vocals hard to get into most of the time too, though I really dig them when they're used in Tristanija or Therion, and frankly, nothing else really compares.
But ali Nemo rules 🙂
