Are you running multiple partitions? For example, a C: drive for the OS and a D: drive for your data and media?
If you are, my suggestion is to format the C: drive, wipe out that "hidden" recovery partition, and just leave the D: drive alone.
Once you've cleared them out, simply create a single new partition to install Windows 7 on, and you're all set.

If you actually want the transparency to work, you need to head over to the Windows Experience Index and run it so the system can "evaluate your hardware." Only then will the Aero effects actually kick in.

Hey, the link for the Windows 7 full suite finally arrived. Now I'm just waiting on the original license to show up, and then I can get to work without any worries.🙂

So, a new version of the popular Nero Burning ROM dropped a few days ago. It’s surprisingly fast, efficient, and incredibly easy to navigate.
The Engine is significantly faster than previous iterations. I'd love to hear what everyone here thinks—is it worth making the jump to ABS 7, or should I just stick with Nero?

You just search Google for a way to strip the Windows 7 watermark, find a tool, download it, run it, restart your PC, and you're done. That's it.

Right-click on your desktop, go to Personalize, then ScreenSaver. From there, hit Change Power Settings. On the left side of the screen, select "Choose what the power buttons do," and you'll see exactly what's currently selected under "When I press the sleep button."
If "Sleep" isn't selected, then that should be the fix. It really ought to be that simple.
