Everything was handled internally on my end. But look, my kid just clocked me right in the nose this morning 😢 No bleeding, but man, it really stung! Now it feels like my nose is drifting to the right again, though I’m still pretty swollen so I can't say for sure. I have to see the doctor in the morning... if something actually shifted, is it even possible for them to fix it while it's still fresh, or am I just talking nonsense here?
How long did your facial swelling last? I’m not just talking about my nose—I mean my actual cheeks and everything. It’s been two weeks and the left side is still swollen. Is it even normal for the swelling to be asymmetrical like this? On top of that, my ear and throat on that same side are killing me, and I’ve got a nasty cold on top of it all. 😢
I took my bandages off yesterday, and honestly? Both my surgeon and I are thrilled. He actually called in a colleague just to show off how perfect the results turned out! I’m still dealing with some swelling, but even now, my nose looks significantly smaller than it did before. For anyone sitting on the fence, I can't recommend my doctor enough. I had my procedure done in Cleveland with Dr. Zarko Peric. I didn't rely on any referrals or connections; I just trusted my gut, and I have zero regrets!
I can't help it, my nose is already starting to get irritated :/ I've still got this lingering cold, so I'm constantly blowing my nose. It’s honestly exhausting!!

I actually asked the doctor if people normally breathe this well after the swabs are out. 😂 And honestly, this bandage is driving me insane—it itches like hell.🙏vraka:
Just wanted to share a quick win: I’m already breathing through my nose normally, and it’s only been 10 days. 🙂 The crust has cleared up. Whatever slimy residue is left after rinsing, I just wipe it away gently with some gauze and call it a day. The only issue? My nose is itching like crazy. :/
Why is everyone rushing back for a revision? Is the initial work actually that bad, or do people just decide they hate how their nose looks once it’s finished and want a do-over?
I’m honestly terrified to touch it. I feel like if I breathe wrong, I’ll just pull a stitch out. I’ve been working on it all day today, and finally, I can actually breathe through my nose normally. The right side is still a bit tender after the swelling goes down, though. How long were you stuck sleeping exclusively on your back? Today is my ninth day, and I’ve started sleeping on my side—is that going to be an issue?
And how exactly did you spray that? Is just tilting my head while standing enough, or do I need to lie down and hang my head over the edge of the bed? Can you actually overdo it with this kind of spraying?
I didn't get any ointment from them  And what about the scabs? Did they even bother cleaning them out? During that first checkup, or did they just skip it entirely? I have no idea why he didn't give me anything 🤔
Alright, I'm going to ask a question that’s probably been asked a thousand times already, but what kind of drops were you guys using to help those scabs fall off?? I swung by the CVS this morning, but the name completely slipped my mind.🤔 Also, can those drops actually cause damage? I'm asking because they didn't give me anything besides saline for my nose. If those scabs haven't come off by my check-up in a week, is the doctor just going to scrape them off manually? I really want to avoid that if possible.😳
Tampons are out! I won't sugarcoat it—it actually hurts. It’s more on the side where they were cleaning me out, but at least there isn't any bleeding, which is a relief. Has anyone else dealt with one side feeling more swollen than the other? My right side and my eye are both completely bruised and purple.
I think I might have scored a win since I’ve only vomited once. 🙂 The anesthesiologist asked about it, so she mentioned they’d probably give me something through my IV while I was waiting in the pre-op area. It’s been three days now and I barely have any bruising—just some slight purple discoloration around my eyes. I’m removing the tampon this morning; tomorrow marks five days since everything was inserted.
I dealt with some serious issues: massive hypertrophic nasal conchae, basically mushy cartilage, a rightward deviation, and a hump that had to come off just to get my nose centered since it was leaning left. I’m pulling the tampons out tomorrow morning, and if the bleeding is under control, I’m heading out on Tuesday. My doctor wants to keep me until Saturday to have the molds removed, but that feels like overkill to me. Fingers crossed everything looks good tomorrow!
The procedure lasted about 3.5 minutes. I'm getting Voltaren injections right now; I'm covered in bruises and completely swollen. I'll have the tampons removed this week, but who knows when I'll actually be able to go home!!
I had this blood work done because of some nasal congestion issues I've been dealing with for the last four days. Please help me make sense of these results. I'm particularly concerned about the last value since it looks a bit off. I am 27 years old.

I'm glad everything is working out perfectly for you! I still have five days left until my next appointment, and I'm really hoping my nose finally starts behaving 😁
Karen Clark12 said:Ideally, you wouldn't have to deal with even a couple of days of downtime after surgery. But if you already mentioned it to them and the nurse didn't bat an eye, then it’s probably fine. Honestly, between the stress and the pre-op jitters, you might just end up pushing things back by a few days anyway. 😁
It’s possible. Honestly, after surviving childbirth without any anesthesia—and not even touching a single pill since then—I can probably handle this too, if God wills it! 😁
