So you're actually staying in the train station building?🤔

Just print it out, laminate it, throw in some dice and poker chips, and you have a real game right there. 🤷 It's perfect for $6.75.
I am not looking to buy, just browsing.
Does anyone know where else in the city I can find a photo booth besides the one at Importanneu?
Hahaha, I don't actually need it for squeezing 😂 though it is certainly not a bad idea 🤣.
I really just need it to pack things while I'm shipping them—it’s a minor role, really. You can find envelopes practically anywhere. Thanks a lot; I wasn't sure what the name was 😍.
Does anyone know where I can pick up those little plastic bubble packs used for packaging—the ones we all love to pop? 😬

That’s fine; you don't necessarily have to experience a missed period during the first three months—those are certainly possible side effects.

Personally, I feel like I have, and frankly, it feels incredibly foolish. If I do stop taking them, will that extra weight just vanish into thin air, or is it the kind of stubborn baggage that sticks to your ribs and refuses to budge?
I’ve had quite enough of these mindless little tablets already; I am counting down the days until I can finally quit. I’m hoping to wrap this up within the month, as I really need to be in decent shape before my trip to the lake house.

Yes. And naturally, the weight won't just disappear on its own; weight never simply vanishes by itself.😁
However, if you exercise and watch your diet, that should do the trick.
Nathan Fox5 said:I honestly think she really needs to take a break from the pills. I didn't take my break, and well, look where that got me!
Anyone who is on hormone replacement therapy should really make it a point to get a full hormonal panel done once a year. When you're dealing with that kind of chemistry, you can't afford to be careless; it's just too important to leave to chance.
Hey there, wishing you all the best and good luck!😉

You don't actually monitor your hormones through the pill itself.🤷
Nor is there any medical necessity to take breaks from them.🤷

I've never had a single issue with my heart before, so I'm totally convinced this whole mess is just because of that stupid Yasmin pill!!! My left arm was aching and my head has been pounding all day long 😢so I'm definitely demanding my old Diane back😍😍since it worked perfectly for me and everyone else too... I'm not even considering anything new, because I am absolutely not playing "pill tester" with my health😂 Thanks for the reply😉

If I were in your shoes, I would stop taking the pills until I had done some thorough research to understand exactly why this is happening. However, you should consult with a gynecologist first; they will be able to explain the situation and provide guidance on what to do next.

Brenda Fisher86 said:I’m honestly having a hard time wrapping my head around your symptoms.... are you absolutely certain that Yasmin is actually the culprit here? And did you happen to run any tests before you started taking that specific medication? I was on Yasmin myself until just recently, and everything seemed perfectly fine on my end, though I made sure to stay on top of all my routine 🤷
Anyway, regardless of the cause, it’s definitely a smart move to go see a gynecologist

edit: and please, don't just stop taking them out of the blue, because you really don't want to throw your body for a loop; you should probably wait for your doctor to walk you through the best way to taper off...(I learned that lesson the hard way once myself)

When faced with symptoms like these, there isn't much to be done other than stopping immediately and heading to a doctor. You shouldn't take heart issues lightly. It is the same principle as recognizing the warning signs of an embolism or similar conditions involving leg pain. In certain cases, taking that step can quite literally save your life. 😉

By the way, Yaz, the exchange rate for Trinovum is sitting at around 14 and change. $39 At my local pharmacy, Logest goes for about $80. However, you'll find that prices vary quite a bit depending on which pharmacy you visit.

Your gynecologist cannot refer you for further cardiac screenings. You should investigate why this occurred, as you might easily find yourself returning to birth control pills. If you have any underlying heart issues, you really shouldn't be taking them. Best of luck 🙂

Stop taking those pills immediately and go see a doctor.

briskmoose90 said:I've never taken breaks. I've been on birth control for three years now, using different brands...

What counts as a minimum break? I know my OB-GYN decides that, but still... just so I know in case I ever have to.

If it takes three months for your body to adjust to the pill, then I suppose it takes about the same amount of time to reset. 🤷
My doctor mentioned that six months is already quite a long break and that I could start again... I originally stopped because none of them worked for me, but I started back up due to some gynecological issues.😳

shadowfox49 said:Does anyone here meet both these criteria and can give me an answer:
1. You tried Logest and it wasn't for you.
2. You switched over to Triquilar afterward.
What was your experience like after the switch?

I saw my OBGYN today and we got talking about birth control. I mentioned that I might consider starting pills again in a year or two, but they feel way too expensive right now and aren't really worth it—plus, Logest just didn't work for me. He goes, "Want to try Triquilar? I'll write you a prescription for them, $13 they're just as effective."
Are they actually that pricey? (Like, what's the actual cost? I could only find old pricing online).

I had the opposite experience. I started out on Triquilar, and those combined pills just weren't right for me, and later I tried Loestrin, which also wasn't a good fit. -.-
There is also Trinovum, though it is quite $5.00 expensive. 😬

Jeffrey Walker3 said:So glad I stumbled onto this thread, because now I just realized I totally forgot to take my pill yesterday! 🤦 I was out on the town, things went long, and voila... 🙂

So, normally I take it around 10 or 11 PM, though sometimes it's earlier or later. I just took this one now. Does that mean it's been more than 12 hours? (The instructions say if it’s been over 12 hours during the first week—and this is only my third pill—we have to use backup protection for the next 7 days.) It varies for me; sometimes I take it around 9 PM before heading out, and other times it's closer to 1 or 2 AM when I finally get home...

Just use it so there isn't any trouble. 😬

vividtinker89 said:Thanks for the reply...🙂 I know it’s not great to take breaks. I’m just mad at myself for doing it... I couldn't make it to the pharmacy to pick up my prescription, so I ended up pausing for a month over something so stupid...🙄

It’s unfortunate, but it would probably be best for you to extend your break for another few months. You don't want to shock your system by jumping back in too quickly. In my experience, when I first stopped, my cycle was about two weeks late, so this kind of adjustment is perfectly normal. 🙂

Yes, you are late because of the pills. You shouldn't restart until you get your period, but it isn't really recommended to take breaks of only a month if you have already been cycling through them.

Keith Barnes3 said:Well, mine told me to take a one-month break after the first six months (though I think that was pretty pointless since I didn't even get my period then), so I just kept taking it immediately.
It’s been three years now and I haven't stopped. My liver tests have been fine, mostly because I’ve been proactive about getting blood work done... actually, my doctor suggested I stay on top of it.
Maybe eventually I’ll switch over to something from a newer generation, like Yasmin.

Wow, 😳 a break after only six months 👎.
If everything is working well for you, there really isn't a reason to change anything. Enjoy the stability while things are going smoothly.😉

Anthony Morales5 said:Yeah, I've been on Yasmin for ages. Haven't gained anything, but unfortunately haven't lost any either—though I have noticed my cellulite acting up lately.🤷Can't say for sure if it's the Yasmin doing it, but a ton of girls have told me they noticed the exact same thing...

Oh, boy. 😬

Keith Barnes3 said:Hey, what do you guys think about taking a break after using Triquilara for a few months? I mean, does anyone here actually have experience with this?

If everything is functioning normally, then stopping would be an incredibly foolish move.

Grace Jones3 said:Look, Pixie, just because she—or anyone else—had certain side effects doesn't mean you're destined for the same thing. It's not a one-size-fits-all deal. You could end up with something totally different or honestly, nothing at all. For me, Yasmin was an absolute nightmare—constant PMS, eating everything in sight, mood swings that would drive you crazy, just being pissed off all the time. So yeah, it’s all super individual.

First time I'm hearing that. 🤷 When I started the pill, my doctor basically just told me to kick things off on the first day of my next period.

Now, if your cycle is a total mess and irregular—meaning you have no clue when it’s coming—they probably give you those pills so you can get on the regular schedule ASAP and stabilize everything faster.

Olivia Cox77 said:I mean, how are you even supposed to start taking the pills on the first day of your cycle if the whole point is that you aren't getting your period in the first place? It feels a bit like a catch-22, doesn't it? 😁
Most of the time, when your period decides to skip town, it’s because of something like PCOS, and since birth control pills are often the go-to treatment for that, I suppose there's an added urgency to get started—just so things don't get too out of hand with hormone levels or whatever.

Yeah, I agree regarding that first day. The real issue arises when you don't get that initial day at all, which leaves you with no window to actually start the regimen. I understand the logic behind the process, but I am genuinely curious about why the timing has to be so specific. There is clearly a reason for starting exactly then, even if the reasoning isn't immediately obvious. 😁

My mother thinks there might be a connection here. She believes that because we don't know exactly where I am in my cycle, it’s possible the uterine lining is quite thick, which could be causing the heavy bleeding while on the pill. Honestly, I have no idea if her theory holds any water or if she's just overthinking it. 🤷

Sean Lopez3 said:I'm wondering if it's actually necessary to get blood work done before starting birth control?
Thanks a lot 🙂

Yes, a blood panel will clearly indicate whether you should be taking them at all. Don't take chances with this; it only takes about half an hour, yet in certain situations, it can be life-saving.

Question 😬

When someone misses their period for any reason—excluding pregnancy, obviously—and discusses switching to birth control pills with their gynecologist, why is it necessary to take tablets like Dabroston to induce a withdrawal bleed before actually starting the pill regimen? I understand you shouldn't just start oral contraceptives out of thin air; I wouldn't dream of doing that, but I am curious about the specific medical reasoning behind this step.

It starts off on a high note, though it loses a bit of steam toward the end. All things considered, it’s a very solid film.
