My OBGYN gave me a referral to go get an OGTT and an insulin test done at Mayo Clinic... I went in last week...
Now, look, I know what an OGTT is, I know how the procedure works, and I know how to read the results... But I'm wondering if anyone here knows what this specific value means:
- fasting insulin = 51.5 (ref. range 48-188) ...I assume that's fine... - insulin under load = 595.0 (no ref. range provided) ...that's where I'm stuck... I have no idea what that signifies...
Has anyone here actually undergone this specific test? Or maybe you've heard something about it? I haven't been able to find anything useful on Google...

Just to set the record straight on this... you can actually get limescale removal covered by Medicare, but that’s strictly for the manual method. If you're looking to go the ultrasonic route, you're going to have to pay an extra fee out of pocket.

The cake was made by M&M Bakery out of Rudes... and they were absolutely fantastic...
We ordered four cakes total. We had one massive centerpiece for the crowd of 100 people to slice through, plus three additional cakes sitting out on the dessert table alongside a big basket of fresh fruit...
With 220 guests in attendance, we definitely had plenty of cake to go around...
Personally, I didn't want to go with those tiered cakes where every layer is a different flavor; if you do that, half your guests end up missing out on the specific flavor they actually like. Instead, I handled the slicing and serving for the main cake myself, while the other three were just available for guests to grab whenever they wanted throughout the entire evening...
The total cost for all four cakes was $900...
As for the pastries, we sourced those from Absum in Columbus (formerly Bond Pro), and they truly blew me away... they put together about 20 different varieties, and honestly, every single one was better than the last. The pricing was unbeatable ($18/kg), and that includes their delivery right to the hotel ($67) as well as their professional packaging and cellophane wrapping...
