Charlotte Hornets-Houston Rockets
Wednesday at 1:00 AM — 2.10 | 13.0 | 1.80 | 1.80 | 1.60
Washington Wizards-Toronto Raptors
I honestly don't know where my head is at with this one—it’s sitting at 1.80, maybe even a bit more if you look at the other lines, but there's just something about that 1.80 mark that feels... I don't know, tricky? It’s hovering around those numbers, looking like a potential 2.10 or a quick 1.60 depending on how the action unfolds, but right now, I'm leaning towards the 1.80. Just a gut feeling, really.
Philadelphia 76ers-Sacramento Kings

Portland Trail Blazers-LA Clippers
I honestly don't know what to make of these numbers—it's just a string of odds sitting there at 4:00 AM. Looking at this spread... 1.50, 15.0, 2.60, 1.40, 2.25... it feels a bit chaotic, doesn't it? It’s like looking at a messy scoreboard after a blowout where nothing quite adds up. Just staring at the screen waiting for something that actually makes sense to happen.
Los Angeles Lakers-Phoenix Suns
Wednesday 4:30 AM | 1.30 | 16.0 | 3.60 | 1.20 | 2.90
Golden State Warriors-Miami Heat

Half-time: 1 X 2 | 1X | X2

Charlotte Hornets-Houston Rockets, Wednesday at 1:00 AM. The odds are sitting at 1.95 for the home side, 9.50 for the underdog, and then 1.90 and 1.57 for those other markets—looks like 1.54 for the alternative. Just some late-night hoops to chew on.

Minnesota Timberwolves-Chicago Bulls, Wednesday at 2:00 AM. Looking at the lines here—2.30 for the underdog, 1.64/1.81 split—it feels like a toss-up leaning slightly toward the home side. My gut says 1.37 might be a bit too generous for the favorite, but we'll see how it plays out.
Memphis Grizzlies-Oklahoma City Thunder, Wednesday at 2:00 AM. The odds are sitting at 2.00 for the Grizzlies, 9.50 for a blowout, and then we've got 1.87, 1.59, and 1.51 for the various spreads and totals. Interesting matchup coming up.

Not yet. They don't usually drop those offers this early in the day.
Can moderators threaten other members? It's about a terminator. in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Hannah Roberts66 said:Look, I have to be honest—I’ve posted a few things meant as a joke, you know, like wishing the mods would get hit with a mountain of warnings next year. Any sane person would see that as just a bit of harmless banter. But instead, I got banned by the moderator, and then he started sending me threats via DM about a permanent ban, along with all sorts of other intimidation (which, honestly, sounds like something you'd call the police over—not to mention the owner of Reddit, who apparently thinks letting moderators act like this in private messages is totally fine).

I’d love to see some actual proof for these accusations being leveled against me.
Otherwise, I might have to ask the admins for a partial ban for the FBI or even a total permanent ban myself.

The only messages I ever sent you were the automated ones triggered by issuing warnings or bans, and in one instance, I simply noted that if similar posts continued, a permanent ban would follow.
Besides, if those messages were actually "threatening," why didn't you report them? 🤷

Can someone pull together some NBA betting lines (with the spreads) from Germany? 🙂

Throw in the halftime/full-time odds too 🙂

Thanks, by the way

James Taylor3 said:Danny Granger is just a total whiner—and honestly, not the brightest bulb in the box either.

Look, I know the guy is absolutely losing it. At the start of last season, he was consistently dropping 20-plus points like it was nothing, but this season? It’s been an absolute train wreck.

I went all in on the hockey parlays tonight (still think I'll stick strictly to those if I want to play for higher stakes 🙄), only to get burned by the one thing I was practically certain would hit—predicting Blake Griffin for 2 and Dirk Nowitzki for 4 points 🤦. Honestly, I thought I was being clever with Derrick Rose, but even then, I wouldn't have walked away with anything 🙂

Blake was solid, but he only took "just" 15 shots, while Dirk went 7/17 and Danny Granger finished 2/13... good grief

If you ask me, there’s absolutely zero value in taking the under on Rose—especially when you're looking at odds like 1.70. Just doesn't sit right with me. 🤷

I actually played him for the over at +2.00.

I'll explain my reasoning later— right now I'm rushing over to DraftKings— because apparently the local branches have to close whenever they feel like it.

Can't really blame you if you're the one who deactivated your account in the first place. 😁

It’s pretty well known that football is basically the king of sports here in the US.

Don't rely solely on our local bookies for info, man.🤣

It’s a brilliant concept, honestly—but I can’t help thinking there would still be those absolute geniuses out there who’d find a way to ignore it entirely 🙂
Betting Shop Subforum Rules in Betting Forum ·
Just like my colleague laid out—and she did a pretty stellar job explaining it (shoutout to James Taylor3 and a few others who actually get the point here)—the rules about not posting stakes (or, if you insist, posting them only when you have actual proof of the wager) aren't going anywhere. If anyone has an issue with that, they’re more than welcome to find another corner of the internet to hang out in. 😉

Let me say this one more time:

We implemented this rule because we were getting hit every single day by people acting like high rollers—throwing around massive numbers on slips they hadn't even placed (or just betting pennies to look the part). At the end of the day, how much someone bets doesn't matter; what’s a huge amount for $17 might be nothing to someone else, while a 5k bet feels like 🤷 to another person.

I don't see any issue with not posting stakes, or if it makes you feel better, providing proof of payment 🤔

Moving forward, please stop dragging questions about this (or any other rule) into the daily threads. Keep the debate strictly within this specific topic.

Robert Harris4 said:For me, betting isn't some little hobby—it's a business, plain and simple. Honestly, stay away from those online sites like Bwin or Bet365; the headache of actually getting your money out, not to mention a dozen other issues, just isn't worth it. Based on my own experience, my advice is to stick to local US sportsbooks that offer an online platform—it makes getting your cash much smoother. If anyone's actually serious about online wagering, you can find more details over at my personal forum chat. You can follow my live bets there too; I'm not playing for kicks, I'm playing to make a profit. If you don't believe me, just check out the slips I've posted on the forum.

Alright, fair enough, but now quit plugging that forum because advertising is against the rules here (unless, of course, you're paying for the ad space). 😉

154. back at it again with the exact same question and the same old idea 🤦

Check out this thread —and hey, if that doesn't kill your appetite for doubling down, maybe give that method a shot. Just let us know once you've managed to pull together enough credit to pay off those debts 😉.

(for instance—you’re watching a game live, a team is up by two, they’re totally dominating, and there’s maybe 15 minutes left on the clock—so you take the bet just to ensure they don't lose (meaning they won't concede three goals) and the odds are sitting at 1.004)
honestly, he’d probably put more effort into bending over to pick up loose change off the sidewalk than he would playing this out just to grab a tiny win ☕

Take this match, for example:

Wannabes said:Check this out. 😁 In the opening match of the Africa Cup of Nations, Angola was leading 4-0 in the 78th minute, and the odds for an Angola win dropped to 1.01. This guy takes it and drops $4,400 on it—and well, the rest is history. 😁

From what I gather, that was his college fund. And the kicker? He blew $4,400 chasing a measly $44 profit. What a joke. 🤣

The risk-to-reward ratio isn't even remotely sane, and let me tell you, a scenario like that is BOUND to happen eventually. When it does, you don't just lose a massive chunk of your starting bankroll, you lose every little cent you managed to scrape together.

And then you serve someone a shitty cup of coffee 🤦

Stop bragging and acting like betting on these pathetic micro-odds long-term is some kind of winning strategy, because it's absolute nonsense.
It's been proven time and again—this is just one case in point.
It only takes one single match like this, or anything close to it, for the whole theory to fall apart completely.

You really ought to read through these threads:

That’s a pretty weak guarantee if you ask me... 1.3 is basically even money (looking at DraftKings, the Lottery, and I haven't checked the others)

tominator said:Turns out I was wrong about the Real Madrid odds (I figured they'd be part of some massive special offer, but the line at 2 didn't budge—it didn't go up or down, really—I was expecting something closer to 1.35-1.40).

Looks like there were a ton of big bets coming in on Real Madrid, so the bookies are probably sweating the potential payout 🤷. That's why the odds on Dinamo Chicago jumped (DraftKings, PSK, and HL are all sitting at 17 to 1)

.

🤷

Plus, the odds didn't even drop, so I didn't end up leading anyone astray 🙄

And you just felt the need to jump in and comment on that, why???

I wasn't even debating this with you, and you're hardly a regular here on the IMF forums, so I honestly don't get why it got under your skin so much 🤔

Morgan Wright said:It’s going to be lower than 1.43—because if you look at those odds for the draw at 5.5 and a win for Dinamo Chicago at 12 (over at bet365), you’ve basically got a surebet sitting there. Bookies don't exactly love promoting that, especially not during Champions League matches.
That 1.43 figure includes a 5% margin, which is essentially 1.36 when you look at it online... it won't go any higher than that. 😉

Fair enough, I hadn't looked at it from that angle—I was just throwing out some rough estimated odds. 😉
Given what you pointed out, I suspect the odds for a win in our local US sportsbooks will probably land somewhere between 1.35 and 1.40.

The odds just dropped at our local spots (SS, Lottery, DraftKings—didn't bother checking the rest)—everyone’s sitting at @ 1.30 for Real Madrid

I'd bet anything the odds will be higher by game day, but hey, do whatever you want
