I'm looking to book an appointment with a dermatologist to check out some skin spots, but I have no clue how to go about it. I've never actually seen a derm before.
I do have supplemental insurance if that helps at all.
Starting October 1st, I’m officially done with this "diet" phase and moving back into a muscle-building block (high protein). The issue is, I’m still not happy with the body fat I’ve lost. I’m hovering around 205 lbs, but I’m still soft, and my chest looks too bulky because of the fat. I really want to hit 198 lbs first.
So, for anyone who actually knows what they're doing: is it even possible to pack on muscle and keep hitting PRs in the gym while losing fat at the same time?
The plan is to smash whey shakes a few times a day plus tons of high-protein food to hit at least 150g daily (even though I realistically need 180g), since I've been stuck at maybe 50-70g during this crappy diet. My gym progress has been basically non-existent lately.
Are there any supplements that actually help here? Maybe L-carnitine or a fat burner? Does any of that crap actually work?
I want to keep cardio low if possible. I hate running, and I'd much rather just put in the work with heavy weights.
Morgan Richardson said:It all comes down to how hard you actually train if you're worried about gaining fat... But look, if you put in a killer session and then knock back something like 50g of protein and 50g of dextrose (fast carbs), I'd say you're good. About an hour after that shake, you need to eat a solid meal with both protein and carbs. That’s your most important meal—don't skip it. Every meal matters, sure, but this one is non-negotiable.
Look, a legit workout means hitting 14-20 sets. (If the training was lighter, I'd probably just use a smaller scoop, especially if I'm using cheap protein, so why not give it a shot?)
Sorry, I didn't quite catch your drift. Aren't you supposed to drink the protein immediately after training, like within an hour?
I mean, once I finish that one shake, should I grab something else to eat right away, or just wait a few hours until my regular mealtime?
I probably already asked this, but someone catch me up because I don't have the bandwidth to dig through 140 pages right now.
So, I’ve got a chance to snag some whey protein at a decent price, and I need to know: I've been hitting the weights for about four months now, but my actual goal is to lean out—drop the fat and build muscle at the same time. You know, the holy grail.
Up until now, I've just been grabbing whatever food is convenient after a workout, so I haven't really thought about it much. But if I drink a shake with this protein right after training, is it going to turn into fat, or is it 100% going toward muscle building? Like I said, the whole point is losing the fat.
If it won't go to fat, do I still need to eat something after the shake, or is that enough?
For context, I'm 6'5" and currently sitting at 210 lbs.
Things are a bit messy right now and I can't get my proof of residency confirmed at the moment.
I went back to JPMorgan Chase to try explaining things to another teller, but he just brushed me off rudely, saying they won't touch anything without that paperwork.
Total letdown. Does anyone know if there's a way around this? Do I seriously need those specific documents, or can I just give them my alternative address? For crying out loud... 👎

Opening accounts was a breeze, too—didn't run into any issues at all with JPMorgan Chase or Goldman Sachs. 🤷 I even mentioned to my wife that I don't actually stay at my registered address and that I have everything mailed elsewhere, and it wasn't an issue.
Honestly, sounds like you just ran into a clerk who didn't know their stuff. 😁
Whatever, I'll head back in a few days with more confidence and just push for it.
She’s cool though, so it’s fine. 🙏 😂
edit - okay, so she put me into the system and all that, I just need to show up with that confirmation to wrap things up. Can I just go to a different branch near me and finish the process there?
Just left my bank and ran into a massive headache. I’m staying at a different spot than what’s on my official ID right now, so I told the teller to just mail my PIN to my current address instead. Now she’s claiming she can’t send anything unless I provide proof of residency first.
I can't get my hands on any documentation right now for a dozen different reasons, and honestly, I don't get why they're being such sticklers. I asked around, and everyone else says they just gave their updated address and moved on without a single issue.
Is she just messing with me, or is there actually a way around this bureaucracy?
