I’m not even being mean here, it’s just that you have your views, you don't let anyone—including yourself—🙄 change your mind, and you honestly couldn't care less what people think. If everyone was like you, nimblemarlin17...

Even my girlfriend told me the same thing tonight. I've got my own way of doing things and I don't give a damn about anyone else's opinion.

I’m into all kinds of Football. Lately, I've been playing more myself, but watching it at a stadium or on TV is like sitting through a movie where the ending changes every single time. It's the same deal with any other sport—it's just fun to watch. As for the money side of things, it works just like any other job. The top performers get the biggest paychecks. An FC Barcelona player is obviously pulling in way more than a player on the Spanish national team, just like the CEO of General Electric is making significantly more than the manager of the local corner bodega.

If you look at the lineup for most amateur festivals—you know, those one-minute shorts or indie video showcases—it's obvious there are way more technically competent entries than there are films with actual substance. It just proves my point: if you have a message, you don't need to be some technical virtuoso.

Here's the thing. We've hit a new issue. Even mainstream American professional movies don't have much intelligence to offer lately. So why on earth would we expect anything different from the amateurs? 😁
bluecobra9 said:I don't think the guy plans on shooting with a digital camera. Actually, he went out of his way to brag about how precise and technically interesting his work is going to be.

He could, though. In the end, the result will be the same—garbage. Using a basic camera would keep his costs at rock bottom and show some humility, which people actually respect. People, get real. In this country, the peak of amateur filmmaking is basically Bruce Lee. Americans just don't know how to make movies. Anyone with actual ambition left the States a long time ago to work overseas. It’s completely pointless to ask, "Why do so few people in America watch amateur films?" Hardly anyone even shows up to see professional movies in theaters here, let alone some guy's home movie.
northerncrane4 said:So, how much does it actually cost to run a blog, genius?

Depends on a few things. Your internet connection and how long your posts are. If you're writing constantly and stuck using dial-up, those bills add up fast. Plus, you gotta buy a computer. You can shoot an amateur movie with a digital camera, sure, but man, the costs pile up. 😛
Robespierre said:Who would actually bother doing something nobody watches, especially when it takes forever and offers zero payoff? 🙂

That’s basically the reality for 99.99% of blogs out there, yet people keep churning them out anyway. 🙄

Michael Anderson10 said:What’s even the point of living if you think Three Colors is the peak of cinema? Or some other garbage like that? Maybe you're into noir, too. Whatever. 🤮

Look, I’m not here to discredit anyone. Every movie has its crowd, and that goes for Dark film too. Just like Three colors has its following. You can't go around accusing people of having bad taste just because they like something you don't. Sure, every movie has flaws—personally, I'm not exactly a huge fan of anything by P. Jackson—but I'm not going to call his fans idiots.

The movie? Absolute garbage. It might be worth one watch if you find it on a rental service, $10 but paying for a theater ticket is a total waste of money.

The wheels are in motion.

Wait, am I the only one forgetting that names like Maldini (who isn't retiring anytime soon) or van Basten (once he's done with the World Cup for the national team) actually make way more sense for the Microsoft bench?

Look, let's not get carried away here. It’s not like Donadoni is some kind of new Mourinho.
Sandra Hernandez13 said:And under what conditions, even? They were practically begging for sponsors just to make sure they could even get to the tournament in the first place.. 🙄
The players got everything handed to them, and what did they give us besides that now totally washed-up third-place finish??
People pour their hearts out for us, leaving everything on the field, playing through pain and exhaustion, pushing themselves to the absolute limit, and all we give them in return—albeit politely—is a kick in the teeth.. 👎
You really think one CATASTROPHIC 3rd place finish at the World Cup means the end of the world for a young squad??
Shame on everyone thinking like that...

Look, honey, this is just sports. We all have the right to talk trash, especially when a team gets absolutely demolished like they did today. That’s the beauty of sports. Tomorrow is a new day and things can turn around, but today is a day for venting.
Mr. Ex said:Listen up, you little punk. If you're acting out, you're getting shut down. Period.👍

And honestly? I’m right there with him on that one. 👋

Oh, and another thing... everyone else has backup plans ready to go, while we're just left hanging... 🙄

Look, this is sports. One day you're on top of the world, the next you get knocked flat on your face. That’s just how it works. We took a hit today. Life goes on. The World Cup is coming up next year, and let's hope we don't end things like this again.
Tomorrow’s going to be a total washout too. They basically ran straight into a brick wall, and honestly, I have no clue how they’re supposed to recover from this. I just don't get it—how can a team suffer such catastrophic blowouts in two major tournaments back-to-back, like the last World Cup and now this championship?

Start your own thread, you know? 🙂

I love angry women holding a spatula... 😁

Look, Kate Hernandez, you clearly want to send these posters to someone, which is why you even started this thread in the first place—at least that’s my guess. So, where exactly did you pick them up? 😁
Let's get real here. Where can you actually find decent posters around here? I'm talking big ones, all kinds—music, movies, whatever.

I haven't laughed this hard in ages, just sitting here reading this brilliant website. That "Where is Val Verde?" link is absolute gold. 😂
