It was so obvious who would be the first one to start trashing the movie... cro Faže, it clearly says the film isn't for anyone under 16—who even gave you permission to watch it? 😕

Anything else is just pure hypocrisy. Period.
That's not true. Pešalov never actually got the media hype that other medal winners did. Back then, I thought it was unfair to him, but now I see how it works when an athlete gets bought out. I mean, does 99.99% of the world's athletes lose their minds the second they represent their country? Dwayne sold himself, and that's the whole point of this story. 👎

If that's the case, let Qatar be his home now. Some weaklings would cling to their American citizenship just because it makes traveling the world easier. He isn't going to Mustafa...
His statements today were basically him saying, "Yeah, I'm swimming for Qatar, but I'm still swimming for America." What? Is he expecting two flags to be displayed next to his name at the UN? What a clown. He probably grabbed that new passport ages ago. Poor mother...🙂
Is there even a remote chance we'll get a movie made here (in the broadest sense of the word, obviously...) that isn't centered on some kind of discrimination theme? Will anyone finally realize that people actually go to the cinema for entertainment, rather than watching some depressing tragedy about two marginalized guys, two war prisoners, two minorities, or two migrant workers?
Benjamin Gray66 said:You’re such a pathetic opportunist—a total sucker for Schumacher and Spielberg—that it’s no wonder you choke on mindless trash. Calling "there's no bigger nonsense" your highest praise? You think like some old lady knitting because she can't handle anything remotely challenging. You’re just a forum lunatic. If you were ten years younger, maybe you’d be interesting, but right now you just look like an aging idiot. And all that sucking up to the "authorities" on this board didn't even help you rise above the level of a basic message board joke. 👎 Pick a side and stick to it, at least then you won't look so incredibly stupid.
Look, Prika, just chill out. Don't try to act tough when you're clearly just being an ass. Look at me—do I spend my time trashing people just because they like a certain movie or genre? No. I don't give a damn about you or any of these "snobs" who think they can talk down to me about stuff as simple as action movies. Suck it.
Watched it last night. It was good. I haven't seen the original yet, but I definitely want to check that out soon. The new one is a solid action flick—no real nonsense to speak of. It’s not some absolute masterpiece, but it’s perfectly fine.
Don't be ridiculous, an Australian isn't going to offer you that. If someone like Gebreselassie never went anywhere, and there’s absolutely nothing out in Ethiopia—let alone a synthetic track—then why is Duje suddenly acting like such a genius now?

There are people digging through trash because they can't afford food in places ranging from Switzerland to Mongolia, so we aren't some special exception here in America. Honestly, I can't stand the losers who constantly whine about problems that no system in history has ever solved, and this one won't either. People need entertainment, and pro sports is one way to get it. Right now, Draganja is what everyone wants to argue about. It’s better than talking about social security. 🙄
Carlos Boozer said:Good grief. Look at what the media and the government are obsessed with. People don't give a damn about what's actually happening. Every single day they're digging through trash while babies are dying in hospitals, yet the news is fixated on some athlete.
Give me a break. This is a sports subforum. We don't need idiots cluttering up the space.

If Duje hadn't been given the shot to move up in America, if he hadn't been allowed to progress (like when he moved from his local club to the Coast), he wouldn't be talking. Duje got everything America could possibly give him. That includes the honor of being the first American in history to have the Ministry of Education foot the bill for a Master's degree at one of the top universities in the world.
America gave him everything it had to offer, but clearly, it wasn't enough for him...
Any true Split resident would spit in his face, and honestly, he deserves it.
Look, I don't go every single day, but whenever there's a movie that actually catches my eye, I'm hitting the theater. Especially if it's one of those Socialist Party flicks or an action movie.
Watching a movie at home on a DVD player or through some 5.1 headphones is nothing compared to the cinema experience. I never even bothered downloading DivX files for movies, only ever used them for series. Honestly, I don't get people who insist on watching new releases on a computer just because they’re too cheap to drop $8.25 on a theater ticket.
I honestly love hitting up AMC Theatres or catching a flick on Broadway because the tech is just miles ahead of the other spots. Every movie hits harder when you actually see it in a real theater. They seriously need to drop ticket prices down to about $6.75.
But look, the real issue is there hasn't been anything worth watching for the last couple of months. Not even on streaming services. I haven't noticed a drought like this in ten years. I'll walk into a rental shop and end up leaving with some old classic because all the new stuff is total garbage.
Richard Howard2 said:To be fair, Escape from Los Angeles actually earned its praise from most critics. I personally think it's a top-tier movie.
I tell people all the time that this is easily the coolest action flick ever made. It's over 90 minutes of pure, relentless chaos wrapped up in a genius finale. Too bad it’s basically just a carbon copy of Escape from New York. But honestly? In my book, the remake beats the original any day. 🙏
