I’m just waiting for someone to start a thread titled "Luis Garcia is Liverpool FC's greatest striker, better than Ronald and Henry combined."

Either you don't watch football or your standards are completely broken.
His only metric is that he plays for Liverpool FC and they’ve been playing like absolute garbage in the Premier League lately.
Honestly, Carragher is a total nothing, just like every other defender from England. He doesn't push forward, he barely touches the ball during play. All he does is jump around and hack people. Saying he’s better than Thuram or Ayala is 🙄 pure nonsense. Those guys actually knew how to play football.

Thanks, but I'll pass. I'm too old for that, and besides, I've already been burned once.🙄
Would you give him the Ballon d'Or? 🙄
Sure, maybe for the World Cup, but otherwise? No way. It wouldn't make sense to use it in a regular setting, but here we are.
It is what it is. Not everyone has a massive budget like Inter Milan or Chelsea FC.
It’s not even about killing the magic of the game anymore; it’s just getting way too expensive. If they’ve got the cash, fine, let them play like that, but not every club is going to be able to afford those kinds of balls or those types of goals.

Come on, they're descendants of King Arthur. Don't be like that.
brighthawk20 said:That’s exactly why they invented soccer...🤣 🤣 🤣
The Chinese people invented it. The English tried to turn it into rugby. People used to say the French would never be any good at soccer...😂
brighthawk20 said:Now comes the inevitable response: "Who the hell do you think you are anyway?"😁
He won't be anything like that. He's an Englishman. What kind of "creative" genius are you even imagining here? They're born without a creative bone in their bodies. 😁
A goal difference of +36 in the league proves they're actually playing. Liverpool is sitting at +12. I honestly thought they were even worse than this.
Brandon Castillo4~ said:You can't lump Milan, FC Barcelona, and Manchester United together when you're talking tactics. That sentence you wrote just reeks of pretentiousness.
Why? Because those teams focus on scoring more goals rather than grinding it out on the ground.
Brandon Castillo4~ said:What does Milan have to do with this? Anyway, you need to pick a side: do you actually LIKE defensive football, or do you NOT? Or are you just trash-talking Liverpool because "nobody else is," while praising Milan just because "everyone else is hating on them"?
It's a total clash of perspectives. You're basically fighting with yourself here because you aren't even presenting an actual opinion—you're just trying desperately to be against the consensus. Total inferiority complex...🙄
To have an inferiority complex, you actually have to be lacking something first. I don't see what I'd be lacking in this scenario. 😕 🙄
I don't like defensive play. In fact, I love pure attacking football; I’d play with a back three any day. Teams like Milan, FC Barcelona, Chelsea FC, or Manchester United play offensively—they aim for more goals. Even Real Madrid goes overboard with it sometimes. Liverpool plays exclusively for defense, brute strength, and crowd pressure. They don't have a single creative playmaker, and there's no way to like a squad like that. At least Juventus FC had Zlatan Ibrahimović, Alessandro Del Piero, or Pavel Nedvěd to guarantee a moment of magic, but Liverpool has nothing. That’s why it’s absolute nonsense that while teams like Arsenal FC, Chelsea FC, and Manchester United are better (and more successful over long stretches), Liverpool keeps making finals despite playing terrible matches. If they actually played brilliantly, I wouldn't have anything to complain about, but this is just a disaster.
Brandon Turner2 said:I’m telling you again, the defender's left leg is right on the goal line and his right foot is about 15 inches inside the net.
You can't see the ball behind his body, but the legs are clear as day.
1. It isn't "on the line" unless your definition of "on the line" includes whatever distance you feel like making up on the spot (anywhere from zero to four feet, I guess 🙄 )
2. Fifteen inches? If you asked a flight attendant, they'd tell you it's basically a mile.
3. There’s an animation right above this, everything is visible... honestly, why am I even wasting my breath here?
Brandon Castillo4~ said:I don't think any replay can actually prove if it went in or not. Gallas is literally blocking the view of the ball with his body. Unless you've got X-ray vision or some kind of superpowers, you're stuck.
I have eyes. Two of them.
Yeah 🙄
Liverpool FC didn't even score a single goal, and they barely scraped by Milan with a 3-0 win. Honestly, I’ve never seen a worse finalist than Liverpool FC this year. Never. They haven't created a decent scoring chance in their last three games, yet here they are in the final.

Did the refs maybe pull some shady moves against Poland, the USA, or Portugal, and even Italy? That game against Spain was a total mess, but it doesn't change the fact that nobody at this World Cup ran more than the Koreans did. Every single one of their opponents felt it. Guus Hiddink is a top-tier coach, and he proved it once again this year.

The guy's a total legend, though. Scoring five goals in five different World Cups across four continents? That’s basically saying he’s seen it all. 🙂
He only failed to make it out of the group stage against China because they dumped the Brazilians into his bracket. If that hadn't happened, he would've cruised right through. 😁
