What's the deal? The guy just spends all four episodes repeating "I'm too old for this shit!" like a broken record. Honestly, who wouldn't want that? 😁
Violent action movies that actually have a sense of humor. Check out Snatch, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Pulp Fiction, or something featuring a deadly weapon. 😁
So, I watched it on DVD and it’s alright. Obviously, stuffing your face with whatever for 30 days straight is going to leave an impact, but the facts are right there, and they’re clearly tied to McDonald's, Burger King, Wendy's, and the rest of those fast-food chains. People in the USA are overweight, and junk food is a huge part of why. Honestly, though, junk food combined with a sedentary lifestyle is much worse. Look, I hit up McDonald's at least once a month, and I eat plenty of hot dogs, kebabs, and tons of fries, but I’m thin. There’s a limit for everything, but in America, people have gone way past it. XXL portions? Those are only meant for elephants.
Bill Paxton shows up for maybe five seconds in another one of Schwarzenegger's classics, Commando (pretty sure it's airing on FOX again next week). He just plays some Navy officer who tells the commander, "We lost 'em, sir!".
The original Predator is easily my favorite sci-fi movie about aliens, period. I’m pretty sure I already called it my number one pick in that other thread about the best sci-fi films ever made. As for the sequel, Bill Paxton's performance is the absolute highlight—he was just born to play that role.😁
It's a solid movie. It isn't some impossible sci-fi epic, just a slightly stretched-out hypnosis thriller. There is absolutely no reason to trash this. Any film that tells a story like this WITHOUT dragging aliens into it is actually pretty good.
It tanked because they didn't get distribution in enough places. You can pick up a magazine at any gas station or grocery store, but this stuff was stuck. Those 2,500 people were just a tiny niche group that actually bothered to go find a better newsstand. 😁
Caught a sneak peek last night. It’s got this dark, gritty vibe that feels really promising. You can always count on Steven Spielberg and Tom Cruise to deliver something solid (laugh all you want, but it’s the truth). 😁
Melancholy Beaver said:it's probably because you're ugly, I don't think they're the problem here.🙄
otherwise my vote goes to Spider Ma too 👍
That place is a joke. Honestly, half the corner stores in any US suburb have better selection than them. And yeah, let's not forget they're also the most expensive.😁
Spider-Man is easily the worst streaming service out there. You have to pay a monthly subscription—I mean, who even does that anymore?—and the customer service staff are incredibly cold and rude.
Theaters need to start finding ways to scrape together some small, steady profits. I remember back when I was in elementary school, they used to take our whole class to the movies every once in a while. Tickets were half the price, sure, but the theater definitely walked away with a decent chunk of change. Small initiatives like that could help get older crowds back into the habit of actually showing up at the cinema.
I think Juventus FC is going to take this one. I heard David Trezeguet is finally back in the lineup—though hey, maybe I've got that wrong—and they’ve had a full week off to prep. Plus, they always seem to play their best when they're in Chicago. Either way, aside from Real Madrid vs Barcelona, this is easily the biggest domestic clash of the year.
Because those two photos aren't even from the exact same split second. In the photo on the right, William Gallas has already jumped into the net, which is why his leg—which is already mid-air instead of planted on the ground—is closer to the line. It’s just a matter of hundredths of a second. And if the goal were actually legit, you'd see it instantly on any standard video replay.
Brandon Castillo4~ said:Even if it wasn't a goal—though looking at the photo, that’s pretty unlikely—we have to remember that Chelsea would've been playing with ten men and without Petr Čech for 92 minutes. They wouldn't have even been able to defend because there's a massive chance Liverpool would've just scored a penalty. If that happened, I bet it ends 3-0 or 4-0 for the home side, and we wouldn't be having this pathetic debate right now.
Look, that's exactly the point. If the ref calls a foul instead of letting a non-existent goal slide, the whole game changes. Maybe Liverpool wins 5-0, maybe Chelsea holds on until the whistle. Saying "it doesn't matter if he called the goal or the penalty" can only come from an idiot or someone who has never watched a single game in their life. That ref screwed me over too, damn him, because I missed my parlay for $100 just because I picked "Liverpool vs Chelsea, red cards will be shown." If he'd called it, I'd be winning, but I can't stand these morons acting like "it's all the same." It isn't.
Morgan Wright said:I don't buy that Chelsea is going to go crying about overturning results. They’re already looking toward next season. Meanwhile, Liverpool needs to realize they just got lucky. That's all there is to it.
Who even is talking about overturning results? That’s never happened and it isn't going to happen.
So, the call finally came in today—it wasn't a goal. We've got ourselves a finalist who hasn't found the back of the net in three straight games. Fantastic. 🙄
