What are your thoughts on Natasha Kampusch? in Psychology ·
cosmicridge5 said:Is it, though?

What about the psychiatrists?

Or maybe they don't think she's "weird," and it's just us regular folks who think Natascha is "abnormal compared to how we expect abnormal people to act"? We've all seen enough movies to think someone in her shoes should be a total wreck, barely able to string a sentence together...

To me, it feels like not a single psychologist—not even the big names out there—has pointed out this "abnormality compared to expected abnormality." It’s just regular people making that call. 😁

How can you say that?

I actually just picked some up to see if they were any good. They’re just your standard, run-of-the-mill pads. My doctor told me that if I want those high-end, pure cotton ones, I have to go find them in Canada, and man, they are way more expensive.

Honestly, thinking about those old-school cotton ball pads just makes my skin crawl. I can't stand the feeling of plain cotton. 🙄

Look, I don't mind cotton, as long as it doesn't feel like it's absorbing everything I've got.
As for Libresse? Please. Those things aren't pads, they're basically heavy-duty diapers. 😁😍

My OB-GYN mentioned some brands from Canada (maybe Virginia???) that are made from pure cotton, but she said they're impossible to find around here.
Next time I'm driving through Canada, I'll keep an eye out.

No way, those are just our cheap local pads—basically just made of basic cotton batting, which is technically "natural" but whatever.
They're fine, I guess, if you aren't dealing with a heavy flow.

Ugh, yeah, those are hands down the absolute worst pads on the market.

Just grab some Always or Libresse. Seriously, they're a lifesaver.

I don't think it was even about their egos being bruised. It was more that they saw Teena as some kind of monster. But still...😕

I wouldn't say that.
Then why did they rape her?
They just wanted to humiliate her in every way possible and then wipe out any trace of their crime and her very existence, because just by being alive, she was a threat to them.
That's how they saw it.
Why did they kill her in the first place?
You don't kill monsters. You kill the thing that threatens you.

I find it pretty wild how this guy, once he finally kills her, keeps firing shots and even goes out of his way to stab her with a knife.
It’s like she was such a threat to his masculinity being a lesbian.
Just fascinating stuff.
Dealing with bad cramps? in Women's Health ·
I don't know, but it feels to me like you're dealing with some deep-seated psychological stuff there.
For me, though? Honestly, nothing works except a Voltaren patch to kill the cramps and stop the bleeding.

William Watson7 said:It’s not some joke.
It really happened. Everything looked totally fine during my doctor's exams, but there was this one specific spot where capillaries were constantly bursting. I don't even know how many times I've dealt with it—it was just constant. We couldn't figure out what was causing it until we realized the one thing I use religiously—like, I go through a whole box every few months, and I've been doing this for years—was those Voltaren suppositories. Once I finally quit using them and switched to herbal tea oil inserts to try and help those capillaries heal, plus we took a break from sex altogether, everything was fine.

But last month, I used HALF A VOLTAREN SUPPOSITORY because I didn't have my regular meds handy--> and right after my period, I bled during sex.
I should mention, the bleeding always only happens during intercourse. Probably just friction hitting those weakened capillaries.

Look, I believe you, I really do, but those suppositories have nothing to do with vaginal capillaries.
You're bleeding because of dryness or maybe a little scratch, man, not because you're putting pills in your butt.

William Watson7 said:I’ve been dealing with brutal period cramps since I was 14—so yeah, 12 years of this hell every single month. Anyway, since Voltaren is pretty heavy-duty, I decided to switch over to the adult Voltaren suppositories. They worked wonders, honestly. I was taking three a day because the pain was just unbearable, but then I started having these bleeding issues.
I have absolutely no clue how, but even though you use the suppositories rectally, my vaginal capillaries just weakened, and even the slightest friction would cause bleeding.😲 😲Having sex with my husband became impossible. It took us an entire year just to figure out what was actually happening.

I really hope this is some kind of sick joke.
I’m calling on a professional here (Jose Miller3) to tell me if it's even biologically possible for vaginal capillaries to weaken from using Voltaren.🙄

gentlewolf292 said:The pain is this sharp, stabbing sensation, like someone is literally slicing through me from my tailbone down to my pelvic bone and ovaries (though it’s not always the same spot). These intense stabs can hit once or twice for a few seconds, multiple times a day—which is basically my daily routine now. But during the bad weeks, these episodes turn into hours-long attacks that last for days on end. One thing I know for sure is that it gets way worse during my period; the pain hits harder and lasts much longer than when I'm between cycles. Honestly, it hurts so bad that I can't even walk or move at all sometimes. I just end up curled up, seizing from the pain.

Personally, I’m leaning towards the idea that something is pressing against a nerve, and that’s what’s causing the agony.
It’s probably a cyst that’s just sitting in a really awkward spot, or maybe you’ve got some other benign growths. Everything should show up clearly on an ultrasound, so if I were you, I’d get one scheduled ASAP.

Robin Richardson said:Those things got me too while I was pulling some kid out of the water, even though I was already pretty close to the shore.
Man, my arm was absolutely wrecked. It left these three nasty welts on me. Within half an hour, everything started swelling up, and by evening, it felt like my skin was being roasted alive. While everyone else was trying to convince me that these burns stick around for years, I was busy telling myself that since I got stung by jellyfish when I was a kid, my body had already built up antibodies and this would clear up fast. Total wishful thinking, right?
But then, out of nowhere, the stinging just stopped. Now, a month later, the scar is actually fading away day by day.

You can grab some Aloe Vera cream at the drugstore—it’s only about two bucks.
I mean, honestly, there’s a massive selection of those creams out there.

You probably just irritated the wound with your shoes or some tight clothes.

Honestly, I had the same thing happen when a jellyfish stung me the other day. 😍
It hurt like hell 🙄 but I just slapped some coconut oil on it—since I didn't have anything else on me—and it calmed down pretty fast.

Look, there are a few different reasons why this kind of pain happens.
If we rule out infections—we make sure to hit up our gynecologist regularly—and if it’s not a tilted uterus, fibroids, or cysts,
then most of the time, it's just straight-up cramping.
You can manage part of the issue through your diet during PMS (I'm talking a mix of calcium and magnesium, B vitamins, cutting back on salt, and using natural diuretics).
Cramps can also be eased with natural stuff, like various teas—chamomile, mint, whatever—or even massage. And obviously, staying active with sports really helps. Oh, and sex helps too.
But honestly? After trying everything under the sun, the only thing that actually works for me is Voltaren tablets (the adult ones) 🙏 🙏 🙏, which I take at the very first sign of a cramp.
Not only do they kill the pain, but they help regulate the cramps and significantly calm things down, making the bleeding shorter and less intense.

"Emotional" definitely isn't the right word.😁

Tichy said:Look, I’m no expert, but my gut tells me the people most at risk are the ones who can't keep their emotions in check.

:

Yeah, exactly. And honestly? That deep, spontaneous realization of how everything actually connects and works can drive you straight into this painful, depressing state of resignation where you just... give up on trying to be proactive about anything.
Plus, once you realize you can do things faster and better than basically everyone else with half the effort, it opens the door to this incredibly toxic laziness and boredom. And we all know how dangerous boredom can be.😁
