uh... well, maybe that works for you. personally, I'm not feeling it.
We’ve only got 4 days left to snag those tickets at $83. It's weird, though—Serj's official site doesn't even mention a show in Los Angeles. 😕
I’d love to see Klaxons and The Kooks join the lineup. 😢

Saw IV

cosmicraven2 said:I’m not sure if anyone else caught this subtle detail in Saw IV : Donnie Wahlberg, given his history with New Kids on the Block on the Block, but throughout the entire movie, he spends most of his screen time standing on an ice block. I can only assume it’s a little jab at his past 🤣 🤣

anyway, is he Mark's brother or what?
Yeah.

I’d actually suggest switching over to tea. At least you get a massive variety of flavors to play around with. 👍

Saw IV
in Movies ·
Just finished watching Saw IV today, and now I feel like I absolutely have to marathon through 5 and 6 next.
I thought the movie was great. It’s fun, it’s bloody, and it’s just a solid, pure horror flick. 😁
Honestly, I’m starting to think this might actually become the best horror franchise out there.
😁
It’s kind of funny, though—every single time I sit down to watch any Saw movie, I end up having this little existential crisis where I wonder if I’m actually a good person or if I’m just wasting my life away. 😂
So, naturally, I head straight to the forum. 🤣

Hot Fuzz (2007)

Justin Bailey4 said:It wasn't anything special for me. By the end, it felt way too over-the-top, just packed with too many cheesy tropes for my taste. I think they messed up the editing; it would have hit much harder if it were trimmed down by maybe thirty minutes. And honestly, it doesn't deserve a spot in the IMDb Top 250—anyone can vote on that site, after all.
Shaun of the Dead is better.
Oh, really? I had no idea.
👍
I actually take that as a win. It means people recognized it as a genuinely great comedy. 😁

🙄 🙄
Like I mentioned before, they're actually going into production.
It isn't just some major American studio
working on it, but also Japanese creators.

That’s honestly the one horror movie I watched once and decided never to touch again.
I didn't get any decent sleep for about six months straight after that. Just completely spooked.
Usually, I'm pretty unfazed by horror movies, though. It was just this one.
By the way, have you guys heard if they're filming The Grudge 3? 🙄

I’d probably tell you that you have way too much spare cash, far too much free time, and a serious case of collector's obsession. 😁
Of course. 😬
I honestly have no clue what I’d even do with 800 DVDs. I wouldn't even know where to put them all. 😁

My collection of about 150 DVDs suddenly feels pretty small by comparison.
Me too!!!

I mean, I think Hot Fuzz is great, but honestly, how could anyone argue it’s better than Shaun of the Dead?

Orlando Bloom

I honestly had no clue that Orlando Bloom was actually in that movie. For some reason, I was under the impression he was starring in Kingdom of Heaven instead. 🙄 🙄
To be honest, I think Orlando Bloom is a pretty mediocre actor. If you look back at Kingdom of Heaven, Norton—who’s wearing that mask for half the movie, if I remember correctly—actually manages to convey way more emotion through his facial expressions than Bloom does. Just think about it.

Good grief! If I were a moderator, I’d have banned you on the spot for making such nonsensical claims!

Just because some critics panned it doesn't mean it isn't worth watching personally.
But anyway, getting back to the point, the movie is great. The core concepts they used are just brilliant.
Simon Pegg is quickly becoming my favorite actor.
And yeah, it’s a parody. It’s not just poking fun at specific tropes, but it takes aim at action movies as a whole—and it does it damn well. 😁
The plot itself has to be a bit ridiculous, which is exactly what you expect from a legit action flick anyway. 😬
If someone doesn't get that, then I really don't know what to tell them... 🙄
At the end of the day, just because someone didn't enjoy the movie isn't an excuse to start a fight.

To them, a masterpiece is defined solely by how attractive the cast is.
I recall one "critic" (likely the only one left on Earth) in an American paper who trashed "The Godfather" while giving a perfect score to some melodrama starring Di Caprio 🤣
🤮

Sure, and men watched Transformers just for the deep, complex plot. 🙄
Just a general thought:
