I wasn't even expecting much, honestly. I just downloaded it because Adam Sandler was in it, so I figured I’d give it a shot and see what the deal was. I actually sat through it twice, but yeah... just isn't really my kind of movie.
Amanda Foster23 said:I can't believe I'm actually the first one here commenting on this movie😲 I have to admit, I walked into the theater feeling pretty skeptical. I've never really been a huge fan of Cameron Diaz, and don't even get me started on Ashton Kutcher. But man, this thing caught me totally off guard... I was dying laughing (especially during the first half 🤣). I seriously didn't expect it to be this good or this fun! Don't go expecting something like Woody Allen or anything highbrow, but if you just want to zone out and have a good laugh, this is exactly what you need.👍
Exactly my point.👍
I mean, I can't really picture Cameron Diaz being my type, but whatever, I went anyway because there wasn't much else playing at the theater, and hey, what haven't we seen already? 😁 It actually surprised me, though. It wasn't that typical Hollywood garbage you usually deal with. I actually liked it, I guess.👍
I mean, I guess I believed it... I was thinking maybe just the two or three of us could jump in for some quick cash... but honestly, looking at the big picture now, I’d much rather just stick with Vanguard when the time eventually comes and I have to make those career moves.
It’s not even about landing a job, really. It’s more like I’m working for someone else to scout people for the AZ fund. You know how it goes—it's like a pyramid scheme; he gets a cut when he brings someone in, I get a cut, then there's some other guy under me getting a slice... you get the picture? But now, different firms like Vanguard are looking for their own "agents" to bring in clients... so honestly, I have no clue if being in an AZ fund is even worth the headache.
Anyway, I had a question about exit fees. Let's say I have $0.00 sitting in my account, I switch funds, and then I get my first paycheck of $667 (hypothetically, obviously)... will they just snatch the fee right out of that, or how does that work?
Digging this thread up from the grave... so, I showed up for work yesterday like a total sucker, only to find out I actually have to pick people to put money into my AZ mandatory pension fund. But honestly, looking at everything you guys have been saying here, it doesn't seem like much of a winning move, especially since you can just opt for something better like JPMorgan Chase or Wells Fargo instead... I guess the real question is, is it smarter to just grab a Vanguard fund now and see where things land in three years—even though I'm currently unemployed—or should I just wait until I actually land a real job and then figure out which Vanguard fund is leading the pack?
prezakon is happening and there is zero chance I’m missing out, but I'm wondering if anyone else is heading to Martha's Vineyard?! Dammit, I really don't want to go by myself 😁

Could be. I mean, I get itchy if I use plain old soap or something harsh. Does it turn red after you scratch at it, like, once a few hours have passed?
So, I just finished this movie and honestly, I'm kind of obsessed. Since I couldn't find a single thread about it anywhere, I figured I'd just start one myself. It’s about this brilliant college kid who basically uses his wits to hustle enough cash to scrape by at Howard... and yeah, you probably recognize the face—Kevin Spacey plays his professor. Anyway, what did you guys think? 👍
I mean, Shrek is just way better in my book. Monsters, Inc. feels like something made more for kids, whereas Shrek is basically for everyone, regardless of age.🙂
Honestly, I was totally blown away by this one. Like I’ve mentioned before, I have a massive soft spot for anything starring Tom Hanks, so I had high hopes—and they were met! The plot, the concept, the whole vibe... it just works. If you haven't seen it yet, you should probably get on it. Maybe.
I’m with you on this one—the movie was pretty terrible. I don't know, I feel like Sandler has just totally lost his edge lately. Like, he actually has some genuinely great stuff under his belt, but then he turns around and makes something that’s just mindless garbage...
Maybe I'm just old-fashioned or whatever, but if I only had six months left to live, I’d definitely spend every second of it with my family and my inner circle... honestly, I'd probably just tackle The Bucket List with them by my side anyway.
