What's wrong with my PMs? in Forum Help! ·
Anonymous said:I get what you’re saying, but I don't see that option under my tools menu at all 🤷

See?
Is there any other way to go about this?

Try heading over to Tools > Options > Privacy and see if it's tucked away in there.

Just make sure to check everything except for your passwords.

Do you happen to have Google Chrome installed? 😕

Well, if you look up at the top menu bar—you know, where you'll find "File," "Edit," and all that other standard junk—you'll see "Tools" right there, and that’s where you can find the option to clear browsing data

I’ve run into this exact headache myself with certain PDF files—it's one of those weird little glitches that just pops up out of nowhere. My best bet was to go into the settings and clear my browsing data—it's probably just some stray cookies acting up, but I figured I might as well wipe the slate clean and clear everything 🤷—and honestly, it did the trick 🤷
Polls & Surveys in Forum Help! ·
If you head over to the poll, you'll see the results laid out right there—basically just a breakdown of how many people voted for each option. The count itself is formatted as a link; all you have to do is click it.

A public poll actually means you can see exactly how everyone voted.

If you take a look at the number of people who voted for a specific option—and yes, it looks just like a hyperlink—well, go ahead and just click it. 😉

I have a nagging suspicion that I’ve managed to outsmart both of you. 🙂

I suppose I should probably weigh in here—it’s becoming increasingly difficult to remain a silent observer while the conversation drifts so far from the actual point. It’s much like watching a slow-motion collision on the I-95; you know exactly what’s coming, yet everyone seems preoccupied with discussing the color of the bumper rather than the physics of the impact itself. There’s a certain... let’s call it "intellectual inertia" at play here. We tend to settle into these comfortable grooves of thought, repeating the same tired observations as if they were profound revelations, when in reality, we're just circling the drain of a very shallow argument. It reminds me of those old town hall meetings in small-town Ohio—plenty of shouting, very little listening, and a collective refusal to acknowledge that the bridge is actually out ahead. Anyway, my apologies for the detour. I realize I have a tendency to wander off into the weeds—much like a gardener who forgets he's supposed to be mowing the lawn and starts contemplating the soil pH instead—but I find it hard to ignore the underlying absurdity of our current trajectory. Let's try to get back to the matter at hand, shall we? Or at least, let's try to make the detour somewhat productive. kaže:
Look, here’s the crux of the issue—when you land on the forum's homepage, there’s that little greeting in the top right corner that says, "Hi, [username]." The problem is, that nickname isn't actually a clickable link to your profile, and there isn't an option to view all your posts either. It’s just sitting there—static, unhelpful, and frankly, a bit of a dead end.
What an absolute oversight—really, a glaring lapse in judgment if I ever saw one. I’m honestly sitting here wondering how this was allowed to slip through the cracks. I’ll go ahead and politely, yet firmly, request that the relevant authorities actually step up and address this issue before things get any more ridiculous. It shouldn't be this difficult to get someone to take action.

To get to your profile settings, you just have to click on "Options"—it’s tucked right there, just a little bit to the left of where it says "Hey, [username]."

Or, if you want to take a different route—and I always find there’s more than one way to skin a cat, really—you can just click on your own username on any of your previous posts. From there, you just select "view user profile." It's a bit of a roundabout way to get where you're going, but sometimes the scenic route is the only one that actually works.

It seems you can only see the last 300 posts—which, honestly, feels like trying to watch a feature film through a keyhole. It’s a bit limiting, isn't it? You get a snapshot, sure, but you miss all that lovely context and the slow build-up that actually makes sense of the conversation. It’s like reading the final chapter of a novel and being expected to understand why everyone is suddenly weeping—you just don't have the groundwork.
How do I change my username back to my old one? in Forum Help! ·
I mean, if you could just go ahead and ask an admin for whatever you wanted, then anyone could just stroll up and snatch someone else's username whenever they felt like it. 🤷

It’s been quite a few months since I decided to go ahead and change the title of my thread...

I honestly can't tell if anything has actually changed since then

give me a break, man... ☕

it’s always the same old story 😁
What do you mean, Google? 😕

Just clear your cookies and give it another shot.
Just go ahead and set up another account 🤷 since the admins can just manually approve the registration anyway 🤔

I didn't even run into that issue when I was setting up a dummy profile once 😬

cosmicowl732 said:Look, I’m just going to say it—discrimination exists, and honestly, maybe it should. When I run into someone who can’t even string a coherent sentence together—and they're clearly just some kid, too—why on earth should I take them seriously? The absolute bare minimum anyone can do is actually put in the effort to write with proper grammar... ☕

It’s not even about the rules—it’s just that when someone realizes they've lost an argument and lacks any actual points to make, they pivot to being a pedant. They’ll derail the whole discussion by pulling the "learn how to spell correctly" card just to feel superior. ☕

I had someone pull that exact stunt on me once—just because I had one single typo in a post. Now, out of pure spite, I always write c ☕

Then there’s the whole issue of grammatical discrimination. It’s the oldest trick in the book—when someone realizes they can't actually counter your point or build a real argument, they suddenly pivot to nitpicking where you put a comma or whether you used a semicolon correctly instead of ☕
.
Honestly, it’s a bit pathetic. And besides, looking at half the Reddit users on this site, I don't even have a clue how old they actually are 🤷

You’re likely staring at some kind of database error—maybe a 504 or a 503, or something along those lines 🤷—but the long and short of it is this: you’d better get used to the fact that this forum is basically a sinking ship 😉

That’s exactly why some folks only care about the technical side of things—they have zero interest or motivation to actually engage in the community part of it.☕

Just so we’re all clear on the hierarchy—if you see someone with a multi-colored username, those are the Admins; red indicates a supermod, and black means they're regular moderators...

And yeah, if they’re actually pulling duty, their name has to show up in that specific color accordingly.☕
