I was reading some stuff online that suggests if your period doesn't show up within two weeks of having sex during your fertile window, that's the first sign of pregnancy. Is there actually any truth to that? It sounds a bit too much like a miracle to me... and please, just don't start throwing criticisms my way again...
The luteal phase can sometimes stretch beyond two weeks without there being a pregnancy. Also, while a missed period is a symptom, it’s certainly not the only one.
It could just be stress. Or maybe ovulation happened a little later than usual, which shifts everything else back. Your hormones might just be acting up. Or maybe...
If you take this personally, I’d suggest staying out of the discussions on this forum altogether. 🙂

Just 13 days, yeah.
Of course it could show a false negative. But there's a very good chance it'll be accurate.
I have actually seen positive tests done just 10 or 11 days after ovulation.
And it’s actually perfect for testing if you're already spiraling.
Just take a breather, head over to a CVS, and grab a test so you can stop guessing. I remember how nerve-wracking the uncertainty was for me, which is why I just bit the bullet and tested whenever I had a hunch. Honestly, whether it was positive or negative, anything was better than just sitting there wondering.
Linda Rodriguez38 said:If it’s only been 13 days since that risky encounter, isn't it a little early for a test? Results might be a dud at this stage. Maybe hang tight for a few more days to see what happens, or just hit up an OB-GYN if you're losing sleep over it... But seriously, try not to stress too much. /I know, easier said than done/
No, it isn't too early, considering the luteal phase usually lasts about 14 days (anywhere from 10 to 16 is pretty standard) and she was actually due for her period yesterday or the day before.
Edit: You don't need to be mature enough to be a parent to have sex, but you do need enough maturity to understand this: a) prevention, b) how to find out, c) what to do if it happens (and no, I don't just mean abortion; you can choose to give birth, but you have to be capable of making that call).
Did you know that stress can also impact your cycle?
Don't sweat it too much. If you think you might be pregnant, just take a test. If you don't (and I'm leaning towards you aren't), just wait for it to happen. Mine was five days late once and I wasn't pregnant at all.
Please don't do that again. I've already had to delete three of your posts.
Just so you know, that clear or whitish discharge usually shows up a few days before ovulation. And honestly, pregnancy can happen even without full intercourse due to pre-ejaculate.
So, yeah, it's possible. Though I wouldn't bet on it. Have you thought about just taking a test?
You can see your badges when you click on your profile. There’s no way to figure out who listed you as a "referral" unless they tell you themselves. If you list someone as a "referral" during registration, it just means they invited you to the forum.

You have to crop the image to a 1:1 aspect ratio first, then you can scale it down to exactly 50x50. Otherwise, it just scales proportionally to whatever shape it already is.
Threads aren't locked just because a user wants them to be. They aren't deleted either. As far as I can tell, that’s happened maybe a handful of times—it’s incredibly rare. Look, once you start a thread, you're essentially inviting people to share their thoughts, even if you don't particularly care for what they have to say. A discussion stays active as long as there's a debate happening, and then it eventually fades away (unless the moderators decide to lock it for some reason they deem necessary, not you).
Where would this forum even be if every single person demanded their posts be wiped or closed the moment they got an answer they didn't like—or realized they shouldn't have shared something sensitive, like how they accidentally insulted their secretary yesterday and were worried their wife might see it? Like one of our admins says: "Think before you speak."
If you're worried that posting something will come back to haunt you, then don't post it. If you aren't prepared to hear different perspectives, then don't ask the question. Unfortunately, there isn't really any other way around it.
