Don't go activating anything just yet—just hit remount instead. These loaders are crashing on a daily basis, so I'd say maybe wait a couple of weeks before you try anything.
Unless, of course, you're really losing sleep over not seeing "Windows is activated" on your screen.
Version 1.4 of the loader is already out, and they just dropped 1.3 like three days ago or something... so yeah, I'm definitely skipping the installation for now.
I think I'll just hold out until October 22nd when the new builds actually hit the retail stores. That's probably when the real deal comes out—once those OEM machines with the official keys start showing up. And who knows, maybe I can snag a decent version through the FBI if I get lucky. 😍

Just finished installing the RTM
Does anyone have any idea why my driver installation went totally fine on the RC skystar2 version, but now I'm just getting hit with a BSOD?

Man, I'm pretty sure RTM is already out there—it’s basically a done deal.
We just need to wait for a reliable activation method, kind of like what we saw with Windows Vista, to pop up. 😬
But if you think about it, how many times can you actually rearm? Maybe three times? If I'm not mistaken, that would give us about 120 days, right?
Hopefully, some successful activation tricks will show up before then hits.

But honestly, once those 6 reams pass, that's when the real deal will show up.
You know what, I think I'll just wait another week or two until things really clear up.

From what I can gather, everyone's just waiting on the MSDN folks to get their hands on the Windows 7 downloads and finally release those official RTM keys.
Only once they have those actual keys will the crackers be able to put together a working version.

Does anyone actually know what an XP to Windows 7 upgrade costs?
I can find price lists online for upgrading from Vista to 7, but I can't find anything specific for moving from XP to Windows 7 anywhere...
