I mean, calling it "dermatitis" is such a vague way to put it—it could honestly be anything from seborrheic issues to perioral stuff, or who knows... you really ought to go see a dermatologist as soon as you can.
So, when can I actually move my insurance coverage from one dentist to another? Is that thing strictly limited to December, or am I free to switch whenever I want during the year?
Sean Hayes11 said:Last year I was so incredibly sick—like, none of my doctors could figure out what was wrong—until I finally went to this holistic clinic in Pittsburgh... it’s all natural stuff.
If we actually had something like that here in the States, I wouldn't even hesitate! The problem is, we've still got this massive wave of snake oil salesmen running around—all these "gurus" and herbalists trying to sell you absolute garbage as if it's some miracle cure...
I've tried pretty much everything available over here—herbal remedies, homeopathy, acupuncture, you name it.
Honestly, the only thing that actually seemed to move the needle was acupuncture, and that was because the guy treating me was an actual MD—trained right here at home before specializing in acupuncture abroad.
All those other charlatans? They just emptied my wallet... and the worst part wasn't even the money, it was the false hope they peddled for absolutely nothing.
In my opinion, traditional medicine is still basically 👍
If there's any way you can avoid hormones altogether, I'd highly recommend going that route. Honestly, if I’d known then what I know now, I would’ve saved myself a massive headache... There are actually so many different contraceptive options out there these days, too.
I was on Yasmin when Yasmin 1.5 years old was my age—well, back when I was taking it—and man, it was rough... I felt terrible, and the skin issues just wouldn't budge. I switched over to Diane about 8 months ago. My mood has been way more stable, which is huge, but as for my skin—honestly, who knows? I ended up on Accutane, and that’s really what did the heavy lifting for my complexion.
I’m really hoping I can get off these hormones soon without everything falling apart again... fingers crossed.
If only I’d never even started them in the first place.
Honestly, I'm feeling the exact same way. I don't even know what to tell you guys—I haven't stumbled onto any kind of fix or solution yet... if anyone actually has some solid advice, please, let me know.
You could probably just head to a plastic surgeon to have them handled—usually, they just scoop out those fatty deposits under the eyes and then tighten up the skin in that area. The only thing is, you look pretty young to me, so I’m honestly not even sure if that's a viable route for you yet...
so this is actually based out of Austria, but the site is in English, and from what I can tell, that lady over there—you know, our local expert who handles everything—is running the show.
The prices are pretty steep, though if you play your cards right under certain conditions, about 70% of the costs end up covered...
Is that place still running? I had no clue. Where are they based now, and who’s actually calling the shots there? (I know Shimunic used to be the big boss)...
So, what’s the actual diagnosis you've been given?
Honestly, my best advice is to go hunt down a really solid doctor—I mean, if you have to pay out of pocket for a private specialist to get real answers, just do it.
From what you're describing, it sounds like something that falls under dermatology... maybe even some skin-specific stuff.
Honestly, I didn't see much point in trying Persen—and don't even get me started on Activon, I haven't touched the stuff because it feels like it’s all just the same crap anyway... I'd much rather just take some magnesium and call it a day.
What's actually causing the reaction on your hands? Is it jewelry or something?
A long time ago, I had this massive breakout on my wrist from wearing a watch, but it turned out to be an allergic reaction to some antibiotic cream I was using—I tossed the watch straight into the trash immediately after realizing... I even did an allergy test once, and yeah, the reaction was pretty intense too. If you want my two cents, just stay far away from nickel: jewelry, watches, those belt buckles with nickel components, all that stuff...
Terry Martinez5 said:I honestly don't get why everyone is freaking out over Accutane. I’m starting my course tomorrow and all those horror stories aren't really doing anything to scare me—I mean, doctors aren't just handing this stuff out like candy if it was actually that dangerous... they wouldn't keep it on the shelves if it was... all those fancy creams, lotions, and whatever else can't touch a serious breakout... I've tried antibiotics and Yasmin... now my dermatologist has me on Accutane along with Yasmin
I'm on the exact same regimen—been at it for four months now. Things started off fine, though my skin never truly cleared up completely, and then about two weeks ago everything just went south again... so now I'm running every test under the sun to figure out what's going on. My OBGYN mentioned that my cycle is totally regular despite being on Yasmin, so maybe that's what triggered the flare-up. The only thing that's got me confused is that the Accutane hasn't really been doing much to help yet...
