Kevin Morgan3 said:Hm... I'm kind of curious to get your take on this... so... it's cycle day 16 for me today, and since yesterday morning my temperature has been hovering around 98.6, 98.9, 99.1... nothing really hurts, but I am just wiped out—like, I'm usually never tired, but since yesterday morning I've felt totally exhausted... honestly, I feel like I could just pass out right here in my office chair at work any second... (plus, I crashed after work yesterday, and then slept straight from 10 PM until morning)... I think ovulation might have happened over the weekend, but I'm not entirely sure... I'm heading in tomorrow to get a full blood panel done just to make sure everything is okay (my mom totally freaked out and rushed to grab me a referral from our doctor)... but what's actually messing with my head is whether I might be pregnant... my husband and I have been trying for about four months now... so, yeah, please let me know what you guys think... personally, I doubt symptoms would be kicking in this early, but who knows... I'd love to hear your thoughts... 😉

So, when exactly are you supposed to get your hands on an M? Is there even a set schedule for this kind of thing, or is it just one of those "whenever it happens" situations? Honestly, it feels like everything takes twice as long as it should these days. You wait, you wonder, you check the clock... and nothing. Just more waiting. Any idea?
Symptoms can start creeping up a few days before your period actually hits. You know the drill—sudden fatigue, feeling dizzy, chest pains, or just having to run to the bathroom constantly. It’s a whole thing.
Thomas Palmer7 said:Just wanted to drop a quick note and say I finally got my M
Man, I am so stoked 🙂

Anyway, thanks everyone for all the help and advice

Well, great... look, just listen to your aunt when she tells you you aren't pregnant... 😁
Elizabeth Chavez33 said:I went in for my scan at 5 weeks and 5 days, and they could see the yolk sac and the gestational sac, but no fetal pole yet...
But by 7 weeks and 6 days, everything was clearly visible, including the Communist Party USA.😍

That was my experience too—I felt some cramping, which usually means something is happening, but you just can't see anything during that second week of pregnancy!!!
Dennis Kim5 said:Just walked out of my OBGYN appointment...
I don't want any sympathy, okay?
The doctor told me I missed my ovulation window—apparently, a cyst grew up to about an inch in size and just didn't rupture like it was supposed to. So now I’m stuck taking hormone pills to jumpstart my period.😁
Long story short... I'm not pregnant. Not that anyone here could have seen anything on an ultrasound anyway, even if I were, right?

Well, great. She said it's something else entirely. Cysts really can mess things up; I've dealt with them plenty of times, often quite large ones, and they cause nothing but trouble....
Now we just cross our fingers and hope my period finally shows up...

And no more finger-pointing!!🤣
lonemarlin81 said:Hey everyone! Just joined the party after spending days lurking and reading through everything... Basically, I'm trying to get pregnant. We timed things perfectly during my fertile window, and now I’m losing my mind waiting. I already wasted money on three pregnancy tests—all negative—but today's test showed this tiny, microscopic little line that's barely even there. My period is supposed to start tomorrow. I'm just praying at this point... either I'm pregnant or I need this period to just show up already 🙂

Welcome to the club....

You tested a little too early, honey; you should have waited until tomorrow....just breathe, nothing is out of whack...everything happens when it's meant to...I know....it's hard...but whatever, that's just how life goes.
Dennis Kim5 said:It’s been about 10 days since my period was supposed to show up...
Does anyone actually know if this ultrasound data is accurate? Anyone here dealt with this before??

Look, if you’re only two weeks pregnant, there's zero chance an ultrasound will pick anything up. It’s too early. The amniotic sac hasn't even formed enough to be visible on a scan yet... we're talking something tiny, like a grain of sand. There's just no way...

So, do you actually want a baby or not?
If you do, just breathe. If it happened, you'll find out soon enough....
If you don't... well, I don't even know what you're playing at then..
You're spiraling way too much over this...
The people working at the post office are just running you in circles!!!

Seriously, can't you guys just look for someone else? If I were there, I’d be asking to speak to the manager immediately—like, why was this fine yesterday but suddenly a problem today?
Just wait until you see how they respond!!

The package arrives $4.75 and it costs next to nothing if the value stays under $27!!! And I don't even think it's heavier than 10 pounds... I once sent a box that was maybe 6 or 7 pounds and it went through at that lower rate without a hitch!!!!

And this whole thing about not being allowed to use shoe boxes? It's a total scam. They just want to force you to buy their overpriced branded boxes from $3.25....😲

I used to send books wrapped in old wallpaper!!!! Yeah, you heard me. I’d wrap them in scraps of leftover wallpaper I found around the house.... taped all the edges tight, tied it up with some twine, and everything arrived perfectly every single time!!!
Thomas Palmer7 said:It’s been about two weeks, but what kind of test should I actually be looking at? Like, a home pregnancy test, a blood draw, or maybe an ultrasound?

I already tried one of those early detection tests, and it came back negative, but I don't know... I'm still feeling super skeptical and paranoid about it.
Should I bother doing another test just to be sure, or am I overthinking this...

I don't see the point... honestly. Why even bother?

And even then, I’m thinking an early T-cell detection is only really possible if you’re looking directly at the bloodwork... barely even catching it before it moves.
Samuel Cox27 said:I’m feeling a bit lost here... I have all those classic symptoms that could point toward pregnancy, so I haven't let myself get too carried away just yet. Everything was going fine until about 7:00 this morning, when I woke up with these intense cramps—exactly like the ones I get right before my period starts (which is due this Saturday, and my cycle is usually clockwork). I headed to the bathroom and noticed some light spotting. But it was literally just tiny dots of blood that disappeared immediately after. Now, the pain is gone and there's no more bleeding at all? ???????

Honestly? You’ll probably just end up getting your period... most of those symptoms don't even really kick in until after you're already late, except for the breast tenderness—which feels identical whether it's PMS or pregnancy—and the constant needing to pee or that weird dry mouth thing. But let's be real, all of that can just be your body prepping for your period anyway.
Megan Ward98 said:girl, thanks, you really cheered me up... I know I probably sound like a total kid, but I honestly just care so much about getting this thing delivered.
thx! 🙂

I'm crossing my fingers it shows up today too!!👍

I've had plenty of times where things just drag on forever, especially if they're moving over a weekend—that's when everything hits the fan. Friday or Saturday? Absolute worst days. You’re better off sticking to Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday if you actually want stuff moved.

Then again, I sent something out on a Saturday headed to Key West, and the damn thing was already there by Monday... clearly, the folks in NYC are just taking a long nap or something...
Thomas Palmer7 said:so here's the deal
The ratio was 17.7
My period started on August 3rd. (It came early, after only 22 days...) but it was super short and didn't really flow much
I took a test and went to see my OB-GYN on August 18th
And now, I'm supposed to be due for my period but it's late (and it’s never late, usually)

I know I had that one period right after we hooked up, but it's bugging me that it was so light and brief... plus, I know a few women who actually had bleeding during their first trimester

Anyway, thanks again a ton

Okay, if I’m doing the math right, you had your period on July 12th, then the encounter was on the 17th. That's only five days after your cycle started. It's possible to conceive then... though yeah, that period on day 22 was definitely weird. But things happen.

And now you're expecting it today?
Since you already had that light bleed, it probably isn't a positive result, but whatever—just wait until tomorrow. If nothing happens by then, grab a test and try it Thursday morning. If you are pregnant, it should show up by then.

If not, maybe it's just a hormonal imbalance. Honestly, so many women have been dealing with similar issues these last couple of months.
Thomas Palmer7 said:Alright, thanks a ton

So that OB-GYN is totally playing unfair... I told her straight up that I had unprotected sex about a month ago (so like, 4 or 5 weeks back), and she just did a pelvic ultrasound, said everything looked fine, and then turned around and prescribed me birth control...
She really should've sent me for blood work first

Anyway, thanks again

Look, if you don't mind, just go ahead and write down those dates for me.

Last period date, when I last had sex, and when the next one is supposed to show up... something just feels off. Something isn't sitting right with me.
William Jones30 said:I’m with you on that. We can be pretty awful sometimes—look, minorities can be difficult—but if we act like this, everyone else starts thinking the whole group is just as bad.

That bolded part? Honestly, that’s some of the worst advice I’ve ever heard. Don't just show up here crying to the forum after your package gets smashed, lost, or damaged when you intentionally undervalued it $27, especially when it’s actually worth way more. 🙄

Just seeing the reply now... So, I guess that logic applies to packages valued at up to $27 or maybe around $27... but if the value is significantly higher than that... well, I suppose everyone just decides for themselves how much of a risk they want to take, right?
Thomas Palmer7 said:Hey everyone 🙂

I'm feeling a bit stuck and could really use some advice if anyone's been through this

How long does it actually take for a gynecologist to spot a pregnancy during an exam?
I took a home test and it came back negative... I had an appointment scheduled, so I just mentioned to my doctor that I'd had unprotected sex about a month before the visit... she did an ultrasound and said everything looked totally fine...

But now my period is late and I'm starting to freak out a little...

Thanks

Usually, you won't see anything on an ult until you're around 5 or 6 weeks along.
Basically, your period needs to be about 4 weeks late before an ultrasound can confirm it.

This is what it looks like around week 6.
Dennis Kim5 said:So, here I am...
I’ve already run two different tests—first, one of those cheap ones you grab at CVS for like five bucks... negative.
Then I went out and got an Intim Plus test just to be sure... also negative.
Hmm... I'm trying to stay calm, but honestly, I'm still just sitting here waiting. 🙄
My period hasn't shown up in about 40 days now. 🙄
And since I was taking those hormone pills to try and regulate things... I can't even tell what my actual cycle looks like anymore.
So... for those of you who have been following this whole mess from the beginning... what do I do now? Do I really just sit around and wait?

If you aren't in pain... just wait... don't freak out over being 10 days late, especially since we cut out the T.😉
driftingseal3 said:It varies wildly from person to person.
🤷

Yeah, for sure... every woman is different... but honestly, most people just say that to sound deep....

PS. I actually noticed your son's name in your signature, and it immediately sent me flying back to '97. Back when I used to call my guy D. (if he’d been a boy, he would've had the same name as yours)... called him that for a few weeks back in Chicago..

(all my guys have names ending in -son)
driftingseal3 said:Let me tell you something: during my pregnancy, I dealt with abdominal pains so intense that it felt like my period was coming every single second until I hit week 16. Therefore, that specific symptom is absolutely not a reliable metric at all.😉

Are you serious? My experience was the exact opposite. If anything hurt, it meant my period was coming. Once I actually got pregnant, if I felt even a tiny twinge or some pressure, I’d immediately worry about a miscarriage... except during my second pregnancy. Then the pains started around month three and just didn't stop until the end. It was mostly groin pain, too. I could barely walk...

But early cramping isn't usually a good sign if you're worried about being pregnant... most of the time, it's just not.
Dennis Kim5 said:Nah, not really...
At least nothing like food cravings or anything like that...
The only thing is I’m getting this sharp ache right in my pelvic area—it feels exactly like my period is about to hit :O

Well, you might just get what's coming to you...😉
Dennis Kim5 said:Well, thanks... everyone keeps telling me the exact same thing—that it’s impossible. And look, I don't even believe it myself, but man, the panic just hit me out of nowhere...😲😲

So, you actually having symptoms? Like, swollen breasts? Any actual pain?
James Cox6 said:By eye contact. You can get pregnant just by looking at someone, so you're definitely pregnant now.😂
Honestly, forget the pregnancy scare—worry about the fingering. Go get tested before he passes you some strep (God forbid it's Group B) or some mycoplasma or bacteria.

That's way more likely than getting pregnant from hand contact.😁

Now she won't be able to sleep a wink tonight... what a trip...🤣

Just take a test... and let us know what happens.👍
Dennis Kim5 said:Honestly, I was kind of hoping someone would just tell me there's no chance...
😁 But since he's saying it isn't 100% certain, I guess we're just left hanging...
It's pretty much decided now, right? Are even pharmacies open tomorrow?
By the way, I have an appointment with my OB-GYN for an ultrasound in about a week... IF this turns out to be happening, will we actually be able to see anything yet???

There are always 24-hour pharmacies around; depends on where you're located, but here in New York City, there's always somewhere open...
But you really ought to grab a test before morning hits...

Are you absolutely sure you're seven days late? Is this the first time it's been this delayed? Any symptoms popping up?

You won't see anything on an ultrasound right now. There’s really no point in going before the sixth week... if you are pregnant, you're probably only about 2 or 3 weeks along at most...
Dennis Kim5 said:Quick question...
I really don't want to sound stupid or anything like that.
Though, let’s be honest—I probably am... I’d say the same thing if anyone else were asking this.
So, last week my boyfriend and I were "playing around" a little bit.
First, he was handling everything manually—I'm not even entirely sure what all went down there—and then he finished by rubbing it against me... so, is it actually possible to transfer sperm through your hands?
I know this sounds totally absurd and maybe it won't even matter in the end, but I'm honestly starting to panic here...🙄🙄
My period is about a week late... though, to be fair, my cycles have never been super regular anyway. 😕😕
Also, does anyone know which pregnancy test from a place like CVS or Walgreens is actually reliable once you've missed your period?

Look... the only way you're getting a real answer is with a test. With a delay this long, any of them should be pretty much 100% accurate.
They've got those $11 tests, like the Clearblue ones... the digital ones... they use strips, but they always worked for me.
Just head to the drugstore, grab one, and test first thing tomorrow morning using your first urine! (Honestly, just grab a cup... it's easiest. Pee in the cup, dip the stick for a minute until it hits that line on the strip)....😉

And let us know how it goes tomorrow!! 😉 We're waiting...☕
