MLS 2022/23 Season: Part 2 in Soccer ·
The only bright spot in this whole game was definitely the fans—honestly, both sides brought some great energy

It’s just such a shame the players didn't seem to catch that vibe at all

Nah, what I meant was that they usually bring those two along for the ride—you know, where Nenek is involved and then there's them...
I mean Nino Bule
The only unlucky one was Rene, who really messed things up for everyone.

boldbadger1 said:My uncle ended up signing with Trabzon—just a decent little gig, really, pulling in about $1.6 million a season 👍

Think back to those early transfers like Leovac and Dilaver. ☕

Ethan Jones5 said:For all we know, the issue might have nothing to do with results. In his interviews, Zekic always comes across as a pro who does his job, but clearly doesn't care for the club's atmosphere or the decisions being made.

A lot of what he says boils down to "I'm doing my best with what I've been given." That’s an easy way to get on the bad side of the higher-ups.

If this is purely about results, it's insane. This was easily the cheapest roster out there—everyone except me thought they'd be relegated from the league.

Well, that's just facts.
Management can love it or hate it, but let's be real—there is no less stimulating environment than this club, and honestly, they have a huge part of the blame for that.

Honestly, when boldbadger1 says something like this, it’s usually the final step before someone gets the boot. 😁
But if they actually fire him, then management is just being stubborn—I mean, we have enough talent to fight our way out of the bottom tier, and besides, Zekic is the one who got us right into the hunt for a European spot and that cup semifinal run.

Hey, buddy!

Finally Spikić
He actually wasn't playing way back in the hinterlands for once—a nice change of pace, right?

I also have to give credit to Perković—that cross he sent in was absolutely spot on.

I’m really crossing my fingers for that second scenario

A little bit of luck finally had to swing back our way—honestly, the Dinamo fans have been waiting on a break like this all spring.

Scott Kern47 said:So, I finally caved and watched Emmanuella last night because it was playing on PBS around 1:00 AM and I just couldn't catch any sleep. It’s been sitting on my "must-watch" list forever, honestly. It’s basically just some softcore erotica and nothing else, really. The lead actress is absolutely stunning, and yeah, all the women in it are gorgeous too, but the plot? There isn't much of one—it's pretty much the same thin storyline you see in every single erotic flick. 5/10

Not sure I'm feeling it enough to dive into the rest of the franchise though. 🕺

I actually saw it for the first time back then too. It had been on my list for ages, but I just never really got around to it until I happened to stumble upon it.
And then, out of nowhere, I find it.
To be honest, I found the plot kind of silly and naive, though the erotic scenes were decent enough.
Jonathan Barnes5 said:But honestly, that response from Nice felt so cringey and patronizing; it wasn't even a direct answer, just a collection of empty platitudes that seemed like they were reading straight from a corporate script.

It reminded me of dealing with a clerk at a local DMV office when you're just trying to get some basic paperwork sorted out.

Well, at least she managed to strip him of his Perma membership.
The moderators who actually should be staying informed are acting like they're clueless—as if none of this actually concerns them.
Robert Palmer said:Scheduling matches at 11, 2, 5, or 8 during the Winter is a recipe for disaster if you actually care about viewership.
Unless, of course, the audience consists entirely of seasonal workers in the summer tourism industry. In any realistic scenario, nobody is going to tune in for those first two slots. Even in major metropolitan hubs across Europe, you’d struggle to pull half the crowd for that third match. You might have noticed that Champions League fixtures rarely land on a Tuesday or Wednesday at 4 or 6 in the afternoon; it’s because even the biggest clubs wouldn't bother playing at those times during the weekend.
It doesn't help that there is something much more visceral about watching a game outdoors, whether you're sitting on a patio at a local pub or gathering in a public square.

I'm with everyone here except for that last part—when the national team is playing, I much prefer staying home so I don't have to deal with those obnoxious, loud-mouthed diehard fans.

The last thing I actually sat down to watch was this French movie—it was about a military officer investigating the suspicious death of his son, who was also in the service
It was a solid crime thriller, but honestly, the title is slipping my mind right now 😁
If anyone else happens to have seen it, let me know

Other than that, nothing really jumped out at me from the recent releases
Why even make this its own thread?

Yeah, Val really is a Sad story—he could have, and honestly should have, given us so much more.
He’s basically my blueprint for what a Hollywood star should look like, you know?
As for Bruce, it’s such a shame too since he isn't even that old yet—though, I guess he did have an incredibly long and successful run.

p.s. Abramovich was poisoned.😲

They claim they have an open marriage, but honestly, it sounds more like Will just has an open wound
Can you imagine being that guy—not even splitting up after she cheats with his own son's buddy, and then actually announcing it to the entire world?
And if you think an open marriage is a lot, this is just next level

Carl Hernandez3 said:I’ve been reflecting lately on the reactions following that tribute concert for Aki.—it was quite something.
It’s honestly slipping my mind—did any of the guys from the Ramones ever actually say anything after Aki passed?
Was there an official statement—or even just a word from one of the band members?
Man, I remember how the Foo Fighters paid their respects to the drummer from the Rolling Stones—that felt real.
Has anyone here been tracking those kinds of reactions between two of America's most legendary rock outfits?

Honestly, that news was chewed up and spit out ages ago—if I recall, we even touched on this over in the off-topic section.
The short version? The Stones never really hit it off with Hus, so it always seemed like they weren't on great terms, even though they were perfectly civil with Aki.
