Yes, yes!!! And it’s easily the absolute best!!!! At least it always is for me! 😉

Bravoooo!👋
Honestly, I’ve lost interest in all that nonsense anyway!!! 😁

You make a fair point regarding that specific issue... but if you're actually interested in the whole picture, then this remaining part—if you can even call it that—won't be too much for you to handle either... I guess... 😉

Are you kidding me? 😕
For crying out loud, I was just reading in a medical encyclopedia that soaking in lukewarm water is recommended—and they even specified it should be about 8 cm deep. 😁
I mean, what you wrote makes total sense... I’m not any more confused than I was before.

So, here’s the deal: you have to distinguish between external and internal issues. External ones hurt like hell—even if they don't bleed much—while internal ones might not cause much pain, but they can bleed. And honestly? That bleeding is where things get sketchy. It can lead to anemia, or worse, it could be a red flag for something more serious like Crohn’s disease, colon cancer, or colitis. For the external stuff, doctors usually suggest ointments or just soaking in chamomile tea, a diluted potassium permanganate solution, or even just a warm bath. The big thing, though, is lifestyle—you really need to load up on fiber, eat plenty of walnuts, and stay incredibly hydrated throughout the day...

To put it simply, you can get these from straining too hard, dealing with a lingering cough, or even just sitting on a cold surface for too long. You end up with these swollen veins around the area that fill up with blood—they can look purple or bluish... it looks pretty gnarly, but it isn't life-threatening.

That’s about it. Just my humble take on things. 😉
Hey Susan Miller65, what exactly are you majoring in?😕

As for me... two hours a week basically translates to one less exam to worry about! 😉 Not all twelve, mind you! 😉

Besides, it’s all pretty subjective—if you’re actually studying something you enjoy, it won’t feel like a grind... but if you're stuck doing something you hate, then yeah, it's going to be a struggle. Whatever.

Anyway, no big deal on the off-topic thread. It's totally fine. 😉

...I'm heading off now to knock out my two hours for the day. 🙂
I am honestly so sick of these mindless comparisons about whose major is "harder" or whose workload is more grueling.
I have two friends, both majoring in Psychology, and they couldn't be more different. One of them is constantly whining—just non-stop—about how brutal her program is, how much she has to study, and how impossible everything feels... it’s just endless noise. Meanwhile, the other one studies at a local state college; once she’s done with her coursework, she’ll grab coffee with me or head over to somewhere like Starbucks, and she won't say a single word about the stress of her classes. They are living in two completely different worlds. It just goes to show how much this all comes down to the individual.

Every single one of my courses is condensed into a single semester. I end up taking anywhere from 10 to 12 classes per term. That means I'm looking at roughly 22 exams a year. Of course, the second I mention that, people immediately jump down my throat, claiming my school must be a joke or that the exams can't possibly be difficult because "you don't even have to study." Look, obviously one of my exams isn't the same as one of yours—they're shorter—but even if I only put in two hours of studying a day during finals week, I still manage to pass (and I’m not talking about just scraping by with a D!). There will always be some idiot ready to nitpick and claim my degree isn't challenging... but seriously, people, you cannot generalize like that.🙄

Btw Ashley Vaughn79—congrats on passing your exam! 😉
Look, I don't have the patience to sit around and try to learn everything bit by bit, day after day. My lectures are stretched out over the entire week—all those mandatory ones, ugh—but somehow, I manage to cram an insane amount of info into just two hours of solid focus.
i guess.

But that’s what I call effective studying. Digging through old notebooks or staring at textbooks doesn't count toward those two hours.

A little more pressure and the panic sets in... total red alert... time to reach for the Prozac and Vigapan.

And let's not forget the absolutely ridiculous amounts of coffee required to stay upright...😉

Hmm. Every now and then, I actually find a weird sort of amusement in all this chaos... almost like some kind of masochistic streak... a strange sense of enjoyment.
Luckily, those moments are few and far between! 😁
Wait, you mean eight hours until ten o'clock?????😲

Jesus !!!!! For me, the absolute most I can handle is two hours a day...
Honestly, I just can't focus when I'm studying in those libraries—especially not at the Library of Congress... I can't relax, I can't get comfortable, nothing. Everything feels off because it's so unnervingly quiet. It's such a massive space, yet you're hit with this eerie, hollow silence... just absolute NOTHINGNESS... it gives me the chills...

Either I stay home on my balcony with a mountain of textbooks and enough coffee to power a small city... just flipping through page after page after page...

I haven't actually sat down to study since around October, and frankly, I have no clue how I'm going to pull all of this off...

Anyway, good luck to everyone!!!!! 😉
OB/GYN Discussion Thread in Women's Health ·
Ugh, I know Tadić is my buddy’s mom... everyone keeps telling me she’s an amazing doctor—really top-tier—but honestly? I just can't bring myself to go to her. There's just something about it... no, I can't even explain it... ugh.

As for Dr. Klaiceva, isn't that kind of a pediatrician vibe? Like, something for little girls and teenagers? Besides, back when I was in high school—there were a few of them there—one of them absolutely wrecked me. I wouldn't recommend Klaiceva to anyone, seriously.

If you want someone decent, try Dr. Bingula over at the County Health Center near the main station. She’s a perfectly polite woman. Very professional. And since she's not part of some fancy private practice, you don't have to worry about being overcharged.
Alright, I’m feeling a little better now...😁

Around this time last year, I picked up some Vigopan supplements—supposedly they help with focus while studying—but honestly, I didn't feel any difference at all. Has anyone else tried them?

And as for Persen... I don't know. I always have this nagging fear about taking any kind of supplement like that—that it'll just numb my brain or leave me feeling totally sluggish, making it impossible to function normally in other areas of my life...

To be honest, I really believe that if I can just force myself to stay home long enough, eventually, the studying will actually start happening. The worst part is that I’m constantly guessing or just completely ignoring deadlines—I just look at the month number and call it a day—so everything ends up piling up all at once... and don't even get me started on how much time I waste scrolling through social media...

Buaaaaa !!!!!!!!!!!

p.s. definitely getting wasted once this is all over!!!!!😛
Alright. The season of pre-exam deadlines has officially kicked in... and last night, I was hit by such an inexplicable wave of panic and anxiety that I had to abandon my coffee date immediately and just get home—it wasn’t even about anything I saw online during those three hours of scrolling, it just happened, and I needed to be 😁.

I’m curious, how do you all deal with this pre-exam stress and panic? Studying? Obviously, yes, there's no question about that, but even then, I’m left with this horrible, lingering sense of dread that I just can't shake...

I really hope I’m not the only one freaking out now that we're heading into the middle of the semester... because if I am, I’m going to feel even worse...😁

ruggedjackal46 said:Christian Sanchez44, tell me—are we really at the point where kids get to swap out math drills for soccer practice just because you wouldn't let them go see a movie? It’s getting ridiculous. 🙂
Look, swearing has never actually killed anyone—I mean, surely you remember some of those classic, old-school curses from back in the day. 😁

Look, kid, watch your mouth—that's my sister you're talking about! 😉
She’s little—nine years old today... and for some reason, she's absolutely obsessed with Eminem.
If there were 13, I wouldn't have a single thing to say about it.
But nine... honestly, what they were swearing about was the smallest thing imaginable. I was just wondering if it was anything like his lyrics—you know, like the stuff about Kim? 😉

khhm. So, I'm actually getting ready to drag my kid off to the movie theater (I don't quite get this whole Eminem mania sweeping through the elementary schools, but whatever...) because they're insisting on it. It got me wondering—is this movie actually appropriate for an elementary schooler? To be blunt, is there any of that explicit stuff, violence, or excessive swearing...

Clair de femme 👍
(Or does it just feel like he's somehow the only one out there who claims to have zero connection to politics... even though he clearly does? 😁 )

ps. Sorry for the off-topic tangent! 😉
Look, I’ll just be honest here.
That one track by Shakira, Underneath Your Clothes.

It was honestly such a shock to me when I realized I was actually mumbling along to it... way more than I care to admit...

Look, Insomnia has been playing in theaters for ages now...😕
To be fair, it was at the AMC—that whole StellaFilmSpecial vibe.

The only movie I’ve ever actually sat around waiting for—and I mean *waiting*—was Requiem for a Dream. I spent nearly a year counting down the days.
Yeah.
Anyway, nothing much else.
There is just way too much good stuff left on my watchlist, so I try not to let myself get swept up in these massive waves of anticipation for whatever comes next. I prefer to take things slow—methodical, even.
When the time comes, it'll come. It isn't going anywhere.
