Honestly, I haven't even thought about what kind of...🙂 I’m just sticking with Social Security for now since it’s cheaper and way more reliable. And hey, maybe something better will pop up in the meantime 🙂
Thanks so much, Jacob White37! Honestly, I think I'm gonna skip the testing again... such a bummer, right? But hey, I'll just head straight to the in-laws next week instead...
Quoting myself from another thread: I’ve been MIA here for a bit... ugh, my period is nowhere to be found, though honestly, it's always super irregular for me (usually anywhere from 28 to 40 days). Right now, my stomach is cramping so hard I feel like I'm about to get my period, but nothing is happening. I had some brownish spotting about 10 days ago—today is actually day 39—and it lasted for two days, then stopped, then came back for a few more days before finally disappearing (it was total chaos for like 3 or 4 days). I took a pregnancy test today, but since I didn't use my first morning urine, it came back negative. Back during my first pregnancy, I had implantation bleeding for just one day and then tested positive right around day 37... plus, I had almost these exact same symptoms. I really need to head to the OBGYN, right?
Update: It’s actually day 40 now (my bad, I miscounted earlier, it wasn't 39)... I did a stick test using my first morning pee and it was negative. Still no period, everything hurts, and my breasts are definitely swelling up. Honestly, I don't even think there's much of a chance I'm pregnant. I tried calling my doctor, but her office is slammed and they're closed for the next three days. Should I just wait until next week for an appointment, or should I try testing again?
Does anyone know a neurologist who actually takes appointments in the afternoon? Looking for someone for adults, social insurance... I had a really great neurologist over in the downtown area once, but I can't for the life of me remember her name.
Man, I’ve been dealing with some weird fainting spells lately too... It started a few months back, but only like once a week. But then over the last couple of weeks, it’s really ramped up to happening multiple times a day. Specifically, just this crazy dizziness and weakness. Usually hits me when I'm on the subway or in a crowded room. One second I feel like I can't even catch my breath, my arms and legs start tingling, my knees just give out, I start shaking, and everything just goes black... My coworkers at the office were teasing me, asking if I was pregnant again (even though I bought a test and there's zero chance—obviously not...), but yeah... Back in June, I had my bloodwork done—glucose, iron, liver enzymes, all that. Everything came back perfect. Only thing was my thyroid hormones were a tiny bit off, but my doctor says that shouldn't be related to this. I keep telling myself I'm just making it up, and honestly, the more I obsess over it, the worse it probably gets. You think it could be something psychological?
Thanks so much, melloworca6... I'm gonna head over to the main thread to drop my question there, maybe someone else will have some insight to share too...🙂
Hey everyone. I have a quick question about my thyroid labs. So, I had my first baby about a year ago, and ever since then, I’ve been losing weight like crazy. No matter how much I eat, the scale just keeps dropping, and I feel totally wiped out... just exhausted all the time. I figured it was probably just the stress of taking care of a little one, but my doctor was concerned enough to send me for blood and urine tests (everything there came back fine), and specifically to check my thyroid. I’ve never had any issues with it before, and none of my family members have either. Anyway, here are the results: T3 - 1.23 T4 - 89.3 TSH - 4.64 (the limit is 4)
Does this look normal to you guys? I don't have the reference ranges handy. I'm 27 and female. If anyone can help me make sense of this, thanks so much...
I gave birth about four and a half months ago, and honestly, if I had to pick the absolute worst part of the whole ordeal—even with all the physical misery I dealt with—it was the constant dismissal. Every single time I mentioned feeling nauseous, or dealing with kidney pain, or my back acting up, or just that intense pressure... I’d get hit with some variation of, "Oh, stop complaining, that's just how it is." If some guy were going through the exact same thing, people would be throwing a parade for him and treating him like a martyr because he's suffering. Even at work, they’d act like I wasn't pulling my weight, even though I was basically sprinting to the restroom every five minutes. Ugh. ☕ Honestly, us women are the real MVPs when it comes to pregnancy, trying to conceive, or just being moms...
thanks girls, I think I'll grab some cookies for everyone... probably just those little individual boxes, you know, just a little something sweet. and of course a little gift for everybody too, hopefully that's enough. for the ones who stick around until the very end, I'll see if there are any leftovers and try to pack them up somehow... maybe...
Hey, quick question... At the bakery, they told us that 7 ounces per person should be plenty, and we’re looking at a max of 90 guests for the wedding. So, I was wondering—do you guys usually take the cookie boxes already filled up and hand out one to each couple as they head out? Or do you wait until most of the guests have cleared out, then just pack whatever is left on the dessert table into boxes for the last few people hanging around?? Honestly, I hadn't even thought about this yet... and now I really need to give them an answer.🤷
So, does anyone here have any experience with those homemade cookies from Karlovac? I mean, I had them once at a wedding and they were honestly incredible, but I’m dying to hear if anyone else has tried them... I just really want more info.🙂
Keith Nguyen9 said:I am in no rush at all; rather, I find myself in a state of eager anticipation, hoping for positive news. I have already consulted with my OB-GYN, and everything appears to be perfectly fine from a medical standpoint, though nothing can be visually confirmed regarding the pregnancy just yet. My period is also late. In my view, expectant mothers should be met with support and encouragement rather than being discouraged. When one encounters posts like this, it makes it incredibly difficult to remain optimistic, and quite frankly, it causes me to lose hope.😢
Hey Keith Nguyen9, if you're already six days late, a test would definitely pick it up by now... assuming your cycle is somewhat regular. I deal with late ovulation myself too, but even then, I’m pretty sure once you hit that fourteen-day mark after ovulation, you'd get a clear answer. Still, there are always exceptions to the rule... 🤷 So, did your OB-GYN give you any pills to kickstart things or maybe something to help keep the pregnancy steady if you're testing positive?...
velvetgull36 said:So, here I am—not trying to leave you all hanging... but I went to a shoot today and didn't have time to run a pregnancy test... plus, I can't help feeling like it might be too soon 😢 I'm honestly a bit conflicted about whether I should even bother... though I suppose most women probably feel this way during these things 🙂)))))))))))) Anyway, I'll just get it done in the next few days and let you know 🙂!!!!!!!!!!
Hey velvetgull36, I'd honestly have you peeing on that stick right in front of me if I could, I'm so anxious for you! Just kidding, take it easy, do what feels right, and fingers crossed 😉 sending all the good vibes to the rest of the girls for next time ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Harold Howard6 said:Quick update: my test came back negative, and I haven't even heard back from the clinic yet... It’s not exactly that we were actively trying to conceive, but now that I’m actually facing this situation, I realized just how much it saddens me that it hasn't happened yet. Oh well—next time the opportunity arises, we're jumping straight into it. 😁
micek, better luck next time 😉😉 and as for your period being late, maybe have your partner go down there and take a little peek to see what's going on👍 snupice, did you get a positive result??
Ethan Rivera95 - I honestly think you could probably take a test right about now... like, how many days until you expect your period to show up, and what was your day after ovulation? From what I remember, your doctor mentioned a thickened uterine lining, and if I'm not mistaken, that’s just the body getting everything ready for a pregnancy, though I can't be totally sure... 😉 ekonomski - hey, did you end up taking a test yet?
Chloe Morgan6 said:I'm 20. And I wrote that I don't know what I'll do because, well, I really don't know what I'm going to do or how, mostly because I'm still in college. I should be finishing my freshman year, so everything feels kind of messed up right now. Plus, my boyfriend is younger than me—he's actually just a senior in high school ( 😍 ), so it’s a bit much for him too. But... I've decided I'm going to have the baby. To be honest, I've never even seriously considered an abortion. I mean, I support people making their own choices, obviously, but I just don't think I could ever do that. Maybe if I were 15, I might have thought about it, maybe. But I'm older now. It isn't an ideal situation by any stretch, but I think I can handle it all... 😁
Good luck, sweetie... and huge congrats from the bottom of my heart 😁
shadowtinker21 said:I have an appointment on September 7th... we’ll run one more test tomorrow morning and I'll let you know how it goes. After that, I'm done with all these tests and waiting for the doctor's visit, because this constant uncertainty and the stress of it all is starting to wear me down...
Don't let it get to you, you're totally right to feel that way. Just one more test tomorrow morning and then wait for that doctor's appointment. Let us know what the test says... sending you so much luck, I really hope everything turns out exactly how you're hoping...👍
I honestly think you might be pregnant, especially since you had that reddish spotting about a week after... sounds like implantation to me... definitely take another test first thing tomorrow morning. I really don't think it's just a regular period, but maybe it's best to hit up your OB-GYN just to be safe, though I have a feeling we'll be celebrating a new addition to the family soon 👍
