Proposed bill on IVF regulations in Women's Health ·
I’m just as appalled by these laws as everyone else. What really stung, though, was our Secretary's comment regarding couples who don't have a "marriage certificate." It honestly feels like we're just proving once again how backwards this country can be. We need to put God first, and then address things like this. It's unbelievable. I truly don't understand why we aren't settling issues like this through a national referendum, and I'd love to know which "experts" decided this was okay to pass without a proper vote.

Some people have killer looks, but I’m just pure lethal. 🙂

< I'm not sure how much sense it makes for you all to keep telling me my legs are too strong.>

I don't know, to me this just looks like pig trotters. 🙂

Fainted during a blood draw in Health ·
Taylor Campbell4 said:Here’s a genuine question for the group: Does anyone here actually pass out after having blood drawn—even if you aren't afraid of needles, blood, or the whole process? Like, does it just happen even if you don't find it uncomfortable watching the blood flow into the vial? (I always watch mine—I used to be a bit squeamish years ago, so I think it helps me stay grounded, though it's been a while since my last lab work)

Yeah, me too! I actually feel like I'm going to collapse right while they're doing it.
I would be really grateful if someone could help me out. My legs are hurting terribly, and I can't get to sleep because they feel so "heavy." A friend mentioned yesterday that it might be due to fluid retention. My question is: could those two things be connected? I've been taking Logest for about 8 months now, and this is only the second or third time this has happened to me.

I see where you're coming from. For me, though, it’s more of a physical reaction because my blood pressure and blood sugar tend to drop. It isn't just an issue affecting older people, and it definitely isn't just something psychological.

My stomach after dropping 5 pounds and then not hitting the gym for like a year

I was at the gynecologist, and they told me I should take my pill right away.

And then, after a seven-day break, I start taking them again. So, since I’m technically one pill short right now, should I count my break starting from the last pill I actually took, or should I wait eight days from that point?

By the way, it’s only been about 35 to 40 minutes—not even a full hour yet.

And everyone keeps telling me there's absolutely no way I can have just one more.

I need some help. I came down with the stomach flu today. I took my pill at 10 PM and went to bed, but just ten minutes ago, I felt sick again and had to throw up. What should I do? Should I take another pill and just try to protect myself mechanically? I’m on Logest, and I can't find any instructions in the box about what to do when this happens.

If you think this looks bad, just imagine how it'll look after I put on another 13 pounds over the next six months. 😢

Anonymous blood testing? in Women's Health ·
Grace Price88 said:I went to see my gynecologist privately, and she gave me a list of tests I need to get done before starting contraception. However, I can't ask my primary care doctor for a referral for bloodwork (for personal reasons). So, I know exactly what needs to be done, but I don't have a formal referral—is there any way to still get it done??

My GP wouldn't give me a referral for bloodwork for birth control either. I ended up having to ask my gynecologist instead.

Nancy Campbell5 said:Does anyone know if my primary care doctor can just write the referrals for things like morning tests, coagulation panels, and stuff like that, or am I stuck waiting for a gynecologist? I feel like I'll be waiting forever to see a specialist...

I saw my doctor today, and she wouldn't even give me a referral for blood work—she said I had to go through a gynecologist for that. She finally gave me a lab slip, but then she started lecturing me about how blood counts can be misleading anyway.
Jonathan Garcia3 said:Oh man, don't scare me like that... I’m actually about to start on Yazmin, just waiting for my period to show up first. My skin is looking totally flawless right now and I keep telling myself it's fine—I mean, it can't just go south overnight, right? But I guess I have to admit I'm a little nervous. I really want to go with Yazmin because they're supposed to be the mildest option, and honestly, I just need something to regulate my cycle and clear up my complexion. I really don't want to start putting on weight (because I seriously don't need that) or deal with any weird side effects...

Hehe, hormones won't ask you if you actually wanted to gain weight or not; if you're unlucky, it's just going to happen.

I’ve been noticing some pain on my right side, right near the collarbone, whenever I’m out for a run 🤷 always

What’s the deal with those protein bars from CVS? Are they actually any good for a post-workout snack?
Best protein powders for muscle gain? in Hobbies & Leisure ·
I’m not saying it’s because of what I ate. It’s more that I just don't want to end up in a situation where I'm sprinting to the restroom again, you know? I'm fully aware it's triggered by the physical exertion itself.

silverfox41 As I was saying:
You're overthinking it! Just scoop two servings of whey protein and a spoonful of dextrose into about 12 ounces of water, give it a good shake, drink it down, and head to bed.

Look, you don't necessarily have to eat five hours before a workout. You can definitely get something in about two hours beforehand, just try to avoid heavy stuff like beef. Go for something lighter instead—maybe some lean protein like tuna with a side salad.

It’s not that I can’t do it; it’s that I shouldn't. Rowing is an incredibly grueling sport, especially during the winter months when you're stuck training on the erg. You can find yourself sitting there for over an hour, staring at a screen where the data shifts from a decent, realistic pace to that absolute nightmare scenario where your coach pushes you toward a max effort that feels impossible. You have to. Pull it.

I had lunch at noon today, only to end up throwing it all back up by 10 PM tonight. Honestly, my fears about this were justified.

Thanks so much for the info. That’s exactly what I wanted to hear—short and sweet. 😉

And honestly, there’s another major hurdle I have to deal with: I can't eat anything for at least five hours before hitting the gym. If I do, my stomach starts acting up, and things end quite badly.
