Brandon Diaz29 said:Hey there. I was wondering how long the wait typically is for an appointment with a gynecologist? My girlfriend's period is about 3-4 days late, and she's starting to panic thinking she might be pregnant, though I'm pretty sure nothing "happened" in that sense.
If weight gain is your only concern, then don't even bother asking about them. Honestly, it’s not like you're looking for deep philosophical advice here. Every single pill comes with its own set of side effects.
For me, the weight gain from pills wasn't even about fat; it was more like my body started retaining water. I just felt bloated and swollen, especially in my legs. To be honest, I didn't mind the extra weight that much—I'd much rather deal with being heavy than being pregnant.

My gynecologist actually told me once that this can happen. Apparently, you can skip a period because of low hormone levels in the pill.
Why would anyone go against nature anyway? But then there's that argument, "I'm just tired of shaving my legs all the time." 🙄Like, I'm only 16 years old.

It’s gotten to the point where I can’t even keep a pill on my tongue without wanting to gag, and even just swishing water in my mouth or holding gum without chewing makes me feel sick. I’ve never dealt with anything like this before; I used to be able to do all these things without any issue. I honestly don't understand why this is happening. Does anyone have any advice? 😢
Chewing gum for too long actually makes me feel nauseous. It's awful, though it usually only happens if I realize an hour later that I still have a piece in my mouth. My mother gets so lightheaded she nearly faints every time she vomits...
The only way I can actually enjoy vegan cheese: slice up some carrots, celery, tomatoes, zucchini, and leeks into thin strips and sauté them in a little oil until the veggies get tender (make sure there's still a bit of sauce left in the pan), toss in some fresh parsley, and then serve it hot right over the vegan cheese.
You’re heading to the beach for two weeks... you can definitely manage five days without swimming. Just lounge on the sand and soak up some sun.
By the way, when I was thirteen and at my high school graduation party, I was the only girl dealing with my period. I used a tampon back then. Honestly, I wouldn't recommend relying on them right now; even having instructions wouldn't really make a difference.
Just enjoy these two weeks and go with the flow. There will be days when you'll be wishing it would just show up already.
Yeah, I’ve read somewhere that you can actually spot certain illnesses just by looking at your tongue, though I’m not entirely sure how much truth there is to that. I haven't personally dealt with anything like it, but I do know that after I had a tooth pulled, I had to rinse my mouth out with that antiseptic liquid to keep everything clean. And honestly, if I were you, I'd go find a new doctor. You really shouldn't just sit around waiting for something like this to clear up on its own.
I feel the same way sometimes. Honestly, today you’re just spinning all sorts of different scenarios and overthinking things in your head The best thing to do is just take some deep breaths and look at the situation for what it really is. Of course, you need to talk it out too, but you'll find your own way to a solution just by having that conversation.
I’ve been dealing with low blood pressure myself, along with those annoying racing heart palpitations. My blood work came back normal, and I'm still waiting on my thyroid hormone results. I finally got a referral to see a cardiologist, so we'll see what they have to say about my heart.

Actually, you can if a doctor determines it's necessary. In my case, they sent me for an ultrasound first, and it turned out I didn't even need the mammogram after all.
Can anyone tell me how long I should expect to wait for my period to start after stopping the pill a month ago? I was supposed to get it today, and while my ovaries are aching, there's absolutely no spotting or anything—just my hormones going haywire, so I'm feeling pretty cranky.
I wouldn't say so. But honestly, having a nail pulled isn't even that big of a deal; I've had it done twice on my big toe and everything turned out just fine.
