Jeans recommendations? in Fashion ·
David Alvarez26 said:I'm actually curious about some Levi's jeans myself. Is there any decent sale going on in the city right now? I'm mostly eyeing those 501s. Besides the Europa 92 shop, where else can one pick up Levi's around town?

There's a Levi's store over at the Arena Mall.

Hey, I’ve got another recommendation for an online shop that actually carries larger sizes if you're looking.

My two dresses showed up yesterday—it took about ten days from when I clicked "order"—and honestly, I am absolutely thrilled with them. So yeah, definitely give them a look! 😍

Maxy is still doing alright; my mom actually shops there all the time. It’s definitely on the pricier side, but I think you get what you pay for in terms of quality—at least from what I see with her, those jeans of hers have lasted for years. The only thing is, I feel like they might have closed off that section where they used to carry the everyday stuff and merged it into the high-end boutique area. At least, that was the vibe when I last swung by back in July.

That dress is absolutely gorgeous... 😍

nimbleheron47 said:They actually had some at Walmart recently for $8.25. Personally, I think they're great—finally found a size that actually fits my height properly.

I spotted them at the Victoria's Secret outlet too, so they probably have them in a regular store somewhere. And yeah, they really are super comfy. 🙂 They were about 19 and $9.75, though I can't remember the exact price off the top of my head. They definitely aren't more than that.

Sweet, I'll definitely go look for them then, thanks! 🙂

Roger Lee9, what kind of skin tones are we talking about? The ones I saw at Target were fantastic—they feel a bit thicker than 10 denier, but they have such a natural, matte finish that it’s just heaven 😍 Oh, and they go for $1.25 😬

Hey everyone, where can I pick up some decent toeless tights? I heard they might have some at Nama, but I’d love to get some firsthand advice if you guys know where the good 🙂
are.

Charles Gomez4 said:I don't like it either, regardless of how things fit. To be honest, I couldn't care less about a sales associate's opinion, no matter how much of an expert they claim to be. I didn't come in for an opinion or "friendly" advice; I came in for a new piece of clothing.

Thank God online shopping exists. 👋

Alright, let me apologize for my post then—it’s clear we just see things differently, especially on this topic. Personally, I couldn't function if my shopping style was just "charge me up and toss it in the bag." If it wasn't for that lady driving a Mustang who suggested a specific denim cut—one that wouldn't make my thighs look even heavier but would actually slim them down visually—I wouldn't be wearing the best jeans of my life right now. Instead, I'd probably be stuck in some carrot-cut style that makes my backside look way wider. Sometimes, you actually have to listen to other people.

Kyle Bishop65, I was actually going to say that exact thing, but then I thought—nah, I won't, I don't want to offend anyone... But honestly, I’m right there with you. If I were in Lorraine's shoes, I’d just have laughed at myself and turned the whole thing into a joke. Because if a cashier said that to me? Well, damn, they wouldn't be wrong. So what? Am I supposed to sit here and cry just because someone pointed out that I'm tough? They were just stating a fact. It's what everyone can see.
If we were all super skinny, people would be like, "Wow, look how fit and gorgeous she is," and instead of feeling insulted, we’d probably be flattered. Come on, ladies. The sooner you embrace who you are, the better life gets.
vividsailor7 said:Basically, you just need to go in on an empty stomach.
It’s pretty straightforward—you grab that first morning urine sample in a cup, and after that, you can hydrate as much as you want. Also, once the blood draw is out of the way, you're free to eat whatever you're craving!

Thanks, 🙂
Hey there! I have a quick question about getting some blood work done. My OBGYN sent me for a panel because of my birth control—basically looking at my CBC, liver enzymes, transaminases, urea, creatinine, glucose, a small coagulation profile, and a urine test. Since I’ve been dealing with this weird lower abdominal pain for a few days now (though my doctor already ruled out any gynecological issues), I was wondering if I need to be fasting for these specific tests? Or can I just swing by sometime during the day? Also, if I do need to fast, how long should I go without eating or drinking before heading in? Thanks! 🙂

Thanks so much!
Looking for a specialist... in Health ·
Hey everyone! I’m currently hunting for a solid private doctor here in Washington, D.C. because I’ve been dealing with some pretty annoying leg pain lately. Honestly, I’m starting to suspect it might be a vein issue, but I’m totally lost on which specialist I should actually be looking for. If anyone has a great recommendation, I would be so incredibly grateful!
Cracked lips/sores on lips in Health ·
I’ve heard about cold sores, but can they actually spread across the whole lip area? I always just assumed they were stuck in the corners of your mouth.

Anyway, I finally made it to my dentist, and she suggested using some Dakarin gel along with a little Vitamin B complex, which should clear things up. Thanks for all the advice regardless! 🙂

Look, I know specifically about places like Saks Fifth Avenue or Neiman Marcus in the big cities. My mom usually shops at Nordstrom—she picks up her high-end stuff there, though I'll admit, you definitely pay a premium for that quality. For her everyday basics, she just sticks to the reliable spots like Target, Kohl's, or even Trader Joe's...

I could really use some advice if anyone’s got a minute 🙂

So, I've got these annoying little cracks forming on my lips—specifically right in that crease where your lips meet when you close your mouth. It's hard to describe, but honestly, it looks like I've been constantly biting my skin off, even though I haven't touched them at all. I actually dealt with this exact same thing a few years back, and my dentist told me to just grab some medicated gel and slather it on. The problem is, my brain is totally blanking on the name, and I can't exactly squeeze in an appointment with my dentist right now :/ Does anyone have any recommendations for what I should use? I've been applying some ointment every single night, but I'm just not seeing any real progress.

H&M+ is also at the CC1 mall out east.

Dana Wilson said:So, I'm actually hanging out at the mall right now, so I'll scout out if there are any B&B options over at H&M. I can't even look at Oltre though, because my man would seriously kill me if I did 😁 .. There’s also that one New Look thing, so I’ll let you know what it is once I check it out 😉

New Look is actually pretty cute! I've seen stuff there going up to a size 14, so if that works for your sizing, you can definitely find some really lovely pieces 🙂

Guess what? It’s finally here—the B&B collection has officially dropped! 🙂
Period talk: Questions and advice in Women's Health ·
So, my cycle usually hits right on day 24, every single month since I started tracking them, but this time things are totally thrown off—it showed up way earlier than expected. Up until yesterday, I was dealing with some brownish spotting and just this weird, uncomfortable sensation in my lower abdomen, so I went ahead and booked an appointment with my OB-GYN. I’m heading in tomorrow morning to see what's actually going on.
Period talk: Questions and advice in Women's Health ·
Hey ladies, I’ve got a bit of a question for the group. I’ve been on Yasmin for quite a while now—originally I started them just to get my irregular cycles under control, but lately, they’ve basically been serving as my primary birth control. So, here’s the deal: I took the first pill from my most recent pack on February 13th, and normally I’d expect my period to show up after about 24 days. Instead, it decided to drop in on day 20, even though I still had two pills left to take in the pack. I went ahead and finished those last two, and now I’m just waiting for this period to finally wrap up. It feels like it's dragging on longer than usual (I'm on day 8 now!), though the flow itself has actually been lighter than what I typically experience... Any idea why my body might be acting a little wonky like this?
