Throwing in some references to this genre or that one, splashing blood everywhere, cutting in pieces... honestly, I could come up with at least 15 better ways to pull off that kind of mockery. So, if the whole point of the flick is just to mess around, then in my book, the messing around is just plain lazy.
Maybe he can scrape by with a sequel.
Hear, hear. Why does everyone act like mixing genres is some kind of valid argument for a positive review? Since when is that a sufficient reason for actual quality? An homage to Bruce Lee movies?? Okay, sure, but where is the actual substance in this film?? It’s got a few decent bits and that's about it... everything else is just pure filler. We all love watching a good fight scene, but after a while, you just get fed up. It's true that Tarantino parodies whatever pops into his head, but that doesn't mean the parody actually lands. Ugh, "I've outdone myself"—what a total cliché. IMHO, the only thing he's outdone is his own decline.
Oh, and yeah, Lucy Liu is gorgeous. (But wow, what a shocker, right?)🙂

Is this whole thing just some massive provocation meant to bait someone into typing "Thievery Corporation doesn't play dub"?🙄 😁

Plus, there's this one group called "The Mysterious Force That Suddenly Appears And Fixes Everything" (yeah, that's their actual name, I'm not even kidding 🙂 ).
hmm, I don't know. If you can't track it down, I could just mail you the disc myself... though the subtitles are in some weird dialect from overseas. 😛
Honestly, it was absolutely gut-wrenching. The only tiny nitpick I have is that a few situations felt a little too convenient—like, you wouldn't expect him to be completely alone near that building without anyone noticing... It’s a heavy, grueling watch, for sure. But that's exactly why I know I'll end up watching it again... 🙂 😁
Erykah Badu.... she sings so damn well it actually makes me hate her 😁 Sarah Vaughan😲 -> Diana Ross Amalia Rodrigues—she used to sing fado... honestly, it just breaks your heart! 😉 then you've got those two little birds from Manhattan transfer Bebel Gilberto Björk (have you guys heard how "unhinged" that girl sounds when she does jazz?) ... 🙂

I told you guys! 😛 Sundance isn't even a real film festival anymore, it's just a giant, overpriced vanity project... 😳

👍 That’s exactly why we see more and more of those "high society" wannabes showing up every single year 🙄 😛
P.S. I'm planning on heading out today, but my gut is telling me that for some reason, I probably won't end up going...
Oh yeah, we’re going for it, at least for one day before the week wraps up... I honestly feel like it’s absolutely vital to be seen out in Napa Valley this week 🙄 🙄 😁
Number one on my list is definitely "The Coastal Soul" 🙏 It was written by that old legend from the coast, he’s basically like an American folk singer 😁 8) When I first heard it, there was just something about it that felt so special... and later on, it picked up this whole layer of sentimental value, but that's a whole other conversation 🙄😁
I also absolutely love "Vineyards in the Valley" 🙂 and "Under the Lepanto Sun" and of course, whenever I hear "Tomorrow You'll Be Gone" live, I swear I end up bawling my eyes out like a complete wreck 😁
😁 I’ve always been a massive sucker for heavy drummers 🙄 😎 but I have absolutely never heard this one before... seriously, how am I just now finding out about 😁
