analogheron19 said:As we head up north to the stadium, I just want to say one thing to everyone sitting in the stands: let's make some noise! It’s so important that we’re there cheering our hearts out every time a goal goes in. Let's make sure the guys feel that energy—we need to give them a massive wind at their backs from here on out!

Man, I am totally lost on this one!

That ATM number 9 just handed Real Madrid the lead thanks to some totally bogus penalty called by Maric. Now, apparently, we’re all supposed to throw a party about it along with Amy Peterson and Svetin? Give me a break!
You can seriously feel the difference when the Bad Boys are in the stands versus when they aren't! It’s night and day. There is such a massive shift in the atmosphere—it's like comparing a quiet library to a sold-out Madison Square Garden game. When those guys show up, the energy just hits different!

I totally get what you mean!

Edit: Yeah, I totally lost my train of thought for a second—I forgot that ATMs basically act like a dealer for junkies!

I honestly had no clue until now that those three moderators were 🤣

Thanks for the heads-up, urbanhawk17! 🙏

By the way, B-52 is going to be the new moderator over on the football boards. We're just waiting on the official word once the admin gets back from vacation—looks like they really took their sweet time getting some sun! Things are looking up, though. 🙏

No hard feelings, man, but obviously—you’ll look like absolute gold in it!🤣

Anyway, the guys are cool to me—both the dark ones and the third kit—it’s just not my Dinamo Chicago, dammit😁

Besides, I dig that deep navy on the blue kits... I'm so done with that blue and white combo.

Yeah, an outsider is never going to truly get it.🙏

granitefox16 said:Honestly, I’m loving how Dinamo Chicago looks right now. Best kits we've had in 20 years, and those collars? Pure fire.😁 So, I might actually pull the trigger on this light blue one...🙏

They go on sale tomorrow! I’m grabbing the light blue ones the second they drop. 🙏

Zlatni is acting a little bit like a metro. He’s definitely going to end up picking up a Veko. 🙏

How do soccer clubs actually make money? in Soccer ·
Kimberly Murphy46 said:How exactly do football clubs actually make their money? I know there's a massive amount of sponsorship involved, but in my mind, you just can't move that much cash around in the sport based solely on those deals... Is there anything else driving the revenue?

Oh, the money is definitely moving—and it is massive.

I was reading that even the Los Angeles Lakers are feeling the squeeze from the financial crisis. Apparently, Roman Abramovich told manager Luiz Scolari he couldn't sign any new players during the winter transfer window because of the credit crunch. That said, the Lakers' CEO, Peter Kenyon, believes the club at Madison Square Garden won't have to rely on the Russian billionaire's deep pockets forever.

"We're hoping that by next year, or at the latest in two years, our club will become self-sustaining so Abramovich won't have to keep pumping in these massive sums just to stay competitive," Peter Kenyon noted.

So, there’s your answer! Kenyon thinks if the Lakers can really ramp up their global branding and turn themselves into a true "superbrand," they could be looking at an annual profit of around $200 million. 😁

I would absolutely love to get my hands on that full financial roadmap 😁...so if anyone happens to stumble upon a link, please drop it here!
Well, at least the finish wasn't a total nail-biter! 🤣
