The current state of the American psyche in Psychology ·
It really boils down to the people who run things versus the people being ruled...

We fall firmly into that second category. Personally, I suspect there's a direct link here to genetic engineering and the long-term goal of establishing a New World Order...

We are exactly where they want us to be. Stuck in the mud. That’s precisely where they intend to keep us...
Emotional Intelligence: A blessing or a curse? in Psychology ·

Ever since I was a little girl, I felt everything. I felt the whole world and everyone around me. I wasn't exactly a "typical" kid—didn't really follow the rules or go with the crowd, and I never judged other kids. I've always just been... different.
I eventually realized I have incredibly sharp intuition and high intelligence. My brain connects dots and processes info way faster than most people. I can see a problem from every possible angle instantly and pick the most realistic path based on my gut feeling.
I didn't have many friends back then. Crowds weren't my thing, and honestly, people didn't always like me because I'm too honest. Most people are a little afraid of the truth. I was pretty withdrawn and shy. But when I turned 16, I decided to completely reinvent myself—physically and personality-wise. I wanted to be strong and magnetic. Through a lot of hard work, I did it. I built myself into a complete person. Since 16, I've spent my time observing and analyzing people, sharpening that intuition and mental processing speed even more. But now, I've hit a bit of a breaking point...

I've become hyper-sensitive to other people's pain and emotions. I can feel the energy someone is radiating just by being near them, and I can read non-verbal cues perfectly. When I'm with someone—and this applies to everyone, but especially my partner—I find it impossible to hurt them or be selfish. I can't say the wrong thing because I already know exactly how they'll feel. I can't make mistakes because I'm too aware of their fears. I can't even afford to be a flawed human being.😢 - basically, I end up knowing a person better than they know themselves in such a short time.

I'm actually great at reading and influencing people, which is helpful for my career, though I'm totally sincere and rarely use it that way.

Sometimes I'll burst into tears over a news article because I feel the tragedy in the story so deeply. Yet, at the same time, I stay completely cold toward anything exaggerated or fake. If it isn't real, I don't feel it.

Some days, I feel like a robot. My brain is constantly bombarded by emotions and data, all being analyzed and processed. I often finish people's sentences before they even get them out. I remember everything—every word said, what I said, where we were, and exactly how everyone was reacting in that moment.

It's perfect sometimes, but other times... I just want it all to stop.😢 I feel like I'm going to lose my mind.

I'd really love to hear your thoughts or if you've experienced anything similar.

I completely understand you. I'm exactly the same way in every sense of the word; it honestly feels like the movie "Good Will Hunting" was written about me.
How long did I actually feel happy today? in Psychology ·
Workouts, workouts, and more workouts...

Once you finally realize how damn good it feels to be comfortable in your own skin—right where you are right now and everywhere you’re headed...

Some days I’m totally out of it, and other days I feel as happy as a little kid who just polished off a clean plate... who knows, really?
When I stop to look back at my journey, I feel this total sense of peace and a deep satisfaction that hits every single part of me. I know there will be ups and downs, but I’m genuinely happy because of that. I’m enjoying the ride itself, not just looking for the finish line.

The secret is to stay positive. Be persistent. No slacking off, and no compromises.

He actually sorted out my ED issues for me. I basically got direct advice from a local specialist on how to fix what I’d honestly be too embarrassed to call anything other than a 21st-century curse

How cool are mustaches? in Miscellaneous ·
Mustaches are cool, I’ll give you that... I respect it. But man, it’s hard to pull off. Once you commit to the mustache, where do you go from there? You have to be solid, like you're carved out of granite, if you want to rock one. You have to be a real man, someone with pride. If you're going for the look, you better be ready for it to consume you completely
.
It’s not about wearing some tiny, weak little thing here and there, or just trying it out sporadically... nothing against that, but it doesn't count
.
Take Freddie, for example. He was a legend
. The guy was gay, sure, but he was a true gentleman and he rocked a wild, unruly mustache. That was my kind of guy... let him show off his style
. In my opinion, he had an incredible voice. His fashion sense was a bit eccentric, but that mustache was classic. A mustache like that has actual character and charisma
.
And that’s the bottom line

Look, let me try to break this down for you, just a quick little summary, I guess.
The only real differences researchers have actually managed to pin down regarding intelligence seem to boil down to spatial vs. verbal skills. Basically, men tend to pull ahead when it comes to spatial stuff, while women usually take the lead on verbal things. That’s just the broad strokes, though—you can always find plenty of exceptions once you start looking at individuals. Apparently, when guys tap into those spatial abilities, they're using certain parts of the brain that women don't really use the same way. So, that's why there's that whole stereotype about men being better drivers, since they're supposedly better at judging speed, angles, distance, and where things are coming from. 😉 (Though, I should probably mention—the smartest person on the planet is allegedly a woman 🙏)
Another thing, which scientists are still scratching their heads over, is that whole idea that women can multitask better. You know, like being on the phone, painting your nails, and keeping an eye on dinner all at once. The theory is that women might have a corpus callosum—that's the bridge connecting the left and right hemispheres of the brain—that's up to 10% thicker than men's, so information just zips back and forth between the two sides way faster.

Anyway, don't expect too much more debate on this topic—it seems pretty clear to me that we're all equally capable. 😘

Man, this takes me right back to being a kid... I've always had a huge soft spot for those cult classic teen horror flicks.
Are these movies just smelling like mothballs at this point? Or what?
By the way, does anyone know where Kiefer Sutherland ended up?
