That’s exactly what I meant by "general influence"... 😁I just don't know how to put it into words properly, you know? 😵

Hey, I'm not asking you to agree with me. Why are YOU agreeing with me? 🙂 😁

Whoa, you're reaching a bit here... Look, I might absolutely love Fugazi—honestly, they're way ahead of Nirvana for me personally, and tons of bands I dig cite them as an influence rather than Nirvana—but we aren't living in some tiny underground indie bubble. And let's be real, this isn't even an indie-only forum.😢

I suspect a few people jumping into this thread haven't even heard of Fugazi, whereas everyone knows Nirvana. If we’re being fair, you could argue Fugazi has more musical weight, but Nirvana's overall impact is undeniable. They completely flipped the mainstream on its head, something neither Fugazi nor Slint (good luck finding them!) can touch.🙂

Hey, wiredfalcon2! You're being ridiculous.

(I know I'm not usually like this, but what else am I supposed to say to him?)

Remember what? BOC, new Heroina, Patti Smith, the fall of the Berlin Wall, the Siege of Troy...??

rapidskipper9 said:Don't worry, in ten years there will be a whole new generation of wannabe hipsters you can lecture about "the good old days" based on your vast experience.

I'm shaking, seriously—can't wait to show off my sadistic side once I'm old, ugly, and out of shape. Yay.

rapidskipper9 said:In the meantime, maybe watch your mouth. This is a public forum, after all, which means your nonsense is public embarrassment. 👋

Oh my god, 😁

and adds:
...are probably the most respected heavy metal band among non-metalheads.

Pathetic!! 😢

and continues:
Patti Smith wrote some lyrics for them—I mean, come on! How much more indie credibility can you get? 😁

Plus, they had a double A-side with Heroina. That definitely counts for something. 😎

Whatever. 😎 😛 😁

Look, the truth is simple: those three words—"Blue Öyster Cult"—are almost always followed by a massive "oh my god."
Kevin Chavez3 said:Yeah, or more like Hitler Youth. 😁

😳

Grammar is trash. And German is too.

Anyway, this parrot is awesome: image 😁

One word sums it up: cultist. 🙂
Thomas Myers6 said:Yeah, right. Next time I'll make sure to wear a Metallica shirt and work on that intense "killer stare" you see all those drummer rejects pulling on MTV.

Why don't you just let your hair down and pout every now and then too, sweetheart?
Laura Long5 said:Just try finding the MP3s for the Bloodshot Eyes album. Everything is crystal clear there. Unlike at the show, you can actually hear the bass guitar instead of it just being a muddy mess. I bet you'll change your mind...

Honestly, I was wondering during the concert why the hell it sounded like Fugazi—like this band had zero bass presence.😁

The last thing I heard was how awesome they were, and someone told me the band is called Wax.

Yeah, Thomas Myers6, listen to what amberfalcon172 said.😁

Yeah.

*finishing off the second cigarette from those two I had last night*
The opening act was... uh... pretty rough 🤔

They had one or two hits that hit the mark, and everything else was decent enough, just nothing mind-blowing. I mean, they’re all super talented and really nice people, but they're missing that "it" factor—aside from those few highlights. But man, the sound quality? Absolutely killer! 🤣
Nicholas King62 said:Seriously, it’s awesome that $8.25. More beer money for me! 🙂
We need this more often. When was the last time we saw a concert for that kind of price? 🤔 A long time ago, definitely.

Yummy yummy were $8.25 🙂
I’ve got a bit of an itch to buy something... 😁 I’ll probably pull the trigger once there's a decent deal.
