This list is painfully stupid, and that statement someone made about 12 Monkeys is just pure comedy. LOL
I usually forget boring movies ASAP, but for some reason, LOTR2 and Saw III are the ones stuck in my head—mostly because they were so tedious I was practically begging for them to end. I almost fell asleep mid-movie, but I stayed awake just to be polite to the crew. 😢
Yeah, I mean, Rachel is... she's kind of a brat, honestly. A bit unlikable, which was pretty much my only gripe with the movie. Not trying to be that guy, but toward the end, when they're dealing with that whole second Jumper situation, I was basically shouting at the screen: OK! THAT IS A SOLID PLAN, GO FOR IT! 😁😁😁 You know which 😍 True, I keep forgetting that Denise Richards isn't exactly a spring chicken anymore, but man, looking at her, I couldn't help but remember those scenes from Wild Things and Starship Troopers 😍
Honestly, I was pretty damn surprised... Considering how much absolute garbage has been coming out of San Francisco lately, this actually felt great—fast-paced, edgy, and just plain cool... Some director really showed off his skills here, especially with those badass action scenes featuring Samuel L. Jackson absolutely tearing through teenagers 🙏 🙏 🙏 And personally, even little Hayden Christensen is a solid guy, no matter how much people talk trash about him because of Darth Vader 🙂 My only gripe was the female lead; I saw some photos online and she just wasn't my type, plus she was super irritating in the movie. I kept thinking Denise Richards would have fit this vibe perfectly... I don't know why, just felt right... 🙂
lol, just rewatched this movie last night and popped it back on with the crew. booze + shots + Shoot Em up = absolute chaos pure screaming fun and constant messing around—takes the movie to a whole different level
plus we polished off about two pounds of carrots along the way😂
Sean Patel4 said:So there's this scene where Bed Guy hides behind a counter and Clive can't hit him, so he shoots his buddy instead. The buddy hits the floor, then gets shot again in the hand which is now pointing right at Bed Guy behind the counter, and then the guy actually shoots his buddy's hand, causing a reflex shot that finally nails the derp hiding behind the counter. Unbelievable. Never seen anything like it!!! 😁
man, that's honestly how your comment came across—like you just sat through some heavy Oscar contender and felt the need to give it a review. ugh, this is just stupid. the whole genre is basically just pure chaos; you either get the vibe or you don't. your take was just totally out of place and unnecessary 🙂
Raymond Palmer8 said:God, what an absolute dumpster fire. Honestly, thank god I was buzzed enough on a few drinks, otherwise I would’ve ripped the disc right out of the player... seriously, they're asking for total audience buy-in here...guy's got a baby in his arms...man, just go win a gold medal in handball for Team USA...just do it... pure garbage.
lol, what a brainless take... 😂 Look, if you're that dense, maybe don't watch stuff like this—if you can't handle obvious satire and massive over-the-top exaggeration. It's trash, sure, but like, the good kind of trash next time, feel free to rip the movie out of the player and hand it to someone who actually gets a joke 👍
Caught this a few months back... and honestly, I lost my mind...
The director is a complete hack who clearly went out of his way to ruin everything that actually worked in the first movie...
From the ultra-lame jokes that even a middle schooler would find cringey, to the sloppy execution, terrible acting, nonsensical plot, and bottom-tier special effects—it’s easily one of the worst films ever made. 🤮
So, here's my advice: if you actually liked the original, just DO NOT WATCH the sequel...
Honestly, most movies... though lately, two really stick in my mind—Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End and Spider-Man 3. Both had killer trailers, amazing visuals, fights that actually hurt to watch, cool characters—just phenomenal. I remember us all commenting, "Holy crap, this is gonna be insane, it's gonna be legendary."
But man, they were both just massive disappointments... It pisses me off even thinking about how hyped I was for Venom, only for them to show that idiot who spends the whole time peeling back the Venom face just to make stupid expressions, and then the rest of that mess... just killing people for no reason...
Here is something ten times more brilliant than the actual movie—all packed into the trailer. http://youtube.com/watch?v=HoNgMVFQNBI
Just popped it on and watched after seeing this thread... Honestly, the movie was a slog. Just your typical story about some soldier who’s seen way too much shit and loses his mind because of it. No job, no peace, no chance at finding any kind of happiness even though he’s just looking for the simplest things, and then everything just falls apart. It was kind of exhausting to sit through; I was honestly just waiting for it to wrap up or for things to just fly by, or maybe hoping it would just go full-on brutal mode... But nah, by the end I was just sitting there thinking, really? Did they have to have him die off like that? Way too predictable. All in all, it wasn't really my thing.
Caught this a few days ago. Honestly? It was a blast. Just pure chaos—this guy escapes through a crowd of like 500 to 1,500 people while constantly ranting about how guns are the worst thing ever. 😂 And that sex scene... 🙏 🙏 plus Monica 😍 Seriously killer movie. 👍
I mean, there's some stuff where people get their brains smeared on the walls and a few swords through the gut or skull, but it’s not like, overly gory or anything 🙂
Yeah, the guy’s got serious charisma, even if I can't quite put my finger on why... and his co-star? Absolutely stunning. Honestly, if they’d just leaned into the brutality a bit more—made him feel like a legitimate, cold-blooded killer instead of this polished, somewhat "normal" hitman type—the movie would've been legendary.
Just finished watching... It's actually good. Honestly, I might even go as far as saying it’s the best adaptation of a game out there right now. Doesn't look cheap at all, the lead is killer, and the plot holds up—it's like Jason Bourne, except instead of being some soft pushover, he actually knows how to handle himself.🙏
My one gripe is that it feels a bit too talky. I mean, whatever, inevitable since we're following the main guy, but my real issue is how they did the whole female character thing. It's such a tired action movie trope... even she basically admitted there was zero reason to keep her alive... I mean, just let him finish the job already. It felt so awkward. If he had just professionally taken her out at the end, the movie would've been freaking amazing... but nope, everything just leans into those same old clichés... Still, the movie is pretty damn solid.👍
I watched the first one and thought it was great. Everyone says the sequel is the best and the third one is total trash. As for the fourth... I haven't seen it yet. But if it's got a 7.0 on IMDb, it's probably worth a watch...
heh... so basically "this movie is my favorite because they realized what a total mess they made of the franchise, so they just leaned into the absurdity"😁
I mean, I get 🙂
but you can't deny that if the first one had more decent jokes and a bit more humor mixed in, it might've actually been the best film in the series... the setting and the vibe of that first one had enough potential to be a genuinely solid movie... too bad it didn't happen, probably because they handed the reins to some hack director, and well, that sucks... guess we'll see what happens next year and how they wrap things up... maybe an ending... probably not 😛
man... fine, I'll just take that as your personal taste, but personally, I don't see how the third one could even be remotely okay...
the first one was actually a decent little romp; it followed the plot reasonably well, had a decent twist, and the ending was predictable and totally in line with the vibe of Resident Evil 4... nothing brilliant, nothing crazy, just some fun trash you can easily zone out to...
but then this later stuff... man, it looks to me like the directors were just tripping over themselves because Milla wanted to star in it, so they built the entire scripts for 2 and 3 just to force her character forward—like she’s this absolute goddess, totally insane, perfect, amazing, blah blah blah...
hey... seriously, what the hell? what does any of this have to do with anything? did everyone just completely forget WHAT IT WAS?? SURVIVAL HORROR!! while the first one kind of stuck to the recipe—you know, she's gonna bolt, but even she gets wrecked at the end, people run and die like idiots just like they should—this just turned into some retarded comedy... in the second one, she’s squaring off with Nemesis, crushing helicopters, killing people with telekinesis, tossing motorcycles through an entire church, blah blah blah... honestly, watching it is exhausting. It's supposed to be "gore-heavy," and it's IMPLIED that everything living is getting slaughtered... there's zero survival here, just mindless chaos and that's it. Wow, they even KILLED her off, only to show two minutes later that it doesn't matter because she's so overpowered she can't even stay dead.
And even Mila-Fantasy, which peaked in the third one, where the directors clearly ran out of ways to worship her character, so they just made a MILLION more of them. Then in the fourth, she'll probably use an army of clones to wreck Umbrella, slaughter 6 BILLION zombies, find some cat to hang out with so all 300 million Millas can blow up with him and repopulate the planet so everyone is cool and happy again, and yeah, Mila saved the world.
But putting all that Mila nonsense aside, let's look at the third one—to me, it’s got the most brain-dead script and execution out of the whole lot. Just awful...
I mean, five *5!!! years have passed, and everything looks worse than after a nuclear apocalypse (if they'd actually included one, maybe it would make sense), but everything looks like three centuries went by. Total nonsense, like that fight at the start, and the rest just boils down to intense clichés—how everyone is such a sweetheart, how a character who gets bitten will obviously keep it a secret instead of just shooting themselves in the head right then and there, how the bad guy is so bad his dad is Bush, and how the Umbrella boss is this big shot who uses a "Just Do It" ad to promote Nike, basically explaining how Umbrella is actually the future Nike corporation that conquered the world with bionic sneakers, yay. And then, of course, we get our hero who can be controlled via satellite, fly, use telekinesis, whatever, along with a bunch of evil zombie kids who kill everything except the hero and some innocent little kids heading to the promised land of Alaska, which is apparently too far away for the virus to reach...
a true masterpiece of screenwriting and acting, really... 😂
man, the footage isn't even that bad for a security cam version, just has some focus issues with the characters and he had to dodge the cameras from security a couple of times during the movie, so it's basically just audio, lol, but whatever, not like it matters much...
so, I saw Saw III in theaters and told myself there's no way I'm wasting more money on this franchise. I straight up fell asleep—honestly one of the most boring movies ever made. now with Saw4 I'm thinking maybe it's not quite as dull, but it's the same old trick—just a total repeat. It feels like most people only watch these just to see the different ways they get butchered because the studio has run out of ideas for better flicks—so Saw4 kicks off with an autopsy, and they really pushed those details, everything is laid out right there in front of you, which is supposed to be terrifying, lol...
I don't know, Saw was good. You actually got to know two characters and their backstory, and the other traps kept you hooked for a second just to see what was happening, which was great...
all the others are just getting stupider by the minute. They try to kill off as many people as possible, but the audience couldn't care less about the characters or when they're gonna kick the bucket; we just want to see the method. And it's totally dumb how they follow the exact same recipe every single step—you know from the start they've scrambled everything so you can't figure anything out just to "surprise" you at the end, but you can do that once. By the third time, you aren't even trying to solve it, you're just waiting for the end to go, "aha, okay, done..." but the ending of 4 is just ridiculous. It's like they had a chalkboard that said "we ran out of ideas, just throw something in here."
and on top of all that, they hammered the same line twice during the movie just to shove it down your throat that 5 is coming. 🙄
shooting them in the head would've been better, they already messed up part 4... lost an hour and a half of my life, but whatever... what can I even say... they basically just pulled it out of thin air everything’s been sold off, everything's recycled. It's boring as hell. They really think it's "so cool" how they keep throwing in stuff from old sequels, but it's all so uninspired that you can't even remember who did what or why any of it matters...
stupid ending through and through, and of course, they gotta announce part 5 right away... 🙂
