Resident Evil: Degeneration (2008) in Movies ·
Looks alright enough.
It wasn't exactly a bad call on their part to try an animated version of Resident Evil.
We'll just have to wait and see how it actually turns out.
Personally, I've never been much of an animation guy, but this might actually work.

For instance, according to reports here and over at ain't cool news, there were claims that Fox was actually considering shutting down the entire production mid-shoot, despite having already sunk well over $100 million into it.

Clearly, we can expect something truly "special" from this one. 😱

We'll just have to wait and see how this all plays out when it finally drops.🙂

impressive 🙂
I'm just waiting on the trailer...
By the way, I'm with Diact on this one; the English dubbing feels so watered down it's almost painful. You really need to grab the Japanese version with English subtitles. The original audio makes the fights hit much harder. I don't need some generic rock track playing over the action when I'm trying to watch a fight.

I'm with you on that.😉
The English dubs completely ruin the whole experience.

loneviper15 said:Honestly, this is the one anime where I feel like the English dub actually holds its own against the original Japanese audio. In fact, there are some episodes where I think the English version is even better!

How do you think this stacks up against the Japanese standard?

Frank Moore4 said:Back in the day, those old Clone Wars episodes were incredibly short—we’re talking maybe three or four minutes at most per segment. 😁 You probably sat through the entire old Clone Wars run, those two massive feature-length episodes. 😬

Three to four minutes? That’s it? I don't know, seems a bit rushed to me.😁

So, for some reason, my file is just showing up as Clone Wars Vol 1 and 2. 😬
I honestly thought there were more of them left.😁

I'm actually pretty curious to see how these new episodes of The Clone Wars turn out.
I’m guessing the plot is going to follow the same old patterns we saw in the previous installments.

Well, then that's totally fine.
The old Clone Wars episodes usually run about 70 minutes each.

Ronald Gonzalez31 said:Does anyone know if these guys are going to dub this movie for theaters?🤷 If they do, I'll just download it.

It’ll probably be both.
Up until now, there have been plenty of animated movies that were dubbed and some that weren't.

But I wouldn't watch Star Wars: The Clone Wars dubbed. It just doesn't feel original and it ruins the whole vibe.

Frank Moore4 said:Well, the premiere for the first two episodes isn't even until October 2nd. I haven't seen any kind of leak or preview...

Or are you talking about the old Clone Wars?

Probably referring to the old Clone Wars then.
Those are good too.

I didn't realize the premiere wasn't until October 2nd.
How long are the episodes supposed to be?

I just sat through two episodes of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and I have to say, it’s actually pretty solid.
The writing is holding up well for me.🙂

Honestly, I think he'd nail it. It feels like one of those roles that just fits him perfectly.

Anthony Smith3 said:If you look at how critics and audiences actually received the movie, it definitely exceeded expectations... we're looking at roughly a 60% on Rotten Tomatoes and a 6.4/10 over on IMDb...

Honestly, those are pretty decent scores to start with.

Since he's behind it, I'm sure it'll turn out great.
I didn't see anything on that page about who they've cast as Freddy.

It actually has potential.
The big question is who they'll cast to step into Robert Englund's shoes.

Chris Palmer3 said:If briskbison41 would let me jump in and answer this for him (which you probably would, right 😬)...

Setting aside Timberlake and how great he looks in that "four minutes" music video, this whole idea that an actor's presence dictates movie quality has nothing to do with the stuff we were talking about earlier. It’s really just that Fraser is an actor who follows a specific niche and sticks to it. Most of his roles are pretty much the same—he plays these slightly confused, fairly intelligent, yet eccentric characters who constantly stumble into trouble, which is exactly what fans of lighthearted comedies are looking for. His characters provide their own comic relief. So, when you watch one of his movies, you basically know exactly what kind of ride you're getting based on his previous work.

And honestly? Yeah, I do sometimes pick a movie just because of the lead. If I see Jack Nicholson is in the cast, I’m assuming there's at least some level of quality involved.

Casting is a huge indicator of a film's caliber. Sure, there are exceptions, but personally, when I’m deciding what to watch, I rely on actors who have a track record of making smart choices about the projects they sign onto.

Anyway, feel free to weigh in.😉

As for everything else, I'm just echoing what was said word for word.😉
I couldn't have put it better myself.

Hands down one of the best horror flicks ever made.
Apparently, they’re already cooking up a sequel.

Samuel Ortiz3 said:Look, I already said it—the movie isn't anything groundbreaking. It’s pretty formulaic, but it's worth a watch if you want something standard. A solid family flick.

I'm with you there; it definitely fits that family movie mold.
Personally, I think it'll turn out alright. Worth checking out.

Samuel Ortiz3 said:It’s really everything, starting with the dialogue—especially those comic relief bits. I mean, nobody expects anything beyond typical Hollywood nonsense, and that alone practically guarantees a pile of clichés.

You have a point in some ways, but you have to consider that the lead is B. Fraser.
If you're okay with him being the face of the movie, then I don't see why the rest of the film wouldn't work for you.

It’s easily one of my favorites.
Word is the movie is actually going to be well-made.
