Journey to the Center of the Earth (2008) in Movies ·
Samuel Ortiz3 said:Are you serious? I had no idea they even released that in 3D. Honestly, if anything, that should have been the one thing that stuck in my mind. I mean, the movie is just one massive pile of clichés, but hey, it's still worth a watch if you have the time.

Why is that?

shadowjackal27 said:Personally, I wouldn't go so far as to say those two movies are weak horror films. They’re actually pretty heavy-hitting, at least from a psychological standpoint. The plots really make you stop and wonder if that kind of thing could actually happen to anyone. I remember seeing an article online about actual cases where parents killed their own child because they were convinced the kid was possessed by a demon. Plus, everyone knows there are plenty of documented cases involving possession out there...

That's exactly why they're scary—because you know this stuff exists or has happened in real life somewhere.

Sure, they stand out psychologically, and true horror is way more engaging anyway (if you ask me).
As for the whole possession thing, yeah, it happens in the world, but that isn't exactly a reason to live in fear.
You're probably scared because you think it could happen to you, but what are the odds of you specifically being possessed by a demon? Honestly, zero.

Psycho vs The Shining... hmm.
Honestly, both of them are pretty weak when it comes to horror, but if I had to pick one that actually stands out, I'd go with Rosemary's Baby.
And yeah, I'm with you on Omen.

I think you could probably track it down on IMDb if you really wanted to.
I didn't bother looking there myself, though.

This just came from some other site I was browsing.

Cheers😉

I hadn't even heard of this movie before, but since it stars Van Damme, it might actually be worth a watch.🙂

At the Max Payne premiere

I've got a gut feeling this is going to be good, even if it strays pretty far from the original version.

This whole thread really ought to be saved as a PDF movie file.☕

Anthony Smith3 said:I mean, come on... he’s got that perfect look for a villain, doesn't he? Hehe.😁

Look, if this thing pulls in what the first two did—we're talking $25 million for the first and $43 million for the second—and considering the budget isn't exactly massive, maybe sitting around the $30 million mark, then yeah, we’re looking at a win. It’ll be a success.

When it comes to the cars... I've seen people on some forums claiming it's an S8... personally, I wouldn't know for sure. I don't really know my way around cars that well, haha.

If I recall correctly, he’s got some series where he plays a cop.🤔

It’s probably going to be a hit. If I recall correctly, those first two movies were massive successes at the box office, so they've already got the momentum.

I saw the comments on YouTube about that car myself. You've got one group swearing it's an A8, while the other side is dead set on it being an S8.😁..(🙂)

So T-Bag is playing the bad guy in transporter too?😁...nice.
From what I can tell in the trailer, he looks solid.
We'll just have to wait and see how it performs at the US box office during its opening weekend.🙂

Btw, is that an Audi S8 in the movie?

Anthony Smith3 said:Look, 80% of the audience and critics are out here saying it's great, but honestly, I couldn't even wrap my head around why. I barely made it to the end because the shaky camera work was driving me nuts, the editing was way too frantic, and that disappointing finale didn't reveal a single thing we hadn't already picked up on in the second installment. Usually, I’m pretty easygoing—I’ll watch just about anything and I'm not nearly as picky as most viewers—but this one? The second movie was miles better. There was really only one part of the third one that actually worked for me... that scene at the station where Warren directs someone over a cell phone to dodge the agents. That was cool. Everything else was just... irritating.
But hey, take the risk and see for yourself... maybe you'll dig it.😉

I can't stand that shaky cam and rushed editing either.
Sometimes it feels like all the actual action in the movie is just everything they crammed into the trailer and nothing more.
I'll definitely give it a watch someday.😉

Anthony Smith3 said:Honestly... even though everyone seems to be hyping it up more or less, if you're asking me, I'd recommend the Bourne-esque third one the least. The camerawork, the editing—and by extension, the directing—is just a mess. Not to mention how we spend half the runtime catching up on stuff from the previous movie without even realizing it until we're already there. Stick to the first film, and especially the second one... that's plenty for me. The third one doesn't reveal anything you didn't already pick up in the first two.

So the third one sucks?
hm... the trailer looks pretty solid, but a trailer isn't always what the actual movie turns out to be.

Well, Sean Penn in "Bad Boys", then that final blowout in "The Wanderers"
To be more on that bad boys

Which "Bad Boys" are you talking about?🤔

''The Matrix Reloaded'', that park fight between Neo and Agent Smith.

I definitely need to sit down and watch at least three of them.

The movie is genuinely great, and honestly, the cast is just spot on for this kind of thing.
I’m definitely planning to catch the sequel, too—apparently, they're calling it Ocean's Twelve.🙂
