Is it just me, or does the energy of the fan base completely shift once the deadline passes? It feels like we’re just sitting around waiting for the dominoes to fall. One minute everything seems set, and the next, you're staring at a roster that looks like a giant question mark.

I remember a few seasons back when we thought we had the rotation locked down, only to realize we were basically building a house of cards. It’s that weird limbo period where you're trying to project the future while the current reality is still shifting under your feet. You want to be optimistic, but you also don't want to get your hopes up too early before the actual moves are made.

Do you guys think we should be looking for established veterans to stabilize things, or is it time to finally lean into the youth movement?
FIFA Women's World Cup 2023 in Soccer ·
Major league teams are folding their B-teams because there's just no money in it... yet you insist on dumping cash into something that lacks any economic foundation from day one. That’s where the argument ends. Let's look at the reality here. We have men's soccer, and ninety percent of the people in the stands are men. So, why aren't women watching women's soccer? Is it because they'd rather spend their time obsessing over some guy like Joško Gvardiol? It’s quite simple. Nobody cares. Senior-level professional women's soccer is playing at the same level as fifteen-year-old boys. Why? Because those fifteen-year-old kids could dismantle those top-tier American women with ease. And don't even get me started on the financials. Now you want to force some second-division club that is barely keeping its head above water to shoulder the mandatory cost of running women's teams? Given how things work in the US, if we had women's clubs, would they be forced to maintain a men's side too? What then?

Christian Miller48 said:You’ve missed the mark on several fronts. The Rose Bowl and the way the Chicago Blackhawks fans are treated? Irrelevant. And naturally, no one is blaming the Chicago Blackhawks fans for what happened to the massive fan groups. The core issue here is the complete lack of solidarity—something some people clearly expected. Right now, that silence is being viewed as a negative.
But whatever. It’s all just noise. What matters is whether we actually learn something from this. Because I’ll say it again: it’s only a matter of time before someone in the stands loses their mind during a confrontation with the police.

Support was shown at the game, and even on the official social media pages... what exactly do you want? For the BBB to carry you straight to jail? This situation just proves how much everyone has grown accustomed to this kind of treatment. Honestly, half the game should have been spent with the BBB chanting specifically for you if they really cared.

Jamaica vs Panama
What a match. Honestly, there were moments that felt borderline comedic, didn't they?
But in the end, both sides just completely fell apart.
It was some real old-school football—pure and simple.😁 A breath of fresh air, frankly, compared to the way Uruguay and Argentina have been playing lately.

It seems to me that none of us are even remotely aware of what’s actually happening behind the scenes here... we are looking at a multi-million dollar business where several "cartels" have established their grip.
He only crawled back out of fear because they clearly started tearing him apart.
edit. It’s truly pathetic to live in a country where mamica is only ever afraid of an opposing "gang."

Everything seems perfectly fine until that German guy gets stabbed in the face with a needle after his injury....from that moment on, it’s just some kids' movie

Just circling back to that discussion from a few days ago. It seems they are absolutely miserable about being stuck in Canada. Is everything just constantly shifting these days?

What do you all think about 🍿
Lady Bird (2017) in Movies ·
This movie... paired with a cloudy Sunday afternoon, some heat lightning, and distant thunder, it’s just perfect... the characters are so deeply layered... honestly, they can drive you absolutely insane sometimes... usually, her husband is sitting right there, acting as this heavy, looming shadow 😁 of her life, yet their dynamic is portrayed so brilliantly... there's a subtle thread of humor woven throughout... it's just a grounded, honest family story that anyone could relate to... or at least know someone who does... refreshing, engaging, and the acting is top-tier... 8/10
edit. After the credits rolled, I actually felt a sense of regret that it was over... things are about to get pretty chaotic at NYU 😁
The Cloverfield Paradox (2018) in Movies ·
Cloverfield has been such a breath of fresh air since it arrived... at least if you ask me... especially coming from Netflix... which has been hitting out of the park lately with both films and series... creating this very specific kind of atmosphere... I'm hoping for at least a 7/10 😁

As for me, the first film fell into that category of movies you pop on after work just to drift off halfway through... and I did that ten times over. It served its purpose perfectly. And will there be a sequel? Without a doubt, it'll be worth watching.🙂
Fifty Shades of Grey (2016) in Movies ·
More irritating than anything I’ve sat through in the last decade....
I actually found myself turning off the TV halfway through just because I was so on edge... but honestly? It was just pure frustration at how much they were dragging their feet...
This movie really shouldn't have dragged on for more than 55 minutes... what an absolute slog. And just when I finally thought it was over, the screen went pitch black... I found myself thinking, thank God, once that final knockout scene with the kids actually happened 😁
When I look back at the first film and how much I stood against the system, by the end, they had me wanting nothing more than for Snow to be completely wiped out...
What kind of scenes are we even talking about? There's four minutes of Jennifer walking through that house, stepping out, stepping back in, then bumping into that idiot who says, "I picked up some wildflowers at the edge of the woods," if those were even wildflowers... and that entire sequence takes up seven minutes of the runtime...
She really should have just used that little trolley on the kids image

God, I’m looking at this and it honestly gives me chills... We are outnumbered, the opposition is armed... and what do I see here? A full-on brawl. It looks like they might actually have to back off a bit, while our guys just stand their ground and fight...
Maybe they took a beating down there... but look at that mindset. People are getting stabbed with knives...

I’m not entirely certain what the legalities are here, so if anyone could provide some clarity...
The owner of Los Angeles FC is currently under investigation by the DOJ, yet I see him sitting there quite nonchalantly during the group draws... Is he even allowed to leave the country?
What's the best horror movie franchise? in Movies ·
Perhaps it isn't strictly vital for the horror genre, 😁 but Friday the 13th featured such incredibly well-crafted women. 😁 By today's standards, one might call that "vintage"...

If we are defining horror, then I will say it in all caps—ABOVE ALL ELSE, THE ALIEN FRANCHISE!!!! 😁
I used to have a real soft spot for SAW and Hellraiser. 👍
edit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wnPJ...VJsr5J_DhB4zkN Perfect. Simply perfect!!!!!
The moment I download this, it's over. I'll probably end up watching it 2,625,425,653 times tonight. 🙂

Jose Kern11 said:Have you even stopped to wonder why it’s like this? In my view, it’s because there are only 200 of you; they can do whatever they want to you. They can't just walk over us because we have numbers on our side—we could shut down the entire police force without breaking a sweat. Honestly, none of you would even dare try that right now.

It’s practically overflowing from top to bottom http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=64jPmBcKV2w and then they just move in... and that was with gear half as advanced as what they're carrying today... when there's actual will, anything is possible.

I don't want to sound like a lawyer here... I'm trying to be reasonable... but honestly, the situation in New York City is arguably at its absolute worst. They intentionally leave just one single entrance open... they funnel everyone into this tiny bottleneck... and then you have people shoving, stripping down, getting dressed—it looks exactly like a department store right before Christmas when crowds are swarming the fitting rooms 😁. On top of that, they arrest massive groups of people before the game for no reason at all, while those who aren't targeted end up getting crushed at the gate because they're on some imaginary blacklist. You’ve got security guards every few feet breathing down your neck because you dared to stand on the stairs. If you try to move away, the police swoop in and haul you off. And once things actually get heated inside? As a rule, the cops charge right in. I don't know how things are for you guys in St. Louis, but in New York City, the police are constantly on edge, aggressive, and standing there with their tear gas. I'm not saying it isn't tough for the NFL Ultras either... what happened at the cup meeting the other day was horrific... but for us, this is constant. It happens at every home game. Eventually, it starts feeling suicidal just to try and enter the stadium. It isn't even rare to see the police raiding local bars after the match, arresting people left and right. One day, playing against a team like the Dodgers, if you don't have an ID on you, you aren't getting through the gates. Then, after a while, they just lock the ticket booths and claim everything is sold out 😁... good luck to everyone, both sides 😁
