Help! Period emergency! in Women's Health ·
It’s honestly eye-opening sometimes just how much some women refuse to take responsibility for themselves...
How can you even sleep at night knowing there might be something inside you that could completely derail your entire life?
For God's sake, women, you're out here risking sepsis and God knows what other terrifying illnesses...
I genuinely don't know how to react to someone being so casual about this. I'm actually heading in for my appointment this Tuesday...
Let's just hope I haven't waited too long...
Christian Williams5 said:I’d really appreciate it if anyone who has actually tried those Tonalin CLA ULTRA weight loss pills
from DietPharma could share their experience. Thanks.

I haven't personally tried them, but I'm pretty sure they're just a waste of money...
I mean, don't get me wrong, they might work, but without a solid diet and some actual exercise? Nothing happens.
It would be nice if we could all just feast on greasy burgers and fries and then pop a pill to erase it all, wouldn't it?
But the reality is that losing weight always requires some level of sacrifice.
Good luck out there...

I honestly think you’re just overthinking this and spiraling for no reason... I already told you this... now you’re just scrolling through these "expert" posts and making yourself even more anxious.
It’s obvious you’ve thrown your system out of whack—when things get this messy, your body chemistry gets a little scrambled too.
You aren't going to feel any better until you actually calm down.
And regarding what you said about waiting a few days... give yourself some breathing room. Maybe wait until Wednesday? It’s the weekend, after all. Just try to decompress. If nothing happens by then, then you deal with the test result and go from there.
Whatever the outcome is...
Whether it’s a positive or a negative, you should take the results to your OB-GYN. They’re the ones who can tell you exactly how to manage your medication or whatever else you need to do next.

Just take a breath and step away from this forum for a bit.
It isn't helping you. We’re all just sharing our own individual experiences here, and no two women are exactly alike. Reading all these different stories is only going to confuse you and send you down the wrong path, which is the last thing you need right now.

I’d like to jump in here regarding the whole topic of birth control and the anxiety surrounding it...
Since last November, I’ve been on Logitech, which has one of the lowest hormone levels out there—though I know some girls will argue that Yasmin is actually the lower-dose option.
Ever since I started taking them, it feels like they aren't even there. It’s just one more thing on my to-do list: take the pill first thing when I wake up, and then I'm good to go. I check twice a day just to make sure I didn't miss it, but honestly, I sleep soundly knowing I'm covered sexually, regardless of the timing or the day.

I haven't dealt with any side effects at all. I haven't gained an abnormal amount of weight, I don't feel bloated, and I'm not irritable; if anything, it's been the exact opposite.
It's never been easier for me to maintain my weight or lose a few pounds, especially now heading into summer.😁
My face and skin are incredibly smooth—completely clear of breakouts or bumps.
My PMS is much milder, and my period itself is barely noticeable; it lasts about four or five days now, compared to the six or seven days it used to be.
The cramps are negligible...
They have been a huge help to me.
Of course, if someone is feeling fearful, they should just sit down and talk to their gynecologist. They can answer every possible question and prescribe the specific pill that fits your unique health profile. There's really no reason to be afraid.
Ever since I switched to Logitech, I’ve felt totally relaxed regarding intimacy and everything else.
I realize you shouldn't just play around with these medications, but then again, what is "good" these days?
Pills aren't what they used to be either; older generations were loaded with hormones and God knows what else, leaving women completely deregulated once they started.
That said, I firmly believe every woman should stop taking them at least six months before trying to get pregnant.
😉

You really should have looked that up before you jumped into it...

It isn't like these pills are going to cause any major or lasting complications; the hormones will eventually level out.
That said, I would definitely feel a whole lot more at peace once my cycle finally starts.

Not me,,,
Ever since I started taking Logest, I’ve become incredibly strict about my routine. I take it first thing in the morning the second I wake up. Even when we're traveling, I tuck them right into my wallet—it’s the only way I can be certain I won't leave them sitting on the nightstand back home.

I can only imagine what you're going through right now and how you're feeling... but please, try not to panic.
If you aren't absolutely sure, just give it a few more days before you take a pregnancy test.
And if your period still doesn't show up, go see your OB-GYN... talk to them. It isn't going to kill you; they are there to help you, prevent any complications, and hopefully give you some solid advice to help you settle your nerves.

Don't sweat it...😉

It’s almost like you're sabotaging yourself with all this military simulation stuff... maybe it's all just psychological at this point.
The test came back negative... you'll definitely get it eventually.
And as for your libido... honestly, it's completely normal. People change.
Maybe it's because of all those pills... I couldn't say for sure.
What is happening to me? in Women's Health ·
Honestly, I feel like you’re totally losing it on me right now... but seriously, I don't know the first thing about those kinds of prescription pills you're taking. I have no clue what kind of side effects they could actually cause.
I still think you aren't pregnant and that everything is going to turn out fine in the end..😉
What is happening to me? in Women's Health ·
Now you’ve actually got me scratching my head too... ugh, I'm lost...
I suppose everything will work out in the end...🙄

You really shouldn't mess around with those pills, though. Hopefully, you'll be able to make something useful out of this situation...
Good luck.

Look, if you ask me, you haven't messed anything up yet.

I don't know... I’ve seen girls who want to push their cycle back by a few days, so they just keep taking a different pack without any break...
and then once they stop taking them, the period starts.
I really don't think there's any reason to panic here.
As for the fact that you forgot to take your pill and now you're running late...🙄
I can't say for sure, but you'll definitely get your period eventually.

🙄

I’ve been reading through this thread, and honestly, I feel terrible for her...🙄

She’s basically digging around in her own mess, running back and forth from the bathroom to her bedroom feeling completely defeated...
Why doesn't she just try using a vacuum?🙄
It’s really her only option at this point. She can’t handle it herself, she won't let her boyfriend help, and she's too intimidated by her mother-in-law...😢
Cream split? in Health ·
So, here's the deal... about two months ago, I decided to try one of those smart anti-perspirant products for the first time... a Washington cream...
Basically, this stuff is marketed as a two-week treatment, and once you finish, the sweating is supposed to be under control. Hopefully, at least—it might not stop completely, but it shouldn't be excessive..🙄
Of course, I followed the instructions to a T for those two weeks... then I stopped using it... and absolutely nothing changed..
The instructions they provide just don't seem to hold water...

I remember my aunt recommending this specific cream to me; she mentioned she uses it every single day... so, why shouldn't I?
Based on my experience after finishing the initial treatment and seeing zero improvement... I've started using it daily too..
I apply it in the morning and can go through the whole day without any worries...

So now I'm curious what you all think about using it on a daily basis...
I don't want to play doctor here, but I suspect it works similarly to a standard spray or roll-on... whatever else is out there...
Personally, I find applying a tiny drop of cream much more pleasant than dousing myself in half a liter of deodorant..

I realize it might not be the healthiest thing... whatever you use... whether it's a heavy cream, a spray, etc...

And just to be clear, I know that stopping your body from sweating isn't necessarily "good," and I'm definitely not trying to do that. I still sweat—which is perfectly normal—it's just not nearly as much as it used to be...

Anyway, I'd love to hear from anyone with more experience here...
mistyranger51 said:I’ve been dealing with some initial kidney issues for about 28 years now. To be specific, I have persistent proteinuria that hasn't changed or progressed in nearly three decades. Based on what I'm seeing, it seems like this is being driven by anemia.

If only I had actually gone through all that medical school training...😢
You really are quite a pitiful case, aren't you?
It’ll get better. It really will.
mistyranger51 said:I only just noticed some dark circles under my eyes in a few photos today. I’ve been dealing with anemia and protein in my urine. Could those be the cause, or could it be something else altogether?

I'm not entirely sure what protein in the urine implies, but you definitely have enough reason to worry about the anemia...😢>
Nancy Ortiz23 said:Well, look at you... you’ve gone completely pale. 😢Give me a break... I’ve honestly reached my breaking point with all of this. It’s exhausting. Honestly, it feels like our generation is made of sugar—just soft, fragile, and constantly buckling under every little thing. It’s actually embarrassing to admit, especially when I look at the sheer number of issues I'm already dealing with before I've even had kids or truly started my adult life. That said, I am definitely going to see a specialist regarding my kidneys. As for everything else? I’ll try to consult with my doctor, assuming I can actually catch her while she’s actually sober and focused.

Honestly, I feel that same sense of embarrassment whenever I have to sit down with someone older and actually walk them through everything that’s going on in my life. It's like there's this awkward barrier you hit when you realize how much you have to explain just to get them up to speed.
Give me a break. It’s not like I’m made of sugar or anything.🙄

Look, if you’re actually having kidney issues, stop messing around and go see a doctor immediately. Don't play games with your health. Personally, I deal with bladder irritation quite often, but I rarely feel actual pain in my kidneys—though when I do feel it, it’s definitely noticeable. Even so, I'm not running to the ER every single time it happens, but you really shouldn't take chances if the problem is deeper.
To be honest, I’m pretty terrified.
It’s that same old feeling, isn't it? That nagging sense of doubt that keeps creeping in—wondering if any of this actually matters, or if we're all just spinning our wheels for nothing.🙄
Nancy Ortiz23 said:And honestly... I was just wondering about my iron levels lately... I have absolutely no clue! My circulation is basically non-existent. All those makeup tricks don't really cut it either; they're always visible if you look closely. Even if I tried to tell myself I was just being self-critical, looking at recent photos proves otherwise—and a few people have actually pointed out that I look exhausted. It’s really getting to me... quite a bit... ;(

Don't even get me started on the winter... my apartment feels like a frozen wasteland and I'm constantly shivering.
You eventually get used to it, I guess,
but you really need to see a doctor... playing around with your blood chemistry isn't a game. I deal with chronic anemia... which isn't exactly something to brag about, though I suppose it could be much worse.
I get constant dizzy spells, paleness, and nausea out of nowhere.
And then there's the dark circles under my eyes, obviously.
Even when I try to cover them up, I can only dull them down slightly... they're still right there.
The other night I slept for maybe three hours and they looked exactly the same, so I know it's not just from lack of sleep.
As for the fatigue... don't even ask.
Just doing a single load of dishes makes me feel like I've run a marathon. But what can you do? That's just my hand to play.
Hopefully, things will improve eventually.
But seriously, go to a doctor before it's too late, like I did.
If I had started taking supplements the moment I noticed symptoms, I wouldn't be practically a walking corpse right now. My blood is pinkish instead of red... it's pretty grim to look at.😢
Sometimes I find myself staring at my veins, wondering if they're getting more prominent because of it.
Nancy Ortiz23 said:I don't see any real difference in the upper area, but the bottom part looks significantly darker now!

Honestly, I’ve had dark circles under my eyes for as long as I can remember...
it’s just how things are...
but whatever, you get used to it. A bit of concealer and you’re good to go...
Seeing a doctor probably wouldn't help much either; they won't give you a definitive answer anyway...
I think I have thin blood—likely an iron deficiency...
And while my kidneys are fine, I deal with some bladder issues...
🙄
It all just comes down to that sort of thing...🙄

They go by the name Ferum...
I’m not entirely sure if they carry this specific brand here in the States... maybe they’re more common over in Switzerland or somewhere else...
Anyway, I’m starting my very last pack today... so we’ll see what the bloodwork looks like in two weeks. I’m hoping for an improvement, though honestly, I’m not holding my breath.😢

mellowmason53 said:Well, my iron levels hit 2 as well... but thankfully they aren't there anymore.🙂
@ swiftmason8: if you can't stomach those pills, why don't your doctors just switch you to something else?
you really need to take vitamin C alongside iron because it boosts absorption—basically, it makes sure your body actually uses what you're taking.

I can manage one a day... but two is absolutely out of the question.
I honestly can't tell if I feel worse with them or without them.
Without them, I'm miserable; I lose my appetite, I get dizzy, and the fatigue is constant. But when I take them, it’s like being stuck inside a literal snail shell, 😢, nausea after every single meal, and feeling drowsy 24 hours a day. On top of all that, I have my doubts about whether they'll even work. I'll see how things look in a month, but right now, I'm just struggling.😢
