Andrew Ward9 said:Hello👋! Just wanted to note that as of today, this thread has gained another member dealing with the exact same struggle. 🙂. I’ve been following the discussions here for over a year now, and I honestly feel Chris Morgan67 has provided the most insightful responses... so, thank you for that 👏 .
I've been battling psoriasis for about six years. Fortunately, I have the "mild version," mostly just below my knees and a bit on my arms. This summer, it almost cleared up entirely; my arms are fine now, and there's very little left on my legs. I'm hoping to make it through the winter in the same state.
Earlier this spring, I tried turmeric capsules and Optoderm cream for three months, but I didn't see much of a difference. Then, I stopped using the creams over the summer and suddenly, things improved significantly! I'm not sure if it was the supplements or if the summer sun and ocean air played the bigger role. We'll see when winter arrives—if things take a turn for the worse, I'll know the beach was responsible for my progress.

Best to everyone here, and a special shoutout toChris Morgan67!!

Thank you so much for the kind words🙂 😘

I can't write much right now, but I'll be back to posting regularly in a few weeks

Robert Smith6 said:Chris Morgan67, I truly admire how you managed to overcome this illness. You deserve credit for your persistence; only those who have lived through it understand. Personally, I struggled with this for over a year, and only now can I say I've finally moved past it...🙂.......
thanks for the advice on using oils; I've started that "therapy" as well.🙂

Thank you for the kind words.👍
It’s wonderful that you managed to get this tedious condition under control on your own... only we know how draining it can be at times. Fortunately, the human spirit is resilient...🙂

I hope this oil "therapy" works for you too... right now, I'm just sticking to olive oil and Johnson's Baby Oil.

Michael Ramos3 said:Hm, if my math is right using the current exchange rate ($63=30 USD) for 30 grams of ointment that merely manages symptoms (with varying degrees of success) and requires constant application...
Could you provide some specifics (if you can recall)? How long have you been using this, and how long does a single 30g dose actually last?

I seem to recall being accused recently of overcharging or profiting from someone else's misfortune...

With faith in God

A single dose lasts me anywhere from six months to a year. Someone asked for information, so I provided it. If that's an issue, report me to the moderator and I'll remove the link if they instruct me to...

It seems you're still bothered by what I wrote previously, so perhaps it's best for your own peace of mind if you simply stop reading my posts...🙂

Robert Smith6 said:Thanks so much, Chris Morgan67. I'm starting tonight, and I truly hope this helps.🙂I'm running low on my prescription, and you can't find it locally here. Do you happen to know if the pharmacy you use ships internationally, or does it have to be purchased within the US?

The site I use only handles orders within the US, specifically for Washington, D.C.🙂

Robert Smith6 said:Can someone explain how I should use the olive oil, St. John's Wort, and the Vaseline? Should I use them one at a time or rotate them daily? I'm a bit confused about which one works best. I don't have much left, so I'd like to make it last... modest, right?🙂

Apply the oils while your skin is still damp from the shower, but you can use the Vaseline on dry skin...🙂

Honestly, I spent so much time wearing them while crying because they were chafing my eyes so badly... but now, I simply can't go without them. I finally adjusted, and they don't bother me or cause any irritation anymore.

It’s wild that it takes a year and a half to adjust...😲

Even two weeks felt like too much for me... this just doesn't make sense...
Lump under the skin on the vulva in Health ·
Every once in a while, someone brings up a lump in the armpit or groin area. In about 99% of cases, it’s just an inflamed gland and is completely harmless. The main thing is to avoid poking at it with tweezers or anything similar.

If it happens to be quite large, you really should see a doctor to get some ointment—actually, it's better to just visit a primary care physician for an evaluation. They usually prescribe antibiotics or topical creams, and then it clears right up.🙂

Regarding my own situation, it's true that my condition improved after using oils similar to what Emergance recommends. I felt better, though the surface area didn't actually shrink. My skin was clear of buildup and flaking. I appreciate the advice.
However, the ointment from Izlečenov truly solved my issue on a massive scale. If things stay this way, I couldn't be more satisfied. Out of the 60-70% of skin originally affected, I now have only 5-10 tiny spots left (about the size of mosquito bites). I’m still treating them with the ointment, even though they're barely noticeable now.
I understand why everyone is being cautious; I've been let down many times myself. I also get the impatience, as I'm the same way, but what is two months of a new therapy compared to all the years I've struggled...
I believe this ointment could help many people just as it helped me. Be persistent, be patient, and take care of yourselves.
A huge thank you to Izlečenov, and my best to his entire family!
Best regards to everyone on the forum!

I am glad to hear you are feeling better.👍

Please keep us updated on how things look once you stop using the ointment...👍

all together $40 which seems almost too good to be true...🙏 🙏

I’m quite fond of soft contact lenses; they’re incredibly durable and I haven't run into any issues with them.

However, I would suggest a specific combination that works best for my Bausch & Lomb Boston lenses: using their solution for storage and a dedicated cleanser. You can only pick them up at Ghetaldus, but in my experience, nothing else compares...👍

Charles Chavez said:A little bit of white salve during the summer, or nothing at all most of the time 😬. I can see what's happening, but there isn't much I can do about it. I even have some patches on my head. After washing my hair, I think I apply some Eglonil 🙄.

Last year, I used a cream someone recommended—something based on cocoa butter, olive oil, and aloe vera—for about two months. It actually made things look worse. Instead of this clean white appearance, it turns a shade resembling raw meat 🤣. Not worth the trouble,

Well, since the area is relatively small, using white salve shouldn't cause any harm...
Have you tried Psorcutan ointment? I’d suggest looking into it 👍

The only issue is that you have to order it from overseas, and it's quite expensive 🙄. But since it's just on your elbows, it should last you a long time

How are you treating it?

Robert Smith6 said:Chris Morgan67, are you finding it flares up in different spots after using Psorcutan, and how long can you go without any cream?

My psoriasis has actually been dormant for years now, though I still apply Psorcutan once or twice a year for about two weeks at a time.

It doesn't really flare up much; if I notice an area getting particularly red or a small spot appearing, I just apply some body oil or moisturizer to the area...😍

One thing to keep in mind with Psorcutan is that you shouldn't use it during a severe flare-up—like when there's heavy scaling or it covers more than 70% of the skin. It’s really designed for mild to moderate cases, but the effects can last up to six months.
I’d suggest picking up the ointment version; I personally find the cream texture a bit off, and the ointment tends to be more budget-friendly...
Psoriasis [PLEASE READ FIRST POST!] in Health ·
In my experience, Psorcutan is the gold standard for psoriasis; it’s really the only cream I’ve found that can be used long-term without causing side effects. It's certainly an investment, but it’s worth every penny since it’s the only thing that actually worked for me.

I’ve come up with a new little remedy for those dealing with psoriasis and dry skin.🙂
Take 100g of cocoa butter from a local pharmacy—it usually comes in powder form, so just set the bottle in some warm water on the stove. Once it melts, stir in a bit of almond oil.

Honestly, this stuff is pure magic for my skin.😍It stays soft, fragrant, and hydrated all day long. Just wonderful...

Thank you so much, Robert Clark2...😘 I just spent two weeks at the beach, and it was lovely to relax, swim, and soak up the sun.
My psoriasis is still quiet; I’ve just been using some baby oil for skincare. I have a doctor's appointment this fall, though there isn't much to report...😍

Best to everyone, hope you're all doing well!!!

P.S. Olivia Ramos66, I noticed you mentioned being a phyto-aromatherapist somewhere. It would be wonderful if you could share a few tips or suggest some oils that those of us dealing with psoriasis might use for skin care...

Adam Newman12 said:My dad deals with psoriasis on his legs. It seems to clear up during the summer, but once he’s out of the sun, the redness becomes much more noticeable.
He uses a cream from a late doctor—Dr. Kaife, I believe. He had a lab over at the Miljan estate, if I recall correctly. When he applies it consistently, there's no flaking, just some lingering redness.

I know that cream... it's coal tar based... I can't stand it, the smell is awful...👎
