silentheron25 said:I’ve been under an immense amount of stress lately; I'm constantly on edge, sweating, and just irritable. It’s been like this every single day. My psoriasis isn't really receding, though no new patches have appeared either. At least my skin feels smooth now without the scaling... I've been using Nivea lotion after my showers, which helps soothe the itching quite a bit. I also deal with psoriasis vulgaris, including three spots on my hands and both big toes. They're causing some issues—two of my fingers have actually started to swell and ache slightly. I'm just hoping it isn't arthritis setting in... 😕

I suspect RA might eventually settle in my right ankle and hand as well...

You might want to try soaking your nails in a mixture of apple cider vinegar and water... many people dealing with psoriasis swear by it...👍

Maria Chavez55 said:I actually gave those oils a shot based on your suggestion, but they backfired on me. It’s almost embarrassing to admit since they seem to work for so many people, but instead of hydrating my skin, the grease just ended up drying everything out even more.😕
I'm currently tanning and using some Vaseline petroleum jelly. There hasn't been much improvement, though at least the itching and scaling aren't quite as unbearable...

I have an old epilator from the days before my psoriasis kicked in—it has both a waxing head and a shaver head—so I've just been sticking to the shaving attachment lately.

I am truly sorry to hear that.👎

If you're interested, I’d suggest picking up a decent electric razor. I personally find Braun to be excellent... it lasts at least two years, has three heads, and provides a really clean shave.
The hair grows back faster with an epilator, but using a manual razor is just a disaster...👎 👎

Maria Chavez55 said:What do you use for hair removal? My legs are at a point where shaving is my only real option.

I've been using a men's razor for years now, and honestly, it’s the only thing that works for me.👍
Proper hair removal really makes a difference, though; it helps those flakes shed faster so the creams can actually penetrate...

It costs nothing to try using oils instead.
Just apply a little baby oil to damp skin right after you shower, wait a minute, and then lightly pat dry with a towel.
You won't feel greasy, and your skin will thank you...

With all that stress, it’s honestly a minor miracle my skin hasn't flared up...😛 😍

Just wanted to check in and say hello...
I’m actually quite happy with how things are going... I think the key is just avoiding scratching. Between the sun, the ocean, and using oils...I haven't seen a single new spot pop up in the last month.... though I have been taking fish oil along with some folic acid and B-vitamin supplements specifically for skin health...

Someone mentioned fumaric acid earlier—is that the same thing as folic acid?

Best regards!

That's wonderful.🙏 🙏

In my experience, oils seem to be the most effective treatment for psoriasis, whether applied topically or taken as a supplement...

It really comes down to staying hydrated with oils and resisting the urge to scratch...😍 😍

Hey everyone... heading to the coast soon. I can't wait.😍

I have to say, I'm actually quite proud of myself. Despite some major stressors lately (taking my college entrance exams 😍), my psoriasis hasn't flared up at all. In fact, my skin has never looked better 👍

I make sure not to scratch or pick at it. I always shave first, take a gentle shower using Palmolive creamy gel, and then apply a tiny bit of oil while my skin is still damp.👍

While I'm at the beach, I plan on swimming a lot. I'll stick to sunbathing only in the early morning before 10 AM or after 5 PM, and I'll be showering regularly using Cantabale and olive oil.

Are you joking?

Of course you can't see those pages when they don't exist...🙏

Mish, it isn’t about your legs. Even if you lost all the weight, you'd still be dealing with something else...

But what you’re feeling? That actually can be fixed. First, you have to admit to yourself that you’re worthy—which you truly are—that you have a great boyfriend, and just let it be...

It’s just hurt feelings

my apologies, jadesailor14😳 😳

I suspect the heated debates will finally subside now that I've turned on the ignore function🥳

These are just assumptions, and adults shouldn't judge others based on unverified claims—that's what children do.

Just as adults shouldn't trust a stranger based on unverified assumptions...😉

Well, not all five of us. I’ll grow up, you’ll grow up, and I truly wish you success with your business.👍

As for any further discussions with you, you're on my ignore list...

Healed

I managed to clear my skin on my own. I went from having psoriasis covering 90% of my body to less than 5% today
.
If I had even posted photos of my worst flare-ups compared to how I look now—even if I made up some story about using a magic ointment—99% of people on this forum would be rushing to buy it because the improvement is so dramatic
.
And wouldn't you know it, I did fine without you or your "help"
.
Besides, you’re a grown man, and as such, you need to be prepared for criticism and questions
. The bottom line is this:
a) A few users have seen improvements, but they only had a few patches to begin with
b) One person suffered an allergic reaction to your salve and ended up in the hospital
c) You come across like a bottom-tier door-to-door salesman, trying to convince us how great your product is

If you think I don't have the right to be critical or voice my opinion—grow up
.

Chris Morris6 said:Have you tried that ointment yet? Thanks.

I haven't, nor would I. If you look through the last few pages, it’s clear that nobody who tried that stuff actually found relief—one person even ended up in the hospital due to an allergic reaction...

So, one shouldn't take everything written online at face value.

Ultimately, the choice is yours... good luck.🙂

I honestly don't think we need to dwell on what Michael Ramos3 has achieved anymore... the sheer volume of comments regarding his remedy speaks volumes about its "miraculous" nature.

Sophia Campbell73 said:Gregory Mendoza3, I am truly glad you're back with us after such difficult times.

Chris Morgan67, thanks for the advice regarding the oils. They have worked wonders for my skin; everything looks significantly better.>

Greetings to you and Bob
and to all the other members...

It is wonderful news.👍

I should probably share my own progress—my psoriasis is currently dormant. I only have a few small red spots on my stomach, but otherwise, my skin is smooth, without any scaling or redness.

And I managed all of this without any miracle ointments or medications...>

Even though I'm currently under quite a bit of stress with college finals, sticking to regular showers, using oils, and resisting the urge to scratch has completely revitalized my skin. I'm very pleased with the results.
I'm heading to the coast in two weeks, so I expect things might improve even further...👍 👍

Best wishes to everyone.🙂

Ryan Brooks2 said:Are there any women on this forum dealing with psoriasis too? Ideally someone in her twenties from the Chicago area... or does anyone know if there's a support group or meetup for people with psoriasis in Chicago?

Well, count me in.😁 Is this some kind of dating ad?

Don't worry about finding a partner. Most people I know with psoriasis are in happy relationships or married; it doesn't seem to be an issue when it comes to dating...👍

There isn't really a specific meetup group in Chicago...
