silentheron25 said:You’re essentially fighting against yourself. It would be perfectly normal if you weren't constantly fueling the fire with smoking, alcohol, coffee, and all those sodas... You clearly put more faith in the medical industry, which seemingly has no interest in curing psoriasis. If they wanted to, they probably would have by now, but they likely won't because we represent a massive market—especially those of us who are self-destructing with these toxins. While I was at the beach today, I noticed my largest patch has faded significantly, even though it's still quite visible. Just to mention Gregory Mendoza3, what good is any help if he's stuck in a hospital bed, eating nothing but three poor meals a day and being smeared with useless junk? For me, naphthalene didn't do much. This balm is slowly clearing things up, though I wish it would vanish overnight... it's a slow process. If it takes time to see results, then so be it. But if it works for us, will you hypocrites suddenly decide to order it after refusing to trust it yourselves? For people like you, there will always be plenty of creams and ointments in the pharmacies. Personally, I've spent enough money on nonsense. I don't trust the industry much; I'd rather try something alternative, even if I do smoke. Hopefully, this balm is the answer. And long live the ocean... 👍
smoking, drinking coffee, and having soda while expecting different results just doesn't make sense. 👎

That's my life, not yours, dear.🙄

I don't see where in my post I suggested I was poisoning myself with creams, considering I've been using natural products for years, and they're quite affordable.

If you truly believe Gregory Mendoza3 can't be helped while in the hospital, then you're being incredibly ignorant.

It's clear you have no idea what it feels like when 90% of your body is covered in psoriasis.
I know, because mine was covered, and if I hadn't gone to the hospital, I literally would have died.

@Sophia Campbell73—wait a moment before you get dressed. When you apply this to damp skin, you're going to feel very greasy.
Apply a very, very thin layer of Geocortone ointment to your face. That was the only thing that worked for me, and I haven't had a flare-up on my face since. Apply it for a week or two...

My grandmother used to apply honey to her skin whenever she got a sunburn. I’ve also heard that propolis can be applied topically to soothe irritation much like that.

Generally speaking, using oils, honey, vinegar, or vitamins can lead to significant improvement; you might find your skin clears up remarkably if you remain consistent...

Let me know if there is anything specific you would like to ask.🙂

Sophia Campbell73 said:Hello Chris Morgan67...
Could you let me know if you’re following a specific diet? I'm curious about which oils you prefer and how exactly you incorporate honey into your routine... I ask because the diet I'm currently on bans honey, claiming it affects the liver similarly to all acids—which would include that apple cider vinegar you mentioned. I've been having apple cider vinegar for breakfast the last two mornings, so we'll see how it goes...
Regarding using that mixture... last year someone taught me to steep walnut leaves, St. John's Wort, or wormwood in apple cider vinegar. I actually prepared a batch, but I never ended up using it. I was just too worried about how the acid might sting my open sores—I can't handle that kind of pain. A few months ago, I finally tossed those jars out...

I don't follow any specific diet, nor do I obsess over my nutrition, because I honestly don't think it makes much difference for those of us dealing with psoriasis. My theory is that if you, say, cut out meat entirely for two years, the moment you finally sit down to eat it again, the shock to your system will just trigger a massive flare-up...
I eat my fruits and vegetables daily, along with meat and grains—my diet is pretty standard. I smoke, though, and drink on occasion...😬 I occasionally indulge in some sodas, and as for coffee, I drink it by the gallon...

I'm currently taking some multivitamins just because I have them lying around the house...🙂 They say those evening primrose oil capsules are good for the skin...
For a few mornings now, I’ve been mixing a spoonful of vinegar with two or three tablespoons of honey in a bit of water...
I've heard from several different sources that honey and vinegar might actually be beneficial for our condition...

I’ve read online that if there aren't any open sores from psoriasis, you can try adding a bit of vinegar to a bath or mixing it with your body lotion. Apparently, the vinegar helps soothe the itching and disinfects the skin without wiping out the good bacteria...

When it comes to oils, I swear by them...🙏 🙏
For years now, I've been applying oils to my skin while it's still damp right after showering...
I've tried olive, sesame, St. John's Wort, and calendula oils, and they all work wonders for me. I apply them to damp skin and then lightly pat dry with a towel. Even standard store brands, like Nivea, do the trick...

I also use the calendula salve from CVS, which costs about... $3.00She contains petroleum jelly inside, which really helps nourish my skin...

For most of us dealing with psoriasis, oils have been a lifesaver. They really help lift those flakes, smooth out the texture, and take the edge off the redness...

I truly just hope that Gregory Mendoza3 is doing alright in the hospital.

Based on those photos he shared, his condition looks incredibly difficult, and he’s dealing with a particularly severe form of psoriasis.👎

He doesn't need ointments right now; he needs a hospital bed...👎

Psoriasis can be managed effectively without harsh chemicals by using completely natural remedies like oils and honey.

copperviper102 has seen amazing results, with only about five little spots left.
I really envy him, but please don't compare Gregory Mendoza3's situation to what copperviper102 is going through...👎

My apologies, I may have been a bit too blunt earlier.

In short, I think your balm is fine since it's plant-based and unlikely to cause harm, but as for completely curing psoriasis... well, that’s a harder sell for me.

silentheron25 said:Unfortunately, I can't be as satisfied as you are because after nine days, the results are barely noticeable—especially on my hands, back, legs, and stomach. It itches constantly, just a little bit. While the scales have thinned out, the redness is still way too obvious. I have eleven days left on my vacation, and it would be amazing if this clears up or at least improves significantly by then. Otherwise, does anyone have experience with Zorac gel? My doctor recommended it.

Zorac isn't great; it tends to irritate the skin quite a bit.

I'm sorry you aren't seeing better results than with the balm, but that was somewhat expected. Millions of people across the US deal with psoriasis, and frankly, no one expects it to vanish in fourteen days just because of some local remedy...

My advice would be to apply oil generously after every shower, spend a little time in a tanning bed, and try Psorcutan ointment. It’s very gentle and has been the best cream I've ever used...🙏

In about a month, your skin will likely be 80% better, if not more...

Oh, excuse me, I forgot to include it...
http://www.psoriasis.org/home/

I actually requested some brochures through this site, and within a month, they sent me about ten little booklets covering everything about psoriasis from A to Z...🙏
There’s some really great reading material there, and it’s all free.👍

Apple cider vinegar
Many ancient cultures used different types of vinegar (derived from dates, figs, etc.) for medicinal purposes. Apple cider vinegar has been used throughout the years as a disinfectant or soothing agent.

The Psoriasis Foundation hears from people who apply apple cider vinegar to their skin as a treatment for psoriasis. People add it to the bath, mix it with a moisturizer, soak fingernails and toenails in it, and apply it directly to the skin with cotton balls or pads. The vinegar can be purchased at the grocery store.

@Linda Chase81😬 My mistake, I misunderstood you. I also prefer to head to the beach before the season ends, since my skin tends to prepare itself for the sun... it makes tanning much easier and prevents reactions...

Linda Chase81 said:Don't worry about it, dragon; I've been successfully managing my psoriasis with tanning beds for years and haven't had any issues...☕
though, naturally, I don't stay in longer than 10 minutes a day.😬

Are you really going to a tanning salon every single day?

That seems a bit excessive to me. I used to go once a month and it worked perfectly fine, but I'm wary of skin cancer since I have quite a few moles, and those beds can be pretty dangerous in that regard...👎

I just wanted to mention that I was looking through The Psoriasis Foundation handbook, and several pages suggest that apple cider vinegar can be quite beneficial for our condition.

People dealing with arthritis use it to massage their joints, mix it into creams for topical application, or even add it to their baths. It’s also supposedly great for soaking nails if psoriasis has taken hold there...

So, starting today, I’ll be taking a couple of tablespoons mixed with a bit of honey every day. I’ll check back in with my results after a month.🙂

It seems worth a shot—it’s pure nature, inexpensive, and it certainly won't do us any harm...

May you always stay happy, and may your biggest "struggle" in life simply be psoriasis.
Best wishes and a hug!

Thank you so much!😘

@silentheron25—that’s just your take... I don't agree at all, but I respect it, and honestly, nobody's going to hand you a red card for saying it, goodness knows...😬

@Sophia Campbell73—I get why one would wonder... but I truly believe your children will have the most beautiful lives imaginable, and the mere possibility of developing psoriasis won't change that.🙂

Sophia Campbell73 said:Gabby and Chris Morgan67, thank you both so much for the comfort and support. I really hope you're right and that I'm just panicking for no reason. This is actually the first time since becoming a mother that I've let this doubt surface... I've never voiced it or even shared it with anyone before. In moments like this, I can't help but wonder if I was being selfish when I decided to have children by potentially condemning them to carry this condition their whole lives. If heaven forbid it happens, I know I'll feel guilty, regardless of the fact that I didn't choose to get sick myself.
I won't panic, but I don't think I'll ever truly shake this feeling...
P.S. In my small family, only one uncle out of four brothers has psoriasis, along with me.

Don't think like that!
While psoriasis can be awful, most people only deal with a few spots.

Just imagine if your own mother had killed you because some old fortune teller told her you'd end up with psoriasis...😲 🤣

I am incredibly happy with my life, and psoriasis is just a side note...🙂

Once you see what’s actually out there, you realize things can always get worse. It’s honestly unbelievable how much nonsense exists. Then you look around at people destroying themselves, poisoning their bodies with all sorts of junk, and completely ignoring their health... and there's just no way to fix it all. 👎

But honestly, getting worked up over this isn't going to get us anywhere.
We are where we are, dealing with this condition.

It took me quite a while to come to terms with it, but I finally have, and I'm proud that my entire life doesn't revolve around psoriasis anymore...👍

Gregory Mendoza3, I'm asking you once more—if you're reading this, please go see a doctor.
The specific type of psoriasis you're dealing with can be quite serious...

A doctor!!!!

I was just browsing through The Psoriasis Foundation website...

It turns out about 10% of the population carries the psoriasis gene, yet it only actually develops in roughly 2-3% of people...

Sophia Campbell73 said:What are the odds that a child will develop psoriasis if their mother is suffering from it? It breaks my heart to see even the slightest skin irritation on my little one. If anyone has any insight or personal experience, please let me know.
Greetings from a worried mom!

The chances aren't incredibly high, but there is always a possibility...
It’s also possible for a father to carry the gene without knowing it, which could lead to the child developing it.

My own mother has psoriasis, but it has been dormant for decades; she only had a small patch on her elbow when she was younger, and it cleared up quickly. For me, however, it's quite widespread...

Don't worry too much; what's meant to be, will be...

Gregory Mendoza3, I just want you to realize that we are all offering this advice as friends.

Every single person living with psoriasis goes through a flare-up so severe at some point that hospital intervention becomes necessary.
A few years ago, when I was just a young girl, I went to see my doctor about my skin lesions; she called for a ward immediately, and within two days, I was admitted...
Since that experience, my psoriasis has stabilized, making it much easier to manage now.

In a situation like yours, seeking hospital care is truly the best course of action, and you won't find a single patient or physician who would disagree with us...

Gregory Mendoza3, I don't know where you're located, but please head to a doctor or a hospital, because your condition looks quite severe.
If I showed up to see my Dermatologist looking like that today, they'd likely admit me immediately.

Corticosteroids would clear things up, and phototherapy could help restore your skin.
After that, I imagine things would be much better and easier to manage...
