I honestly couldn't even get into the movie because the CGI on the characters' faces was just so incredibly heavy-handed and distracting. It’s frankly embarrassing that a film with this kind of massive budget has such criminally bad visual effects!
It would be awesome to catch them live. I haven't spent a ton of time spinning their stuff, but everything I have heard is solid. They’re one of those bands that feels way more massive here in the States than they do everywhere else in the world—kind of like how KISS or Van Halen are perceived. Just a classic example of an American powerhouse.
I'm not really sure if this is the right place to ask. I picked up some Quercetin plus Vitamin C capsules today—trying to boost my immunity since I've been fighting a fever all week—but they're dietary supplements and honestly, they're just way too massive for me to swallow. Is it actually okay to just open them up, dump the powder into a spoon, and wash it down with water?
I just finished watching this, and look, it’s okay, but I really expected more. To me, the first two films were definitely stronger. It’s not a total disaster like Thor: Ragnarok or Black Panther, but I’m still sitting here waiting for Marvel to actually drop a truly great movie.
The movie was alright, but I still think Ragnarok was better. They really went overboard with the humor this time—it feels forced and constant. Also, out of all the characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, none have had a shift quite like Thor's. He started off as this Shakespearean figure, and by the last two Avengers films, he was a total badass, but here they’ve turned him into a complete clown who just vents his feelings to his axe. Bale looks like he walked in from a completely different movie; he’s so dark and moody while the film itself is just a neon explosion of color. Honestly, the highlights were definitely the scenes featuring Guns N' Roses. It isn't quite up there with Black Panther, but it's one of those movies I'll probably forget pretty quickly once the credits roll.
What an absolute disaster of a movie! I really should have seen this coming the second I saw Peele was one of the writers. It’s just another blatant "Black Lives Matter" propaganda piece where every Black character is portrayed as perfect and saintly, while all the white characters are nothing but pure, irredeemable trash. Honestly, these kinds of movies just make me sick. The only white character who isn't written as a total villain is the gay guy—but of course, that's just Hollywood being incapable of showing a gay character as anything other than "good." Save your money and don't watch this under any circumstances!
Wan has proven himself to be a true master of horror. Honestly, he might even be the best director working in Hollywood right now, especially considering his run through the 2000s, and I have zero doubts that this next project is going to be another winner. Just look at how much of a letdown The Conjuring 3 was without him behind the camera.

For me, once you get past Jaws, the best one in this genre has to be the Australian flick "The Great Barrier Reef".
It’s a totally minimalist movie where everything feels incredibly realistic.
Definitely worth a watch.
I'm with you on this! I actually think The Great Barrier Reef is better than Jaws 2, which isn't even a bad movie by the way.
