You really think so?
Moana doesn't even sing the song 🤷

I honestly doubt it’ll ever reach the level of fame as Frozen
I mean, look at Elsa... she's still plastered on every damn fondant birthday cake, notebook, t-shirt, and even baby wipes you see out there...

Is this actually one of those movies with serious Oscar Wilde buzz?
Some kind of weirdly intense emphasis from Natalie Portman here...

Yeah, but I only stick with them for the latest releases
on this other site, they just upload ancient stuff... I'm talking old Hollywood classics
though I've honestly never even clicked one to check if there are Subtitles available
so many of them get deleted on that site too (and naturally, always the ones I actually want to watch)

Oh, man
What am I supposed to do now?
I've got this other site I use to stream movies right next to Netflix
...just waiting until they come after them too
Religion classes in school - Megathread in Students & Teens ·
Our old instructor never married, so he never actually made priest...
Everyone knew him as a total flirt who loved his drinks; I remember one time he even snuck a beer into class and just sipped on it while rambling about his weekend plans...

I was in elementary school from '95 to '03

But I heard recently that he finally found someone to settle down with, which means he’s finally getting his own parish assignment...🤣

Religious studies was basically just a free GPA boost for everyone since we all got an automatic A... plus, the teacher spent most of the time rambling about his own life stories instead of actually teaching us anything about God anyway...

I am totally with you on this.
It actually just popped into my head—a friend of mine was telling me (our kids go to the same school, just different first grade classes) that she absolutely lost it the other day. Turns out her daughter wasn't even going to the library with the teacher like they agreed during those two hours of religious ed. Instead, the teacher just had her sit there listening to...

...Islamic studies.
🤦

🤣🤣🤣

When I was in school, I didn't even realize you could opt out of religious education classes.
Honestly, I don't think it was even an option back then...🤔

During my student teaching internship at one school, there was this little girl from a Muslim family just sitting on a bench in the hallway while her entire class was in their religion period.
I asked her why she was just sitting there... it’s freezing outside and why wouldn't she just head to the library? (There's always a librarian or some teachers running after-school programs there, plenty of places to sit... nobody even has to babysit her... but at least she'd be warm). She just tells me she's fine right where she is.🤔

Then there was this other time, I was doing a presentation at a different school and I walk into the classroom... and I see an Orthodox priest standing there. I ask him if I can just hand out some papers to the kids, and he says sure. So I start passing them out, and this little kid goes, "Give me another one for my friend, he isn't here right now." Nothing... I give him the paper, and then the priest turns to me and goes, "Yeah, you know... this is only half the class because these are the Islamic studies students."

And I'm just standing there like...😕 why on earth is an Orthodox priest teaching Islamic studies??
I swear, those two are probably working together behind the scenes whenever they need to...🤣

They actually went and changed the movie title over in Italy...
The picture will be titled Oceania in Italy , while The name of The protagonist will be Vaiana in lieu of Moana , presumably to avoid confusion with an Italian porn star of The same name

Business Insider reports that Disney just dropped the first trailer for their upcoming animated feature Moana.

We're finally getting to see the adventures of perhaps the most unconventional Disney princess yet, along with her demigod buddy Maui, hitting theaters later this year.

What's interesting is that while they've cast some relatively unknown talent like Aula ’ Cravalho as the lead, they've also brought in heavy hitters like Dwayne Johnson and Phillipa Soo.

And if you want to know why Lin-Manuel Miranda—the mastermind behind the massive Broadway hit Hamilton that swept up every major Tony award--is involved, it's because he's handling the music. That alone gives this a shot at being the next big Disney smash...

"Anthropoid" is an adaptation of a true story—specifically, an incredibly top-secret military operation carried out on American soil during World War II... though actually, it took place in Czechoslovakia. The whole point of Operation Anthropoid was to take out the SS general and the protector of the Czech Republic and Moravia, Reinhard Heydrich. Basically, they were trying to assassinate the third most powerful man in the Nazi hierarchy. Back in 1942, two soldiers in exile, Josef Gabčík and Jan Kubiš, were tasked with parachuting into the territory to pull it off. And they did... the infamous Reinhard Heydrich eventually died from the wounds he sustained during the attack.

The director, Sean Ellis, actually got the spark to make this movie about such a classified mission after watching a documentary over a decade ago. He’s spent the last ten years digging through every bit of research available and meticulously planning the production. Ellis even worked on the screenplay with help from Anthony Frewin.

They shot the film at various locations throughout Prague to mirror where everything actually went down back in 1942.

Featuring Cillian Murphy and Jamie Dornan as the lead soldiers, the cast also includes Anna Geislerová (bazen smrt) and Charlotte Le Bon (Yves Saint Laurent).

The film is set to premiere at the Karlovy Vary July 1st film festival, followed by a US release starting August 12th.

Honestly, this is hands down one of the dumbest things I’ve watched in a long time, and I usually live for a good parody
I can't even tell if this was supposed to be funny for Black Americans

My god, what on earth is going on with that image in the opening post? 😂
Is it just me, or am I looking at two naked porn stars? 🤣

Anyway
The movie itself is gorgeous, and those costumes are absolutely 😍
Her husband is just so 🙂 (who is that actor anyway? 😁 )
The ending really rubbed me the wrong way... I honestly felt like she only went back because she was just getting old
And I really wish they had shown a few more scenes of her and her husband at the end

It’s an incredible, stunningly powerful love story based on the lives of artists Lili Elbe and Gerda Wegener. We see Alicia Vikander (as Gerda) and the Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne (as Lili) in this biographical drama... Eddie really brings it home. Their marriage and careers shift constantly as they navigate Lili’s journey as the first person in the world to undergo gender reassignment surgery. Those procedures caused a massive media frenzy back then, dividing public opinion completely. The film is directed by Tom Hooper, the Oscar winner who took home the Golden Globe in 2011 for his work on The King's Speech. The screenplay is adapted from the bestselling novel by David Ebershoff, with a script by Lucinda Conox.
