Quote: There’s a right way to be single, a wrong way to be single, and then…there’s Alice. And Robin. Lucy. Meg. Tom. David. New York City is full of lonely hearts seeking the right match, be it a love connection, a hook-up, or something in the middle. And somewhere between the teasing texts and one-night stands, what these unmarrieds all have in common is the need to learn how to be single in a world filled with ever-evolving definitions of love. Sleeping around in The City that never sleeps was never sol much Fun.

There is an overwhelming number of undisciplined kids in there, yet most of the teachers seem to lack the basic authority required to settle them down—not to mention they lack any actual mechanism for discipline. In fact, it feels as though some have simply given up entirely. Just today, a boy sitting right next to my daughter spent the entire math exam loudly muttering, "I have no clue what this is, this is insane..." When my little one tried to alert the teacher, the instructor merely gave him a mild reprimand, after which he continued his commentary in that same casual tone as if nothing had happened. In our day, she would have snatched that test away and sent him straight out into the hallway. And the kicker? This kid isn't even among the worst offenders.
Since the subject at hand is school reform, I find myself circling back to my previous stance: we ought to separate the students into distinct tracks—placing those who actually possess a desire to learn and behave appropriately into their own classrooms, away from those who view school as nothing more than a social club or a legal obligation to be endured.
Heaven bless the local music academy! One finds absolutely no such issues there, neither with the students nor with the instructors, who genuinely love what they do and strive to push their pupils toward excellence, both academically and personally.

| The geniuses behind those animated blockbusters... How to Train Your Dragon and The Croods... I... How to Train Your Dragon and The Croods... They’re rolling out a new animated movie! New song from Home soundtrack... It’s a completely original setup about two worlds colliding: you’ve got this quiet little girl, Typhoid Mary, meeting this clumsy, totally mundane alien named Boa. She’s just your average kid living with her mom and their cat, Gick. But he? He’s part of this nomadic alien race called the Boovi. Under any normal circumstances, these two would never even cross paths... but then Boa gets forced to go searching for a new home, which lands him right here on Earth and turns this family's entire life upside down. After the initial chaos settles, this weird little duo—along with Gick the cat—sets off on a massive journey around the globe... |
| Beyond just lending her voice to the characters, Rihanna actually went all out and put together a full concept album for the movie... we’re talking twelve brand-new original tracks. Such an incredible amount of work... |
