Man, since we’re already on the subject of gay bands, has anyone actually tracked down Extra Fancy and their cover of Sinnerman? I caught the music video once and it was absolutely perfect, but I can never find a decent recording of it. Soulseek is coming up totally empty...
The visuals that flood my brain when I’m spinning something like Neil Young's Cortez The Killer or Powderfinger, or even those early Pink Floyd tracks like Echoes or Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun... they're just too intense. Honestly, I don't think I'll ever find a real-world equivalent to what I'm seeing, unless I decide to go out and get high... Maybe I could find some kind of chaotic explosion of color to match up with Manitoba, now that I really think about it...

You basically just described exactly what I’d travel halfway across the country for. If the chance ever came up, I’d drop a couple hundred bucks and lose two days of my life in a heartbeat just to be there. 😍 I’ve only seen him playing with Pearl Jam backing him up, but I’d love to catch him with Crazy Horse or even doing that stripped-down solo thing you’re talking about.
Honestly, hearing Helpless played like that... if it isn't one of the most intense musical experiences ever, it’s definitely going down as one of the most beautiful moments of my life. 🙂

I don't buy it. Look, I get that the vocal production matters—if the mix sounds like garbage, the whole song is trashed—but the actual lyrics? They're secondary. Sure, if the songwriting is totally brainless, it'll rub me the wrong way, but it won't ruin the track for me. Don't get me wrong, I’m always gonna appreciate a deep lyricist more, but at the end of the day, they aren't the main event...

The band isn't half bad, but man, the crowd can be such a headache. I might still swing by just to balance things out, especially since we're spending the night before paying respects to Satan... 😈 🤣
Even if you threw Coco JUMBO in there, they really need to stop tripping and actually focus the camera work on the two women making up most of the band... 😢
