Well... I never really dug The Beach Boys, to be honest. And The Seeds? Never even gave them a listen. But those other three are absolute legends—The Yardbirds and more than that, if you can even wrap your head around it—though I tend to view them more as part of that emerging blues scene, right alongside The Blues Brothers, The Rolling Stones, Creation Records, and all those other geniuses from that insanely creative era...

Look, anyone who’s actually into The Yardbirds clearly has their head on straight and decent taste in my book... though I can't say the same for those "mod" types...

Man, my bad. When I was at my first show in New York City, I couldn't even get anywhere near the stage because there were way too many crazy fans swarming the front row, so I totally missed that detail... 😁 Plus, I'm pretty much legally blind anyway.

The absolute worst nightmare I had during my nap today:
1. I ran into Jason Chavez32 while we were out hiking. This little stocky dude with thick lips was wearing a shirt that said "Jason Chavez32" on the back. We were grinding our way up this massive incline—and seriously, constant uphill climbs are my personal definition of hell—searching for some party out in the middle of nowhere. On the bright side: the guy was carrying two jugs of wine, and it actually tasted decent. Too bad he made me lug one of them... though, thank God, we kept stopping so he could lighten the load by drinking half of it... 😂

Anything I caught on the radio just went in one ear and out the other, but that whole rant he wrote about Kset? Yeah, that lit up the moron alert and snob alert sensors in my brain immediately. Honestly, I don't see any reason to change my mind. Even if I kind of get where he's coming from regarding the "indie snobbery" vibe at Kset, it doesn't make his pretentious attitude or the way he reaches those conclusions any less annoying.

Man, I can't even... Those big-shot publishers, Netflix, and those massive publishing houses have totally cornered the market and snatched up all the readers. The only real issue with Stairway to Heaven—which, let’s be clear, is a killer track—is that everything else on that record is just as damn good. But because people have this mindless habit of chasing whatever is popular, you end up in this loop where 90% of the time someone puts on that album, they play that one song. Then maybe 9% of them bother with Black Dog or Rock and Roll, and I swear, maybe 1% actually listens to the rest of the tracks combined. It gets annoying because when I finally get the album spinning, I’m dying to hear Four Sticks or When The Levee Breaks, yet I often find myself skipping the first side entirely... even though I still think it's a masterpiece.
