Neu! is honestly the one band from this list that just clicks for me more than the rest. They pretty much justify their entire existence just by being part of some of the most brilliant rock tracks ever recorded. Specifically, I’m talking about Ciccone Youth and Two cool rock Chicks Listening to Neu.

Here are 5 possible Ramones covers (okay, I’ve actually only come up with two so far, but I’ll probably hit five by the time I finish typing this post):

1. Joe DiMaggio - JFK took my baby away
2. Adolf Hitler - blitzkrieg flop
3. Osama bin Laden - Jet Cemetery
4. That freak from sav biti lud za Mary - Now i wanna sniff some shoe
5. George Michael - Gimme gimme cock treatment
6. Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipović's rivals - Cop Till you drop ups

Oops, went a little overboard there...

1. Can - Ege Bamyasi
2. Neu! - Neu!
3. Kraftwerk - Kraftwerk2
4. Faust - Faust
5. Kraan - Andy Nogger
6. The Velvet Underground - Solarmusic Live
7. Amon Düül 2 - Vive La Trance
8. Popol Vuh - Hosianna Mantra

Faust is way too low, and Neu! is sitting way too high. You totally missed Pink Floyd. I haven't really dug into Kraan or The Velvet Underground yet... but looking at the rest of this list, my Napster is about to melt down...

And would the hippies even roll with him?

You’re honestly such a jerk... 😍

1. REM – The Apologist
2. National – Baby We'll Be Fine
3. Sebadoh – Sorry
4. REM – So.Central Rain
5. Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds – Thirsty Dog

...though HUSKER DUH’s "Sorry Somehow" got cut because it didn't quite fit the vibe... 😬

😲 😱 Anyway, where the hell is Đibo??? 😬

Honestly, that unknown book is actually pretty solid. I even ended up getting busted while carrying a copy because I was part of that whole stunt involving stealing a life-sized cardboard cutout of JFK from right outside the Sheraton. It's a long story...
Robin Booth, I'm with you on the ironing thing—definitely one of the most useless tasks the human brain has ever cooked up.

I’ve been sitting on this idea for years now—we should start an association for grown adults who have absolutely no clue how to ride a bike. I personally know at least four or five people like that (including Ari Peki, who swears he used to be able to do it but just totally forgot)... and honestly, looking around here, I see plenty of other candidates interested in joining the club.

The whole vibe would basically be hanging out, grabbing drinks, and protesting against bicycles and cyclists in general. Like, if there’s some big race happening over by the Rose Bowl, we could just head to the stadium with a bunch of beers and collectively turn our backs on the cyclists as they pass by. We could pull the same stunt during any stage race or even those local charity rides.

Word on the street is that Jasenka Houra can't ride one either, so I was thinking about inviting her to be our honorary president...

There are about five and a half things people on this board are claiming they don't know how to do tonight, and honestly, I’m right there with them because I’m clueless too:

1. riding a bike.
2. skiing.
3. ice skating.
4. blowing bubblegum bubbles.
5. snapping your fingers.
5 1/2. whistling. Sort of. I actually had no idea how for the longest time, until one day I just got fed up with, uh, listening to 😳 The Final Countdown and finally caught the rhythm... now I have these mediocre attempts at whistling, but let's just say I'll keep them to myself.

Back in the day, maybe ten years ago, Gego was actually pretty awesome, but honestly, this whole current hype train is starting to give me a bit of a headache...

I step away for a few hours and you guys immediately start diving into your worst childhood traumas... specifically about PE class! Honestly, I was such a delinquent back in high school that I actually forged a professor's signature on my transcript just so it wouldn't look like I skipped class (though it didn't even matter since I failed the year anyway). But hey, it wasn't all bad news, I've got a little something for you:

Here’s my top list of gym class activities where I actually crushed it (unless we're counting throwing chemical flasks at the ceiling just to catch them on the rebound):

1. Free throws

Nicholas King62 said:I’m just picturing how cool it would be if she hosted some hardcore nature documentary deep in the African jungle, and then just gets swallowed whole by a hippo.

Or maybe she just vanishes into one of those ponds in her gorgeous little garden.

Honestly, I don't care.

C-c-c... 😎

You just don't get it. Look, I am a full-blown advocate for rotten capitalism, GMOs, plastic, concrete (Rambo, man!), consumerism, and every single thing Brankica is constantly fighting against. And as long as our opposition is made up of people like her, there’s zero reason to worry about our side winning. 👍

If anyone happened to spot me at the local Whole Foods last Saturday picking up some cheese and sour cream, let me be clear: I was strictly following the philosophy of "know thy enemy so you can defeat them more effectively." Using a spoon.

Dana Anderson44 said:The absolute worst list of journalistic clichés ever:

1. Biglove drama and everything surrounding it
2. EU politics and endless negotiations
3. Environmentalism, courtesy of Branka Šeparović

That idiot Biglove actually managed to drag FOX news into this when they found the foster homes. They’re running footage of people picking up the animals, and then—get this—they play "Who let The Dogs out" as the background track... seriously? 🤣

I’m with you on the rest, though. Brankica is basically a cultural icon, period. If I ever catch a rerun of "sipa", I’m definitely recording it just so I can blast it at every single party and annoy all of you with it... 😬

Hmmmmm... rutvica made a pretty solid point—me and Jurkas are probably the only folks on this board using our actual initials as our handles.

Lastane, can I opt out of that particular category too?

Hmmmm... anyone going to mention the whole family of scents that are lightyears ahead of everything else? I'm talking oil, gasoline, diesel...

Man, I guess that’s what happens when you're an auto journalist and a massive Formula 1 fanatic... 😉

Ooh, and that specific smell of a new car interior, or better yet, those classic vintage rides—like that specific material they used for the seats in those old Ford models back in the day.

And yeah, just for the record, you don't need to tell me I'm a total freak. I already know.

Let me throw in one more scent that has nothing to do with cars, though: Earl Grey tea with a splash of lemon.
Šarlo Akrobata - Love Story (I mean, you really know if you're soulmates when you can survive the boring daily grind together, right?)

Elvis Presley - Why Love Hurts (A pretty depressing attempt at finding that one compassionate, gentle person who actually gets you)

Electric Orgasm - Stains (A sad little tale about those massive, unbridgeable gaps between two people)

Yeah, we got tipped off about that while we were hanging out at Wyman. Those TV vultures just love filming us Slovenacs—I mean, they even have footage from that old Fio Bri 3 tape showing Dana Anderson and me jumping around during the Bulldozer set. 😁

After three gigs in four days, fueled by massive amounts of beer, I’m pretty sure my first task tomorrow morning is gonna be scraping bits of my exploded liver off my bedroom walls...

The absolute highlight of last night's show was when Zoran Predin started joking about how back in the day, fans would show up at his gigs dressed like water polo players, but now he can't spot a single one in the crowd. Meanwhile, we were all low-key trying to distract him by pointing out crimsonfalcon17 over there, rocking that water polo cap in full Avatar style. 🙂It didn't exactly land...

They didn't. After they played Zarjavel trumpets, they just packed up and left—no encore, no Hallelujah... 😕

The setlist was honestly bizarre. They killed it with Prosim pazi da mi ne pohodiš podočnjakov (though let's be real, Milanov's solo sucked, and honestly, nobody can pull that off besides Ota) and Za šizofrenike (I went absolutely feral for that one, felt like I was the only person there who actually knew the lyrics...)—but after those first few tracks, I was just annoyed. I kept hoping I’d finally get to hear Lipa or Pajac live... but nothing.

Am I tripping, or are things still super tense between them? There was barely any talking among themselves, and considering how short the show was and the lack of an encore, I really got the vibe they couldn't wait to get away from each other. And it didn't even feel like they were vibing with us in the crowd (not that we were doing much, I'm still feeling a bit hungover this morning). Tiha voda was great, and a couple of other songs hit the spot, but compared to the high bar they used to set, this concert wasn't anything special. That said, the emotional energy from the crowd was intense. Along with us old-timers, there was a huge group of younger fans who probably missed their earlier shows, but they already know most of the lyrics by heart and were having a blast.

All in all, objectively speaking, it was just okay. Subjectively, though, to quote Balašević, it means a lot to me...

...anyway...

And honestly, where else am I supposed to put my hands with a gut like that?

Give me a break...
