Gerald Ward61 said:@cosmictinker21, you're spot on. At the end of the day, you just gotta be glad you're still breathing. 😁

And that whole "poor woman" thing? I'm picturing her as some total knockout. 😍 Then again, we don't actually know what goes on behind closed doors with cosmictinker21... and even if we did, who are we to judge? Right? I mean... seriously... 😉

She certainly is, very beautiful 🙂 — and that’s not just because she’s a friend of mine. 😁
Then again, we don't actually know her story... and even if we did, would we even have the right to judge?

Well, people will say whatever they want, including judging folks they know nothing about. But, it seems to me you've actually grasped the point. 🙂😉

Edward Rivera98 said:It’s like I wrote the whole thing myself...

I’ve been the target of that kind of obsession before (and honestly, I still am), but I’ve also found myself right in the middle of that exact same mess...

Feelings like that are never just a one-way street, because if it’s actually going somewhere, both sides have to be fueling the fire... In our case, it just wasn't meant to work out, so I accepted that pretty damn fast, but it lingered for a bit before eventually morphing into this sweet friendship that we still have today. I've had other guys, obviously, but with him, I was looking for that specific spark—that certain something everyone is always hunting for in a partner—and he really had it all... the whole package... 😁
Well, whatever, it is what it is...

I don't think there's anything wrong with being a bit of an idealist—honestly, it’s pretty nice to just drift through the clouds when you're actually in a relationship that works... but once that turns into a full-blown fixation, or even crosses the line into something pathological, then we've got a problem. It's not just about the potential for things to end badly, though that's definitely a factor, it's more about the fact that losing touch with reality entirely is never a winning move...

That’s pretty much how it works here, too. She knows there isn't a future there, so she maintains a friendship, but that doesn't mean the affection has faded. You can't just flip a switch on love like it's an on/off button. 😉

It’s not some obsessive fixation where someone is being stalked; they see each other because they both genuinely want to. You can't force anyone to spend time with you if they don't want to, right?

Come on, spill the rest... I think she's pretty cute. 😍

Fair point—he clearly isn't aware of just how unconscious he really is. 😁

northernbadger12 said:Man, I’ve been wondering about this too... why can't they just be together? I mean, they clearly love each other... or maybe they just love each other in some totally different way??? Please, please tell me! 😁

I won't get into the weeds here; it's nobody's business to pry into someone else's private life. 🙂 The bottom line is that there is simply no future for them as a couple. She loves him deeply—he’s her one true, fatal love—but as for him... I can't say for sure. He certainly cares for her, but the nature of that affection is a different story. I think he’s much more grounded than she is, and he views their "friendship" through a far more pragmatic lens.

Gerald Ward61 said:Yeah, I figured that out. But something still feels... off? Or maybe I just totally missed your point. Whatever, no biggie! 😉

What part didn't you get? 🤷 They run into each other occasionally, sure, but there’s zero intimacy there. There hasn't been anything since they broke up. The thing is, she's clearly still hung up on him, whereas he seems much less invested. I honestly thought she would have moved on by now, but it's been years. She really loves him.

Gerald Ward61 said:...so now he's being possessive?

Yeah, sure... you're such an optimist and a total idealist...

Look, I just exaggerate because it's easier to get my point across that way. 🤣

...but hey, I really do think two people can actually click and bring out the best in each other—you know, actually love each other. It's pretty simple. 😬 😉

And here I am, just a pure optimist: 😁The Pessimist: It can't get any worse.
The Optimist: Oh yeah, it totally can...

Ugh, man... aaaaaaaa......😱 😉

He is. But he finds it perfectly acceptable that she isn't.

I tend to exaggerate just because it makes it easier to get my point across. 🤣

...but I truly believe two people can come together and bring out the best in one another—essentially, they can actually love each other. It’s quite straightforward. 😬 😉

Exactly. It really is that simple. 😁 Your perspective is so vastly different from mine that there are moments I almost envy your outlook. 🙂 My view is that love only truly begins once the idealization fades away.
Uh, man... aaaaaaaa......😱 😉

🤣

Is that really such a crime? 😁

They aren't dating, and there isn't even a remote chance they ever will be.

Gerald Ward61 said:Ugh, sounds brutal. Love isn't some easy ride. People say it makes you feel alive, sure, but it also demands constant work. And honestly? Sometimes you just want to take a break. 😬 Like, seriously, sometimes you just want to turn your brain off and go for a walk. But then people talk about that "high" where you feel light as a feather.

Sometimes reading your stuff makes me want to spiral into a deep depression. 😬 But hey, it’s a gorgeous sunny day out, so I think I'll pass. 🤣

Seriously? No way...

I honestly don't even know how to put this—she told me she was just bored with it. 😁

Are you serious? No way...

Oh, please... you’re such an idealist with that relentless positivity. As for me? I’m just an optimist of a different breed: 😁

Pessimist: It can’t get any worse than this.

Optimist: It can happen, it really can...

northernbadger12 said:Look, I started this thread because I went through something strikingly similar starting when I was fifteen, and it dragged on for nearly a decade.

I fell for him the second I saw him; to me, he was basically a god. We were never officially together, but we hung out constantly, and I always felt this deep, unspoken connection. Even while I was in long-term relationships with other guys, he was always there, and we just seemed to "get" each other 😍 but we never actually made it happen. It wasn't until I was about 24 that I decided I had to try, otherwise I’d spend the rest of my life pining for him while being with someone else. Once we actually started seeing each other more regularly, I realized my feelings were fading. As it turns out, I preferred the fairy tale I had built up in my head—the illusion was what actually made me happy. 🤷

Before that, I lived with this intense, "funky" kind of love, but afterward, I just felt... cured. 😍😍😍

Given the situation I described, it isn't quite that black and white. These people were together, they hadn't seen each other in years, and their next encounter hit like a boomerang—except a relationship just wasn't possible anymore. They still see each other occasionally, even to this day. There’s nothing romantic happening between them now, but the affection is still there. I don't know how deep those feelings run on his end, but they exist. So, what you're talking about is a completely different animal. We all grew up with these "ideals" we daydreamed about, completely forgetting that real life works differently. But then again, who am I to judge...
Love as a fixed idea in Psychology ·
Gerald Ward61 said:So what have you guys actually done to love... why would it be some fixed obsession? Maybe that guy just loves her way more than he ever managed to say out loud.

What kind of "love" are we even talking about if you aren't idealizing your partner? Is it better to just spend your time insulting them? Or maybe just viewing them as some totally mediocre person? (unless they actually *are* mediocre 😬). What are you even falling for here? Do you even know? What’s the draw for you?

...like when, after twenty years, he looks at her and says, "hey gorgeous," and he actually means it. Does it even matter if it's "idealization" or whatever in that moment? It fills him up; it makes him feel light, happy, alive. And hey, maybe she really is "objectively" stunning. 🙂

Maybe the person in the original post is hurting for a completely different reason... and trust me, there are plenty of those. Maybe he just needs a specific part of her—something that actually moves him...

Love lives in poetry, it shows up in a touch, it's caught in a glance... man... it hurts... when you can't feel it somehow. Nobody complains about the quantity... because you can't measure it. 😉

Ah... love, man... that love... 😍

I can actually see where this is coming from. I have someone close to me who has been in love with the same person for years now. Even though the odds of them ever being together are slim to none, that feeling hasn't faded. They had a chance at something real years ago, but life happened and they drifted apart. It'll probably stay that way, but they still see each other occasionally, and I know firsthand that what one side feels is genuine love. In fact, this person is the only reason I haven't completely dismissed the notion that "unconditional" love doesn't exist.
What would love even look like to you if you weren't idealizing your partner?

Sometimes, reading your posts makes me want to sink into a deep depression. 😬 Fortunately, it's a gorgeous sunny day today, so I won't. 🤣

I feel compelled to point out a pattern here. Following a series of intimidation tactics used on the Spirituality boards, there was a blatant attempt to bully users on this specific thread—a post was published, left visible just long enough to make its point, and then scrubbed. To top it all off, tonight saw a direct attempt at intimidation via private message from Laamia. Since the administration has already been notified of everything, all we can do now is wait and see how they choose to handle this.

hiddenhound3 said:I have to wonder where Yivan actually picked up that information; did you tell him directly, or perhaps mentioned it in a post somewhere else on the forum? 😕
As for the question of whether that constitutes private information, I simply see no reason to engage in a debate about it.

That information was mentioned exactly once on this forum, and even then, it was by another user who was just guessing and wasn't even sure if it was true. I didn't confirm it, nor did I deny it. However, since Yivanmukta was clearly following the thread, he could have read it there. So yes, it is private data. But you're clearly dodging the point again; I notice you aren't answering anything except for this one thing. It’s not about whether someone will misuse the info or not—it’s about how they obtained it, which violates our forum rules, wouldn't you agree? If what you're claiming is true, that individual accessed your official profile and had full access to everything on this forum in their capacity as a moderator. Not to mention, they were posting as a banned user under a moderator nickname. But you, as usual, are playing dumb and avoiding my specific questions. You know perfectly well which rules were broken here. 😉
Banned from Spirituality?! in Feedback & Suggestions ·
I should add one more thing: I once sent Florin a PM containing some private information of mine—something that served as actual proof that Yivanmukta had been threatening me. I only shared it because I was trying to resolve the very issues his threats started in the first place. I was promised total discretion, and I trusted that the information wouldn't be misused (otherwise, I never would have disclosed it). However, if someone else is accessing her profile, then "discretion" is a complete myth. That individual can read all of her PMs, which means they effectively have access to the private data of anyone who reaches out to her privately.

Is this actually permitted under the rules of this forum?

hiddenhound3 said:Excellent. 👋

By the way, I am more than willing to admit my mistakes and offer an apology for them, but I certainly will not confess to things I did not do simply because you are so desperate for that to be true.
Do try a little harder; perhaps if you exert enough effort, you might actually convince yourself that reality can bend to accommodate your paranoia.

So, we’re moving straight to throwing out diagnoses now that you've run out of actual points? How predictable...

hiddenhound3 said:Yes, I did that on a message board that lacked any moderation, and it was only ever in benign circumstances; I truly don't see anything nefarious about it, especially since everyone was already aware and there was simply no opportunity for misuse. However, things are different here, as it is clear you are implying a distorted truth—or rather, I would suggest you are attempting to manipulate people.😉
Furthermore, I have spoken about this quite openly, as I certainly wouldn't want to have anything to hide.

By the way, your logic is flawed; it is evident that I presented myself individually.

How can anyone claim this is anything other than a double standard? It’s blatantly obvious that either you wrote that yourself, or—if we're believing your little story—someone else used your moderator account to post it.
You can see you're just twisting the truth.

What kind of twisted truth are you talking about? I was simply quoting what happened. That user, "Moldy," was the first one to jump in here just to stir the pot, posting nothing but absolute nonsense under the Spirituality section—and you, acting as a moderator, just sat there and let it happen. It’s pretty obvious he was writing under your direction. Using their official handle. What can we actually take away from this? Honestly, what kind of logic does it take to navigate a situation this obvious?

If you ask me, you’re just trying to manipulate people.

Don't start trolling again. I am not the subject here.
Besides, I’ve been completely transparent about this. I wouldn't be acting this way if I actually had something to hide.

You probably forgot you even wrote about that. Well, I didn't. 😉
By the way, your logic is a bit flawed here—you can clearly see that I introduced myself myself.

What exactly does that prove? You couldn't bring yourself to write it because your username is just plain embarrassing. Using your official moderator handle. "I am moldy." Give me a break. We aren't in preschool anymore. 🙄

Don't try to derail this thread from its purpose, because I'm done engaging with your trolling posts.

Back to the ad hominem attacks and trolling the topic again.

Aside from talking to yourself and at least five different handles (not just the one you mentioned) in that post, you also claim you have a habit of sharing passwords. Yet here you are, acting like a moderator.
on another forum I have about five accounts... sometimes when I'm really bored I chat with myself😂 and sometimes my husband logs into both his account and mine so we can talk together... it can be quite lively😂 😂

hiddenhound3 said:I believe it is high time that certain matters are clarified. Primarily, Laura Hughes7 is by no means anyone's clone; rather, they are a member of my own household who has followed this forum for years and is intimately familiar with nearly every username here. Irritated by this entire situation and the unjust accusations leveled against me, they logged on to defend my honor, yet in their attempt to do so, they were quite abrasive and consequently received a justified ban.
However, in a moment of my own oversight—given that I use a browser that does not automatically log me out when I navigate away from the page—they took advantage of the opportunity to post their thoughts once more under my username. As soon as I realized what had happened, I deleted the messages (which was an action taken by no one else), but unfortunately, the damage had already been done.

I would like to take this opportunity to offer my most sincere apologies to user Sandra Parker3 and to request that the moderators issue me a formal strike for harassment, or whatever disciplinary measure they deem appropriate.

Thank you.

hiddenhound3

That was beautifully put; someone naive might actually buy it. Unfortunately, I’m far too familiar with how you play the "refined lady" role. It reminds me of our old messages where you admitted to using five different handles on one forum just because you enjoy the thrill of chatting with yourself when you're bored. Here is that post. Now, you expect people to believe it wasn't you? Right.

logged in just to defend my honor

And you think you know anything about honor? If you had even a shred of it, you would have stopped your petty lies and the constant purging of anyone you don't like... But I don't hold my breath anymore. Just stop preaching about integrity and decent behavior.

I'll ask the unknown moderators for a ban due to insults or whatever else they deem necessary.

Oof, don't strain yourself. You're supposed to be the face of this community, and if they let you stay on as a moderator after this, then there's truly nothing left for an honest person to look for on this site.

I hope even the most skeptical among us can see exactly what’s going on here. All those perfectly polished sentences from unknown won't work this time—they aren't enough to gloss over the truth. This is blatant evidence of the state of things here on our forum. Even someone with their eyes closed could see it. I really hope the administration finally steps up and puts an end to this parade of intimidation, threats, and the ruthless purging of anyone they deem "inconvenient." Honestly, I’m out of words; it’s all just too obvious.

Sandra Parker3 said:It’s been seven days now without a single word of explanation.

Here’s a quote—technically meant for kids, but still...

Every punishment needs to be explained to a child so they understand why it's happening and what's expected of them. A kid should never feel like they're being punished because they aren't loved.

Hey everyone, if that logic applies to children, surely it should apply to adults too. 😕

Why was I banned from the unknown PDF? What exactly did I do to deserve this...?

I just finished going through some required reading with my daughter. It was "The Happy Prince and Other Tales" by Oscar Wilde. And get this: her favorite part was the story about the selfish giant.

This next quote reminded me of what you're dealing with, so I'm hoping the mods don't pull this post down.

– My garden is my garden said the giant – everyone understands that, and I won't let anyone else play in my garden but myself.
So he built a massive wall around it and posted a warning sign:
TRESPASSERS WILL BE PROSECUTED.>
He was one incredibly selfish giant.
.......
Since the moderator unknown seems to have an affinity for moral fables, here is a little lesson for her.

Eventually, the giant tore down that wall and realized that children were actually the most beautiful thing in his garden.
Whether those deciding on your return will come to the same realization remains to be seen...

Until I get some actual clarity on this partial ban... I'm going to link the problematic section from the Ghost Story official chat one more time:
Here we go. page I can't believe I'm actually doing this, but here we go. #1136 Anyway, there's more to it, but I can't stop dwelling on something that's been eating at me lately...

You guys really thought it was funny to joke around about the fluorite curse at my expense, but check out post 1136—I can't even quote it properly here since I lost that feature, and honestly, just typing out what's above was such a massive headache.

I guess I should probably mention that I've been thinking about this quite a bit lately, though I’m sure most people wouldn't care to hear my rambling thoughts on the matter.
Dammit, stop throwing stuff around! Curses. To everyone who disagrees. 🙂

I'm the one who cooked up these curses.
Where did this post from moderator Florinin come from?
First off, I haven't seen a single threatening post from Yivanmukteov yet—unless you count that one thread about the baptism.

Why is that post being treated like the opening act?

Is there actually something that existed before, just out of sight? 😕

I have to admit, despite my claims of having an elephant's memory, I completely blanked on the most important detail. Before reading this post from Florinin, I noticed that Yivanmukta had already started a thread titled: The fluorite curse. The subject line featured that angry little smiley face, and the thread itself just contained a link to the same song—same music video, plus a broken image link that wouldn't load. At the time, I found it a bit odd that he’d post that specific track, but I was in a rush and didn't have a second to actually look into it. When I eventually circled back to the forum, the entire thread had vanished. All that remained were those two threatening posts where the user's handle had been scrubbed. My best guess? The thread was nuked, and Florine had already jumped into the chat to comment on it.
