I don’t know, man... the current lineup just doesn't feel particularly high-stakes to me. There are plenty of bands on there that I probably wouldn't go out of my way to see under any other circumstances—but hey, if I'm already in the area, why not catch a set? That's fine by me. It’s just that I’m missing that one specific spark, you know? That "must-see" factor that actually makes me want to grab my tickets and head out.

Well, probably just some experimental stuff. 🤷 From what I’ve actually sat through—think films by Mark Snow, Stan Brakhage, or maybe even Peter Tscherkassky...

The year before last, they had Kraftwerk, Moby, and Franz Ferdinand...
And last year? It was Massive Attack, The Flaming Lips, Billy Idol, and Alice in Chains...

It feels like they built these tracks around specific climaxes, then immediately watered them down just so they wouldn't come off sounding cheap. 🤷

I don't know, maybe they’ll grow on me if I actually sit down and listen to them more—all I can remember right now is how mostly just boring they felt...

I thought Lily Allen was alright, and honestly, I wouldn't mind seeing Florence + The Machine show up—they’ve got that one absolute masterpiece, even if the rest of their set is just okay...
Massive Attack definitely hit harder for me than the guys who were performing. 😛

But look, the real dealbreaker here? Everyone is basically holding their breath waiting for Portishead. 🙂

Honestly, I’ve had most of them on my radar since last year's Coachella—they've been sitting on my watchlist for quite a while now. 😁

For me, it’s almost flipped—The Flaming Lips = pure vibes, while Massive Attack = total depression. I mean, I'm not even talking about how good they are as bands, just the headspace they put me in.

Anyway, I didn't actually sit through any single set from start to finish—spent most of my time just wandering around...

Here’s the breakdown of what I caught:
BSS — honestly, I usually find them pretty dull, but they were actually decent live.
The Flaming Lips — solid enough, but they didn't totally blow my mind. Maybe it just wasn't my day for them? Or maybe it's because I've never been their biggest fan to begin with.
Massive Attack — look, I don't follow them religiously, nor have I seen them before, so I can't get too technical here—but man, they were awesome. Easily the highlight of the main stage stuff for me.

A little bit of this and that:
Caribou — sounded great.
New York Public Library — they were alright.
Gorillaz, Rage Against the Machine, Skindred — meh. Not that I don't get why people love them, but they weren't my thing.
Flogging Molly — saw them once before; the snippet I caught yesterday wasn't half bad.

Tents / Parties:
The one near the exit was okay.
The one way in the back? Honestly, that was probably my favorite part of the whole experience. ^^
Silent Disco — definitely worth checking out at least once.

Is there any way to get into the campground and stash some food somewhere secure? Or maybe just outside the camp area? Somewhere nearby that isn't a total free-for-all. Like, could I just meet up with some other campers and basically offload my supplies onto them? 😢

It’s not even the cost of the food that bothers me—it's the selection.

But honestly? I was under the exact same impression—that it just wasn't possible. It’s actually huge news that it is! To be fair, that hesitation was pretty much my main reason for considering skipping out, but now? I'm 99% in... assuming we don't get absolutely hammered by thunderstorms. 😁

And what about the food situation?

To me, this year's lineup feels pretty much the same as the ones before... It’s all got plenty of solid, great bands, sure, but last year they had Kraftwerk (and let's be real, it's hard to find anything that grabs my attention more than them), and back in '06, it was Morrissey. 😁 It's a similar vibe to when Sonic Youth played, though I didn't make it out that year. 😳 My absolute worst experience was that year when Nick Cave was on the bill...

Not entirely sure if I’m allowed to jump in here, but apparently, I am... Anyway, about Yeasayer... I checked out that Tightrope track a while back and thought it was alright, though the vocals really rubbed me the wrong way. But I just sat down with O.N.E. and honestly? The song was pretty solid—even the vocals worked for me this time. 😁 Now I'm wondering, what's actually going on with their vocal style? Which direction are they leaning into more heavily (on which album)?

I’m feeling the exact same way—honestly, I was even holding myself back from commenting because, let's be real, I don't exactly feel the need to sit here and overanalyze why I'm loving this so much right now...
But yeah, it's great. It really feels like we're looking at a solid album in the making. 😁
