I've been hanging out on this forum since 2000, and I've always gone by Carl Watson. But when this new version of the site launched a few years back, I lost all my old posts—not that it matters much—but then I couldn't sign up under my old handle because the system now forces a 4-digit number at registration.

I was wondering if there's any way to ditch those extra digits and just go back to being Carl Watson?

I’m honestly a bit worried it might be HPV, though I’m really hoping I'm wrong because that's just awful. I've seen someone deal with it before (not me personally), and man, it's a nightmare. I'm definitely not a medical pro and I don't want to freak you out, but those symptoms look all too familiar.
A close friend of mine went through this, and she walked me through the whole ordeal. She actually ended up needing surgery because she waited way too long to get checked out.

I'm rooting for you and hope everything turns out fine, but your doctor will definitely have the final word on this...

Just picked up a new rig from a buddy of mine who runs a local computer shop.

He managed to overclock my Intel Core 2 Duo E6700 from 1.86 up to 2.8 GHz. He reckons he could push it even further to 3.0 easily, but I decided to play it safe...

I'm running 2 GB of DDR-SDRAM on a Gigabyte GA-965P-DS4 motherboard.

So, the big question is: can I squeeze out even more speed?

My GPU is an NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GS with 512MB, if that matters at all.

Curious if anyone else here has pushed a similar setup and what the absolute limit is. Thanks!

Honestly, one piece of news hit me so hard I just had to start a thread. I think it took someone as legendary as Christopher Reeve to actually get me to post this—he was such an icon for my generation, and honestly, for everyone coming up behind us too.

A true legend has passed away.

Even though we all knew Christopher Reeve was human, just a regular guy, there was this quiet hope deep down that he’d somehow outlive us all and stay immortal, living on as Superman.

No crazy special effects, no aliens, no jumping twenty feet in the air and landing without a scratch... just a GENIUS script and PERFECT acting from the whole cast!
