Who is the GOAT of action movies? in Movies ·
Gary James88 said:Hold on just a second. After his buddies get taken out, Chuck Norris literally leaps at an enemy with two live grenades in his hands. And he lands right on top of them! There’s this massive explosion, and somehow he walks away without so much as a scratch. Seriously, name one action hero in any movie who survived anything even remotely close to that. Let me save you the trouble—there isn't one. ☕ Even the Terminator would be scrap metal after a stunt like that...

That T-1000 guy wouldn't care; he'd just melt and then pull himself back together anyway.😁

Yeah, and Rambo can take down an entire army by himself.😲

but I have to speak up here: where the hell is Chuck Norris?! 😠

You should've just voted for "someone else" and then typed in Chuck Norris in the comments.

Those guys belong in a completely different category altogether.😁

How do I get rid of dark circles? in Health ·
Jerry Young51 said:how do I get rid of them?
is there some kind of cream or something else that works

Look, creams aren't going to fix dark circles under your eyes. More often than not, they're actually a symptom of something deeper—like you're running on fumes from exhaustion, or maybe you're dealing with kidney issues or anemia...
pay attention to what your body is trying to tell you.
Melissa Sullivan27 said:So, here’s what I’m wondering—do you wash your hands after using the restroom? And I mean do you wash them *every* time, or just when you're at a friend's house, at the office, or in a public stall? Or do you actually bother doing it at home too?

If you're washing up in any of these scenarios, or all of them, what's the actual motivation? Is it because...

1. You touched your genitals or your butt directly with your hands, or

2. You used toilet paper and things got messy or damp, so it ended up touching your skin, or

3. You didn't technically touch anything "dirty," but since bacteria can seep through the paper, they ended up on your hands even if you couldn't see it,

4. You only wash up in public restrooms, which means you're still touching door handles or faucets that everyone else touches, spreading germs anyway,

5. You wash your hands but honestly don't even know why you're doing it,

6. You don't wash your hands at all and can't wrap your head around why anyone else bothers,

7. Something else entirely?

That's basically what I want to know.

Seriously, why do you keep posting such mindless questions?😉
Pyruvate vs. L-carnitine: Which one should I take? in Hobbies & Leisure ·
gentletiger46 said:If you already knew how this worked, you wouldn't be having second thoughts about it.

Siki - happy to help!

Look, I never actually asked the question, so I'm not exactly "in a dilemma" here.😉

P.S. Before you jumped down my throat, maybe take a quick peek at my profile so you realize I'm a guy.😠
Pyruvate vs. L-carnitine: Which one should I take? in Hobbies & Leisure ·
gentletiger46 said:I suggest you take your money and buy a decent textbook on biochemistry or physiology instead. Use that to actually learn what L-carnitine and pyruvate are for. Pyruvate is just the end metabolic product of sugar breakdown during glycolysis, which then feeds right into the Krebs cycle. If you subtract the 2 ATPs lost because you skipped glycolysis, you end up with the exact same amount of energy—it’s basically like drinking sugar water. If you want to pay a premium for that, be my guest.

L-carnitine is just the transporter that moves fat into the mitochondria. Thinking you'll burn fat faster just by having more transporters is like thinking you'll use more electricity at home just because you have more outlets installed. Fat gets burned when your body needs it, and your own natural L-carnitine levels are already plenty to handle the transport.

🙄
What kind of philosophy is that...☕
Thanks, we're well aware...😉
The debate was about what works better and if they actually do anything...😠

Look, L-carnitine isn't trash, you just have to know how to actually use it.
It’s a seriously useful supplement, especially if you're stacking it with a solid fat burner.

I’ve never actually used this brand before, but I am officially fed up with all the garbage Multipower has been putting out lately. Has anyone here tried them? Specifically, has anyone given this shake a go?

Look, Dymatize is a solid, high-quality brand.

Hip, pelvic, or groin pain? Help! in Health ·
wiredeagle46 said:I’m dealing with this nagging groin issue—it feels like a constant stretch that just won't let up. I'm starting to wonder if it's my hip or maybe even some kind of pelvic misalignment. I train pretty hard, mostly heavy lifting at the gym right now. I'll be hitting full squats with 330 lbs; it hurts a bit, but I usually just power through the pain to finish my sets. Back when I played basketball, I had an insane vertical jump—around 40 inches—but all that jumping absolutely wrecked my knees and gave me a mild case of scoliosis (which I’ve been working on fixing through specific gym exercises). Anyway, I was reading some articles online and came across the idea that you might actually have one leg shorter than the other without even knowing it, which can cause issues with your knees, spine, and hips. Is there any kind of actual test I can do to see if my legs are uneven or if my hip is out of whack? I can't stop obsessing over this groin pain, though if it's just a simple strain, I won't sweat it too much. My hip mobility is fine and it doesn't hurt in any specific position, but I do get this weird clicking and skipping sensation. I’d really appreciate some insight because I need to figure this out if I’m going to keep training seriously. Thanks.

You probably should have posted this in the Fitness sub or searched for similar threads first.
Honestly, you seem like you're prone to getting injured. You really need to look into starting a supplement regimen.
And man, you're taking this whole "leg length" thing way too seriously.

Nicholas Kern90 said:Look, here in the States, Twinlab is priced right along with about 90% of the other brands out there—it’s nothing special. The only reason they seem overpriced back home is because the local importer is just padding their own pockets with massive margins. So yeah, 😁

So, are you trying to say Twinlab isn't any good, or...
if that's the case, who do you think is actually the best manufacturer?
Best protein powders for muscle gain? in Hobbies & Leisure ·
jadetiger962 said:And who actually won the award over the last six years?

Look, price doesn't define quality—the importer defines the price. Over in the States, Twinlab products are WAY cheaper than what we see here because our local distributors slap on these insane margins. Plus, just because something costs more doesn't automatically mean it's better.

They scrapped the award altogether.😁

It really is linked, though. Sure, Twinlab might rip you off, but at least you know exactly what you're getting...

Everything else is way cheaper abroad, too.

Correction—it’s Anabolic Evolution, my bad
Best protein powders for muscle gain? in Hobbies & Leisure ·
jadetiger962 said:On what grounds?

Because their stuff is just cleaner.
Look, if you take their Mass Fuel, for example, it’s totally fat-free. Just to give you some perspective, compare that to Weider’s Anabolic Revolution—you're looking at 7.5g of fat there, even though they're supposed to be serving the exact same purpose.
...

You won't find a single complaint about their products anywhere on the internet; it's nothing but praise (and yeah, I'm talking about myself since I've been using them lately).

They actually won Manufacturer of the Year.
Back in 2002, they were voted the #1 American brand by actual US athletes.

And at the end of the day, PRICE DEFINES QUALITY!!!!
Best protein powders for muscle gain? in Hobbies & Leisure ·
Biotech, Scitec, Multipower... total garbage.

Honestly, Weider is slowly turning into a joke.

Optimum, Dymatize, Labrada... they're alright.

But if you want the best? Twinlab is miles ahead of everyone else.

Lawrence Phillips said:So, if I theoretically manage to hit at least one gram of protein per kilogram of body weight through my diet, I shouldn't see any progress, right?

I’ve been reading up on whey protein and how much it actually helps with recovery and muscle growth after hitting the gym.

Is it okay to use whey as my only supplement? Like, if I can't grab a high-quality snack during the day, would it be a good idea to just have one shake as an extra boost alongside my mandatory Post-workout meal?

Look, honestly, drinking a protein shake is way better than grabbing some greasy, fat-filled pastry from a fast food joint.😁
